Headcanons:

Scott’s constant fight to do what is right without turning his back on his friends has made him the confident Alpha that he is today. 

His brushes with Death and his losses have caused him to be kinder to those around him, keeping close the memory of whom he has lost to remind him that everyone deserves kindness and understanding. 

He is willing to trust anyone until they prove untrustworthy, and even then, Scott has learned to—at the very least—attempt to understand others’ points of view. 

Scott is a pacifist---preferring to avoid a fight, but ready to stand his ground and protect those around him without hesitation.

With his scent significantly weakened, it was harder to spot his packmates---even his sight had taken a hit. With his heart beating furiously in his throat, when he finally caught a familiar scent, it did nothing but nauseate him. The smell of a fresh corpse. A few steps from him, someone laid on the ground lifeless, a look of terror in their features. 

Catching another familiar scent, he turned to face whom he thought to be Theo. “... Theo?” he questioned in confusion. “It’s me, Scott.”

“Oh don’t sound so enthused,” Hope sarcastically responded. “I think everyone’s going alright for now. I can’t speak the same for later. I’m doing good. Despite all the weird I think having my parents around has been a bonus.”

“Sorry,” he apologized with a chuckle. “My body is here, but my mind is... elsewhere,” Scott tried to explain, feeling slightly embarrassed. “Seems that way,” he agreed when she noted everything seemed ok so far. It did surprise him that her parents were there too, however. Scott already felt lucky that some of his pack had been brought over, and his mind was trying to attach the Ghost Riders to their pulling into Avalon. However, what were the odds that Hope and her family would all be brought in if it was random? Then again, he didn’t really know they’re situation. 

Too much thinking was giving him a headache, and he always ended up at the same question: was his mom ok? Taking a moment to scan his surroundings, Scott nodded slightly. “Definitely helps... Hey, crazy question: where you or your parents doing something.... out of the ordinary when you were brought over? Like... I don’t know, battling mythical supernatural storm riders, an unhinged Darach?  Evil, occultist scientists?” He tried to be as casual as he could.... But it wouldn’t surprise him if Hope just walked away.

Lizzie pauses at the way he asked about her ability to light him on fire, usually it wasn’t met with such excitement, great he was crazier than her. “That is child’s play compared to what I can do, I’ve been making fires since I was toddler.” Than again she usually wasn’t doing that so much on purpose but that was details. Lifting her head to look taller and more serious, “That’s right, he’s an older vampire, very dangerous.” She answers though had no real idea of Xavier’s willingness to fight or his skillset but he was older than her mother so that had to mean something.

Lizzie raised a brow at the other, “You think people would just linger outside when there is a whole castle to be in or gardens for them to walk around in?” Looking around outside it wasn’t the worst place for someone to hang out obviously, it was still a castle. Though there were plenty of things to be done rather than just stand around. “How I got here? I was swallowed up by a sink hole like everyone else. Had to dig myself out of the mud in the woods.” She assumed that was how everyone got here, not realizing the storm that rolled in and had Beacon Hills folks wash up on the beach.

As she spoke on her abilities, Scott couldn’t help but watching her in awe. It sounded pretty awesome, if he could be honest. Sounded exactly like what the werewolf thought Druids---such as Deaton---would be able to do. Scott tried not to think about it, since when he did he felt like he was betraying Deaton and all the help the Druid had given him. So excited with the idea and the images she had put in his head, that Scott didn’t even bothered to think it was a bluff and ask for proof. He also forgot she was talking about vampires like they were real.

Lizzie’s question cut through the awkwardness he was feeling after realizing he had sounded like a creep. “Why not? It’s a nice night out,” Scott pointed out with honesty. Although he did omit how creepy the castle seemed to him. Another thing that took him by surprise was Lizzie’s recount of how she arrived. Not only was it far more detailed than what he had previously gotten, it was completely different from how he and his friends had arrived themselves. “That sounds... horrifying,” he admitted, sporting a furrowed brow under his mask. “I’m sorry.... But yea, not at all how I got here,” the werewolf still admitted. “A storm... brought me?” Yes, he was a werewolf, yet that was still a very odd thing to say.

Betsa didn’t know why she was at that party, she used to love those yet, that place was new, and she didn’t like the feeling of not knowing what could happen in a place like that. She got dressed in a cheerleader costume, she wasn’t proud of her choice, it was really basic yet she didn’t really know what was she doing there.

The she-wolf managed to take a cup of whatever drink that was, and just stood far from the crowd, yet she noticed the alpha standing at a corner of her room. Her eyebrows furrowed, she didn’t know what was going on but something didn’t feel right. Her blue eyes moved to find Scott telling her where was the way out. “Are you alright?” she asked quickly as she walked towards the exit the werewolf told her.

“No,” Scott answered honestly when Betsa asked if he was alright. His gaze focused on the screams coming from inside the party as people poured out the exits in a panic. He’d smelled blood somewhere, but now his sense of smell had dulled greatly. He couldn’t quite see as well as before either and his hearing had lost potency too. He was freaking out, but the chaos around him kept Scott from losing himself. 

“My senses are dull and I... can’t shift,” the Alpha shared. “Are you ok?” While he had learned that his physique had changed somewhat, Betsa didn’t seem to look too different from usual.

Lizzie gives a shrug, “I mean I guess, its the only place I’ve live but I have traveled with my mother.” If she had the choice to live anywhere else Lizzie would be tempted to take it but only if her family was with her, the idea of leaving Josie seemed pretty heart breaking. “I mean I couldn’t leave my sister.” She mentions thinking of her twin and hoping she was alright at this moment in time. “California, god that must be nice. At least you can get to some nice beaches most likely and its more sunny than anything, right?” She couldn’t say Mystic Falls was the worst place but it wouldn’t win any awards. “Elizabeth Saltzman but everyone calls me Lizzie.”

Lizzie gives an uneasy look around the party, leaving a crowded area to talk in private with a strange but cute guy seemed to be a red flag to her given the last time she went away with a guy but the odds of some stranger trying to get her to turn into a vampire against her will again had to be way too high right? “Ah I guess so but I do warn you my date is totally a protective vampire and I can set you on fire with my mind.”

“Oh...” Hearing her speak about her mother brought Scott worries about his own. Was she ok? Who was keeping her safe? Or making her dinner after the long shifts? That’s to say she was still working... Scott could only imagine how worried she was with him missing. Her enthusiasm about Cali made Scott smile, even though her assumptions were wrong. “I’m from Northern California---slightly different, but still just as beautiful,” he promised politely. “Nice to meet you, Lizzie.”

Her answer to his petition, along with the shift in her mood and body language confused the werewolf. Lizzie’s words gaining her a puzzled look. However, her threat did more to lighten Scott’s tension and get him excited than it did scare him. “You can really do that?” he questioned with enthusiasm looking at her in awe. “That’s pretty awesome--wait, you just said vampire?” he questioned as her words echoed in his mind, leading the way out. It was a party, no way everyone was inside.

Liv was mostly keeping to herself, partly because her half-assed zombie costume was not worth showing off to the rest of the partygoers who had gone all out and also because she had no desire to run into her psychotic brother. God knew what costume he had gone for and she had no interest in him sneaking up on her wearing a creepy Ghostface mask. So, standing in a corner felt like the safest option. Just as she was starting to wonder why she had even bothered showing up, things got significantly worse. Screams erupted from everywhere around her and she started feeling…wrong. “What the fuck…” She whispered as people ran past her to the exit and a stranger dressed as a wolf called out to her. Against her best judgement, she ran in the direction he motioned towards. “What’s happening?”

Just as he was being approached and spoken to, Scott fell to the ground. His eyes flashed from bright red to bright gold before the light was completely snuffed. Scott’s muscles rippled under his skin and he began to heave. “Something’s.... wrong....” he tried to speak but it pained him. Fur began to poke out from his skin as his body itself began to morph. Pain blinded him, yet it was all gone in a moment.

That’s when he really panicked. “Are you ok?” he questioned, unaware of his new crude appearance. He knew he wasn’t ok but so long as he could stand, he could help others.

Lizzie looks to the boy with a small laugh, “From here? No way, I’m from this boring little town in Virginia.” She liked the idea of thinking she was from somewhere nice and exotic rather than so dull. “You think I’m some kind of Fairy?” She asks amused by the very idea of it. “So I guess that means you’re not from here Wolfboy.”

It was odd to hear someone admit they were from elsewhere and be so... carefree about it. “Boring or not, isn’t it home?” he questioned, unconsciously offended. It was the same thing people back in his home said about Beacon Hills. It seemed, short-sighted to the werewolf although perhaps becoming a werewolf was what cemented his love for Beacon Hills. “No. Beacon Hills, California,” he answered lowly, watching their surroundings. It took him a moment to notice she had called him by a madeup petname. “Sorry. I’m Scott McCall.”
