Travel Facts 101:Canada vs USA 1. Now I know why it's called "southern heat". It's freakin hot. Day or night I was melting but then again I would take that over snow any day. 2. People are so Nice! No one is in a rush compared to Calgary. They greet you with "ma'am" or "baby". 3. Alcohol is way cheaper. They free pour and drinks are super strong. $2.50 beers = winning 4. The music in Nashville is outstanding. Even dodgy bars had great performers. I guess that's why they call it music city. 5. The freeway! Omg is a lifesaver! I never once encountered "rush hour traffic". 6. The FOOD. I'm pretty sure I gained 100 pounds but it was worth it. Fried chicken, biscuits, cat fish mmmm the list goes on. 7. I noticed very few people drink in Nashville. I'm not sure if it is because they are very religious but it is something I noticed. 8. Smoking is still allowed in bars. 9. Everyone dresses very casual in Nashville which is nice coming from Calgary where a night out entails dressing to the nines or you stick out like a sore thumb on a Saturday night. 10. Compared to Canada, the U.S. Is extremely patriotic.
