My favorite crackpot theory for any TV show ever has got to be that Alex was kidnapped by Ava and forced to write those letters because why else would he leave Jo like that?

It would make me feel much better because I refuse to believe he would leave Jo for Izzie and leave Jo a letter the same way Izzie did him!
