Candy : That’s a Winged Skulls song, isn’t it?

Castiel : Hey… It looks like I’ve finally made something of you, musically speaking! 

Castiel : Can you see which one it is? It’s on their first album…

Candy : Eh… Let’s calm down. You know blind tests aren’t really my thing.

Castiel : It’s called ‘Beaten Paths’. And it’s thanks to her that I got into sound when I was ten.

Candy : Crazy, you’ve ever told me that before, I think.

Candy : In fact, I think I’ve always imagined you with a guitar…

Castiel : No. I don’t have an absolute ear for music or anything. In fact, we didn’t listen to much music at home.

Castiel : But my parents had got into the habit of always bringing me a little present from their travels…

Castiel : Most of the time it was something to do with the country they were returning from.

Castiel : Until that blessed day when my father didn’t have time to find me anything in Los Angeles.

Castiel : So, to maintain the tradition, he took a CD from me at random, in an airport shop.

Castiel : When I think back, it’s unlikely that this little band that was just starting out was sold there…

Castiel : As luck would have it sometimes. He chose this album because he liked the cover design.

Castiel : It was “Through the Rabbit Hole”… The greatest masterpiece of its generation…

Castiel : But I didn’t realise that until later. For me, that was the first real contact with rock.

Castiel : And it changed my life. I’m not sure why, but I became obsessed with that album.

Castiel : I played it until the hi-fi system in the living room burned out! 

Candy : No…? For real?

Castiel : Ask my parents if you don’t believe me!

Castiel : The fact is that a low-quality mini-system is not designed to take forty-three hours of loop playback…

Castiel : The next day, I put all my savings into a crappy CD player and off I went again ! 

Castiel : I realised that’s what I wanted to do. At school, there was a guy who played.

Castiel : As he had just bought his first electric guitar, he was kind enough to give me his old one.

Castiel : That’s how I learned music, by trying to find note after note of the score of “Beaten Paths”.

Castiel : I’ve worked like crazy, to make my fingers bleed, but in the end I got it right.

Castiel : So I moved on to the other songs on the album.

Castiel : And I never stopped… So yes, there’s no doubt that my life would have been very different…

Castiel : Without my father, and if I hadn’t blocked that song out at the time.

Candy : It’s cute. Almost creepy, but cute. You’re pretty obsessive, actually, when you get down to it.

Castiel : Not so much, if you count it. I only have two obsessions in my life. Music, and…

Castiel : I’ll let you guess which one is the other. Hint: I knew her in my last year of high school.

Candy :I didn’t say it bothered me, take note…

Castiel : So, how do we start our lives as married billionaires ?

Castiel : We’re going straight for greatness and ask for a candlelit dinner on a private island ?

Castiel : Or should we play it progressive and order drinks to toast in our jacuzzi ?

Castiel : Yeah, that’s not bad, is it ? I’d like that…

Candy : OK, Mick. Let’s do this ! We’re here to enjoy ourselves, aren’t we? I’m gonna go heat up the hot tub. (Before, Tomato boy spoke of feeling like Mick Jagger.)

(He met me there three minutes later with a champagne bucket and two glasses. That’s fast room service !)

Castiel : A small glass of Dom Pérignon, dear ?

Candy : Gladly. And the waiter too, please, young man.

(He handed me my drink and joined me in the Jacuzzi. We drank a toast, eye to eye.)

(Through the glass, the setting sun blazed across the horizon, illuminating the jungle in a sumptuous light.)

(I sat on him. He gave me a hug. We drank a toast. His eyes shone with emotion).

Castiel : I never thought I would one day experience such happiness… I was so lucky to run into you again five years ago.

Castiel : I was going in all directions and getting lost. You’re my only destination. That’s all this decor is. I never forget it.

(I turned to kiss him passionately. Neither have I, suddenly I didn’t care about the scenery either, no matter how majestic).

Candy : You know, I wouldn’t have believed that life could be so beautiful either.

And why his tits are this smol. I hoped for some muscle but his have none

I fondly recall something like “if you do not write, you should not complain” and “do not judge the story before it ends”. Well, he wrote it waaaay more poetic, because he knows the words. 

You see, we are at the end of story. No matter how well written the last episode will be- the plot will suck. There is no other option, because there are too many unfinished sideplots left, unbaked characters, and (personal opinion here)- the idea of Eldarya and Earth consuming each other and changing into new world is not satisfying. Sure, it can be technically written well, with FINALLY no repetitions, or unnecessary scenes, but the story won’t be good. 

But we are at the end whether we wanted or not, so is it my time to say it with Beemoov’s blessing? Can I say it now? 

It sucked. 

The romance was awful- Lance and Erika “discussing” Valkyon’s death (and I use quotation because it wasn’t a proper discussion, it was Lance discouraging Erika from repeating his mistake. Good one, but on his route there was a dire need of real discussion about HIS deed and HIS feeling). Sex scenes instead of building intimacy and trust. Boys acting the same- the only difference between those love scenes are Lance’s obsession with choking Erika on illus and Nevra’s biting us. 

Erika was even worse than Candy. Here, I said it. At least Candy has some feelings for her parents. 

What about that djin? What about Tenjin? Kitsunes, who were loyal to their king (and why shouldn’t they, it’s not like he treated them badly)? What about faeries who are hostile to humans, how do you think they will react to Earth? What was Ophelia’s role? I still want to know Leiftan’s past! What about Erika’s mother- is our MC ok with her being somewhere… around… not remembering her child? What about Memoria? Why Valkyon is so forgotten in ANE, he was a core member of the battle and rebirth of Eldarya- rebirth, that was obviously not needed if things go shite now. 

Like why is he sad about eldarya dying when it’s literally the consequences of HIS action.
