I recently noticed that two of the chimneys that came with the Adventure Awaits expansion pack despite looking like chimneys, and being named chimneys, are not technically considered chimneys by the game.
In short, chimneys in The Sims 4 are meant to output a smoke effect when a fireplace on the lot is active. These two Adventure awaits chimneys do not do that. At all.
And the best thing? Maxis did this AGAIN in the Royalty & Legacy expansion pack! Yet another chimney that doesn't work...
So I went ahead and fixed them.
But I also did a few other fixes as well...

The three mentioned chimneys were lacking the required tuning and smoke effect slot, so I've added them.
While doing this little project, I also noticed that two of the Cottage Living chimneys had their smoke effect placed at the base of the chimney, rather than... well, where the smoke would actually come out. So I fixed that.
I also managed to make the second chimney output the smoke in a split stream, which should go in accordance with its design.
That then prompted me to do the same thing with the Growing Together chimney as well:
Oh, and the taller Discover University chimney had a misplaced slot for its smoke effect too. Huh. Well, you can consider it fixed!
PHEW.
Anyhow, I better go make a bug report on these, but for now the fixes should do the job just fine.
I've edited the 'Slot', 'Rig' and 'Object Definition' resources of these chimneys where it was needed. The three previously non-functioning chimneys required new and unique 'Slot' and 'Rig' resources as well.
This will not make the affected chimneys appear as custom content in your game.
The provided files are separated by pack, so delete the ones that you don't own.

I'm seeing an influx of questions regarding broken shadows in TS4 CC creating places just recently so I thought I would put this out there:
If your mesh is over 10k polygons then the shadows will break.
If you see stringy shadow lines covering your CC then it's because your mesh is way too high poly for the game.
Whatever you're making, with very few exceptions, this is insanely detailed for something in TS4.
I feel as though some CC creators don't realise that a lot of the 3D details seen on items are faked. They are a flat surface with a Normal texture applied to give the illusion of depth.
Please, make use of Normal textures. They are your friend and your computer will thank you for it.

I've updated the mod to add the fix for the Fabrication beginner skill book back as my standalone mod to give the Fabrication books unique covers is no longer required as of the Feb 3rd patch.

I finally got around to updating San Myshuno for the latest patch. Sorry this one took a while. I was having issues with the layered textures. I may still need to go back and tweak them some more at some point but for now, it is at least working.

Thin Book Tuning Fix has been updated to include missing code and to add new code in preperation for the Login event which unlocks a Little Library object.
A file to correct how Sims hold and read certain thin books.
All of my map overrides, excluding San Myshuno, are now updated for the latest patch.
San Myshuno will take longer due to the extra images it uses and the number of alterations they have made with asset placement. I also have transparency to fight with.
I do have a version that works with the latest patch but the textures are full of pixel artifacts and transparency issues so it won't get released publicly until I fix all of that. I hope you understand.
Just a quick heads up that my map overrides will need an update for the latest patch and my fix for Sims carrying certain books incorrectly may potentially need updating as well. I'll try to get to them this weekend.

EA did it again and gave us a recolour of the City Living headwrap without updating them to make them work with the hat hair colour system we've had since Growing Together. The tech is even BG compatible at this point in time.
So, this will enable all hair colours for all swatches of the "new" headwrap. Just pop it in your downloads folder.

The durags that were introduced via an SDX drop suffer from a design issue of having the hair texture as part of the hat swatch so I've taken it upon myself to update these to use the new system we have for newer headwear designed in this way.
I've also "fixed" an issue with the female Toddler version. For some reason the Normal texture is applied in the wrong place. I can't get it to show in the correct area so I've made it blank instead.
