A big part of it is that I don’t feel very confident in my art yet. I know a lot of people enjoy it, and I’m incredibly grateful for that, but in my head it still feels strange to imagine people actually spending money on something I made. I always end up thinking, “Is it really good enough?”

I mean, Rosie is an Overlord, and she made Alastor "The strongest sinner in Hell".

I bet Lucifer could give him something.

I always saw it as Lo not really being able to use magic, even if Lucifer or Alastor wanted to help him with it. The stitches on his neck actually mean something important too! his spinal cord got disconnected or badly damaged at some point in his life, and because of that, his connection to magic is all messed up!

So even if he did get magic from them somehow, he probably wouldn’t be able to control it properly. Since he never inherited natural magic in the first place, he doesn’t really understand how to use it, and his body doesn’t respond the way it should. It’s kind of like his brain is trying to tell the magic what to do, but the magic itself just doesn’t listen to him!!

So even though he’s literally the son of the Radio Demon and the Morningstar, I don’t think powers can just be handed to him like that 🥺 Magic in Hazbin always felt like something tied deeply to the soul and the self (or a deal for their soul, but I doubt they want their sons soul), and Lo’s body just doesn’t cooperate with it anymore.

I can even imagine him trying so hard when he was younger because everyone around him expected him to eventually unlock something 🥹😭 But every attempt probably ended in failure, exhaustion, or the magic reacting unpredictably because his body couldn’t sync with it properly. After a while, he likely just stopped bothering altogether because it only reminded him of what he couldn’t do

I’ve redesigned Angel Lu a bit, I think he looks SOOOO adorable now🥹✨ I couldn’t really decide if I wanted his clothes to be pink, blue, or yellow, so I honestly just merged them LOL!! I still love this AU, it’s my baby, and I’m planning to make a longer comic with multiple parts on it!!

What would happen if Alastor got his body back? Would Al disappear, become incorporeal like Alastor was, or become Alastor's shadow? Since Lucifer views Al as his lover, would he even like Alastor, or would he be upset that Al is missing and this stranger took his place?

Yes, once Alastor turns back, Al will be reverted back to a little shadow where no one but Alastor can see it!

Lu will be so saddened, his first friend and lover is gone and replaced with a grumpy guy, but I think he’d warm up to him! At least this big guy can envelop him in a big ol hug when it’s cold. Not that Alastor likes it or anything… or does he?
