bad things usually happened when he found himself gazing down at the bottom of a bottle or a glass that was once full of bourbon or some other type of alcoholic drink. like murder. accidental or not. that night would still ď˝ď˝ď˝ď˝ď˝ď˝
ď˝Â him, ( you would think that nothing would phase the man, but it did; everything he had done, good bad or indifferent, had changed the agent in more ways than one. ), even though he had taken it upon himself to hide the body in the desert. he hadnât wanted to go down, and he knew that mike would have done anything to get briggs to talk or to find evidence on him. hell, the boy almost burnt the whole house because he had wanted to see briggs go down. ( for more reasons than the accidental murder of jaun badillo. ).
the events of last night had ď˝ď˝ď˝ď˝ď˝Â the agent to his very core; it shook him hard that his hole body ached more than he ever thought possible and briggs had worked weeks without sleep, but this was DIFFERENT. this was one of those hangovers, he wouldnât wish on his worst enemy. feeling the mattress move, as what briggs could only assume was charlie, he felt the nudge of his shoulder, followed by a voice, he couldnât recall, yet in the BACK of his mind, the thought of having charlie by his side, once again, hit him and the words that left his mouth, were hoarse. âchuck⌠stop⌠i just wanna sleep.â not only was his voice hoarse, but his mouth was dry and his words were still slurred from the ď˝ď˝ď˝ď˝ď˝ď˝ď˝Â amounts of alcohol he had consumed the night before. rolling himself over, briggs felt his eyes open and as the sun came into view, heâd cover his eyes with his arm, his hazel hues falling upon the woman, he had mistaken for charlie. âoh, shi- shit.. yeah, i think we should.â briggs didnât want to get up. didnât want to move or speak or fucking breathe for that matter, but he found himself propping up against the headboard. âiâm a little HAZY on the details, but i think weâll be able to figure out whatâs happened.âÂ
pulling a hand through her MESSY hair still in shock at her own STUPIDITY. for a mere second alex thought the man was HANDSOME. until BOOTH trickled into her thoughts once again. no, she couldnât do that, even they were on DIFFERENT terms at this point. could these two RETRACE their steps? it was a RISK the young woman was willing to take.Â
despite the SMALL ACHE inside her skull she was confident and willing to do anything to remember. even while TRAINING at quantico the agent never experience such a thing. every little thing was remembered and never forgotten. nothing compared to ALCOHOL INDUCED headache. or itâs power to FORCE memories out of ones head.Â
snapping her eyes back towards the man, alex nodded. âi think we should retrace out steps. i donât know where we MET exactly. so maybe this is going to be HARDER than i thought. then again, iâm not ready to throw in the towel yet, i think we can manage this?âÂ
eyes began to close, thinking, processing everything that went on BEFORE her booze happy ADVENTURES. marriage and a handsome man was on the menu; something the young agent NEVER EXPECTED. not with booth still out there holding her INTEREST. maybe this was a way to BLOW OFF STEAM. whatever the case was, it happened, and she needed to why and how?Â
âwhatever fun we had last night,â eye starring over at him, âiâm sure we can reverse whatever did happen. right?â hoping the man would agree with her. in life and her career, now was not the time, if it ever was an OPTION - alex didnât know, not yet at least.Â
putting out a hand to him, âalex parrish, i guess we should get to know each other---- again.â an amused expression danced across her lipstick smeared lips.Â
