MJ suggested as she leaned her hip against the doorway to Odin's office, arms folded triumphantly across her chest. Their planner had warned that including Vili in her shopping trip might prove to be TOO tempting for the Borrson bothers, make one or both of them desperate to talk the other about what she'd chosen. But MJ wasn't exactly known for responding the way one expected when told NO, and besides - she'd wanted Vili to be there, so he was. Simple as that.

                                      𝗛𝗘  𝗖𝗔𝗡  𝗧𝗘𝗟𝗟  𝗕𝗬  𝗛𝗘𝗥  𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘  𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧  𝗦𝗛𝗘'𝗦  𝗡𝗢𝗧  𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗟𝗬  𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧  𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗬.  years  of  getting  to  know  her  peeling  back  her  layers  and  being  able  to  read  her  like  an  open  book  𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵  𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲  𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘆-𝘁𝘄𝗼  𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗱  𝗳𝗼𝗻𝘁  allowing  him  to  gage  just  how  in  trouble  he  actually  is.  odin  leans  back  in  his  office  chair,  hands  clasped  and  resting  on  his  middle  as  he gently  sways  back  and  fourth.  a  𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸  𝗼𝗳  𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲  forms  on his  face,  lips  pursing  in  through  before  he  casually  shrugs,  ❛  i  . . .  may  have  asked  vili  about  a  dress.  but  you  can't  prove  it  was  about  your  wedding  dress.  ❜  he  explains,  lips  tugging  into  a  ghost  of  a  cheeky  grin  as  he  tilts  his  head  slightly.

Her eyes were seeing it but her brain couldn't process it - the KNIFE that lay where Odin had kicked it across the floor, edges wickedly sharp and glinting in the glare of the overhead lights. The man pinned face down on the marble floor by the newly arrived hotel security officer, still SCREAMING MJ's name and begging her to understand. How much he loved her, supported her, needed to meet her because he was certain that they BELONGED together...

How long had he been hiding in her closet? How often had he gained access to her room? And what would've happened if Odin HADN'T been there when he decided to show himself?

As the sound of rapidly approaching police sirens began to wail outside the window, MJ stepped into her boyfriend's open arms and fell to PIECES - sobbing against his chest, fists balled into the fabric of his shirt.

                                  —— 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞  𝗚𝗢𝗗  𝗛𝗘'𝗗  𝗕𝗘𝗘𝗡  𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘  𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗡  𝗛𝗘  𝗛𝗔𝗗.  thank  god  they  planned  to  go  out  for  lunch  unprompted.  thank  god  he  was  with  her.  thank  god  he  was  with  her.  in  all  reality,  something  had  felt  off  for  a  couple  of  days,  what  with  a  missing  key  card  and  slight  shifts  in  her  hotel  room  that  were  chalked  up  to  hotel  staff.  but  the  reality  was  so  much  more  sinister,  so  much  more  terrifying  that  odin  didn't  want  to  fathom  what  could  have  happened  if  mj  had  been  alone.  sure,  she  could  take  care  of  herself,  but  that  creep  would  have  gotten  the  jump  on  her,  just  like  he'd  tried  to  get  the  jump  on  him. 

                                  being  twice  the  man's  size  and  filled  to  the  brim  with  muscle,  it  didn't  take  much  to  restrain  the  assailant  in  a  headlock  after  he'd  launched  himself  out  of  the  closet.  odin  had  no  idea  if  the  man  had  a  weapon  on  him  or  what  his  plans  were  once  he'd  left  his  hiding  spot,  but  he  was  not  about  to  find  out.  managing  to  get  the  man  in  a  chokehold,  odin  managed  to  easily  restrain  the  stalker  while  yelling  at  mj  to  call  security.
