For a Long time I've tried not to show my natural hair because what I see around me is long straight hair. I permed my hair and I loved it, always getting compliments from left to right but what people don't know is that the hair they always compliment about takes a lot of work to maintain. 1 years without a single chemical but still not ready to show my natural curls. Braids after braids and ashamed of what I was born with. Until one day I said "My Hair is not who I am" Big Chop 8/19/14
