You know you’re on the right track when you become uninterested in looking back.

Everyone is wondering how you stop loving someone who doesn’t feel the same way about you and the answer is that’s not something you can just do. But you can make certain changes in your life and hope that it eventually happens. We can meet new people and we can preoccupy ourselves with hobbies and we can move or get new jobs or a pet. We can cry or we can refuse to. We can workout until we pass out or we can eat our grief. But we can’t just decide to not feel a certain way anymore because that’s not how feelings work. Feelings work like this: they’re strong then they’re stronger but then they eventually fade.
