• emery was a state champion swimmer and tennis player in highschool

• samira did theater

• hard of hearing emery is so dear to me

• army vet emery walsh (i know it's controversial because people say that it's just yurifying mohabbot but idrc i love both of them)

• personal opinion is that emery only did her four years so the military could pay for school. she gets sent on two tours and on the last an IED blows up her convoy which results in her 70% hearing loss

• their kids are athletes. with emery's competitive streak and samira's determination, their kids have a couple championships in their respective sports

• they meet during samira's r1 year while she's at the VA. emery used to do PRN (latin pro re nata, means as needed) work for them when she had off days from PTMC

• when samira transfers to PTMC during her r2, she and emery have already been dating for 6 months

• they have a very private wedding right after the start of her r3 year, with garcia and collins as their witnesses

• emery gets samira to socialize, convinces her that getting a drink with trinity and dennis won't kill her

• emery has since had to DD a group of very drunk emergency medicine doctors on multiple occasions

• nerds. both of them.

• samira is a crossword enthusiast and movie fanatic and emery is a bookworm and music snob (she'll say otherwise)

• samira was so surprised at how well emery could cook at the beginning of their relationship. on her bad days, especially during her r2 year, emery would make sure that she always had samira's favorite meal ready before she left for work

• they work opposite shifts. occasionally, emery will switch to mornings for like a week, but mostly they work opposite shifts. they always make sure their days off align, though emery gets more cause she's an attending

• trinity started game night as a way to bond with the pittlings (which trinity very adamantly said that included samira even though she's like 3 years older then most of them). samira goes to game night and emery goes to the bar with garcia, ellis, jack, and shen in what they've deemed the "darts of death" tournament

• eventually, samira convinced emery to join them and as time went on the game night crew grew. baran came with trinity, cassie with vic, ellis with mel (cause frank and trinity were still working on being in the same room civilly), and jack with dennis. it's a very chaotic group and something always ends up broken

• i think trinity and baran become their closest couple friend if that makes sense. samira and baran are already friends from the VA and i'm a big fan of emery and trinity basically being sisters. patients have literally mistaken them for sisters when emery comes down for a consult and they just stopped correcting people

• big fan of the idea that the emery and trinity dynamic started on a night where samira all but drug emery to the bar with her and the pittlings. a couple of beers each and trinity challenges emery to an arm wrestling competition (which she promptly loses) and a bond is formed

• back to the couple friend dynamic, they babysit for each other the most out of any other couple. it is not uncommon for one of them to show up at the other couple's door and just hand them a kid

• switches. like it really depends on what kind of day they had and what they think the other person might need

• try to keep it professional at work, and succeed for the most part. but when emery catches robby berating samira after her panic attack, everyone hears her curse him out behind a closed door. they try to avoid paging emery for the rest of the day which irritates the mess out of garcia cause she's stuck with the consults
