Maybe photography is mysterious precisely because it removes the filter of our own neurological framework, allowing us to climb out of our heads and look at the world in an entirely different way. The simple act of photographing a scene recontextualizes every single object within the frame. By halting the constant flow of visual information it removes the illusion of certainty that our multi-sensory perception generates.”
