Light impacts heat

The colour of something impacts heat.

Lighter is cooler and darker is hotter. Imagining that once the Eridians have managed to fake the sun's heat/UV Grace can tell which rocks will be warmer/cooled without touching them and this is CRAZY. Or even an Eridian with darker spots commenting that they feel hotter in some spots and Grace is like "oh yeah your carapace is almost black there, the rest is a pretty light blue" and they're like "WHAT??"
