So I decided to use my As I Am curling jelly this time. I wet my hair in the shower (not a full wash. I just wanted to pop some moisture in my hair since there's anyway conditioner. Typically I'd use custards, jellies, and gels after a full wash day).
Here's my hair straight out the shower.
Here's after I brushed the jelly through. My curls become a bit more uniform and frizz it cut down. Though different textures DO respond differently, so I wouldn't say it's as uniform as doing twists or braids by themselves.
I used those bristle brushes similar to the denman brush. I don't use those often (I hear my hair snap sometimes so it scares me a little π). This jelly doesn't have a strong hold at all. I wasn't going for long so that's fine for me!
I didn't wear it as a wash n go (tbh I hardly go outside). I scrunched in some sweet almond oil to hold on the moisture and did some big braids.
