This is @toonjazzy's Solarballs Luna! I'm starting to think that shiny things are my trademark 😅Also, this was supposed to be my "rest drawing" after the previous one but I can't not overdo it, apparently.
With this, I remembered how to draw curly hair and I just love how hair acts in no gravity, it makes things much easier for me and knowing the main light is the Sun helps me locate the light source better.
The butterfly represents Chrysalis, it's a Luna Moth transformed into a butterfly and it's white because it's a ghost. I just liked it so much because, apart from the obvious, the family is Saturniidae (I was tempted to draw the wings of the Spanish one but I ended up choosing the classic one). Also, in Japanese culture, butterflies are sometimes seen as the souls of the deceased. And yes, the trails are meant to resemble Saturn's rings.

expect for today when i said "ms paint isn't as toxic as you are" when it glictch out and said I spent 8 hours on an artwork even though I only spent 5 minutes and i got kicked out. :PP
I use Paint Tool SAI 2. It's an oldie but a goodie and it just got an update that makes it a bit more similar to pragrams like IbisPaint and Procreate (though I haven't tried it yet because I don't want to deal with re-learning how to use it in the middle of Art Fight).
Anyways, it doesn't have a time limit which it's great when you either don't draw at all or spend the whole day drawing like me 😅And so far I haven't had trouble with it glitching except the few times it stoped detecting my tablet.
My attack for @meijicat 🩵. This is her Uranus but with an outfit and hairstyle inspired by Shenhe from Genshin impact mixed with hers.
The background is inspired by the character promo art (?) Genshin makes, but I took the concept and applied it to real life Uranus stuff: The symbols at the sides are the 2 symbols used for the planet Uranus, the circle behind her is the planet as seen with the pole facing Earth (I tried to represent its ring system's main characteristics too, aka 9 main dark gray rings, 2 thinner fainter inner rings and 2 thinner outer rings, one blue and one red), the small circle is the cryo symbol (for Shenhe but also because it's the coldest planet) and the drawing under the big circle is space because in mythology Uranus is "the sky vault" and the Aquarius constellation because Uranus rules it in astrology.
This was my most complex drawing yet and also the one worth less points but it's alright, I wanted to challenge myself and I'm doing Art Fight to show appreciation through art (because somehow that's less intimidating to me than actually talking to them) and to consolidate my style (I keep changing little things).

This one was for as @asteriskoops/sun-splotches. The center character is Mani and the one holding him is Coatlicue. Poor thing cried himself to sleep but but at least he gets some comfort unlike others (Sun...).
At first, I was going to draw something like this with Sun, but when I saw Mani I thought it fit him better. Besides, I'm not too sure if I could draw Sun (aka a canon character) if I make him gijinka, and also I don't have a defined design for him so...
Anyways, the pose and hands were a headache to draw but I like how it turned out. Here is the background with and without protoplanetary disk because it's a pity it isn't seen:

When Jupiter saw Sun again, a memory from a long long time ago surfaced:
Sun was looking back at him, vision blurried by tears. All he could really see was Jupiter surrounded by darkness as his eyes filled with tears too.
The star rushed to comfort his planet, wrapping his gravity around him as tight as he dared and reassuring him as his light tinted him in a golden hue, keeping the darkness away.

Summary: The Solar System Trials are over, but a new trial is about to start. Is this a second chance to make things better or to doom themselves to an even worse veredict not even the Sun could save them from? This time, it seems the planets are the ones under the spotlight.

Finally started this. This chapter is just the introduction and it's in the Sun's POV, but I think he'll be a background character the rest of the story. It's so weird not knowing what will happen...
I was doubting on posting about this, but I think I'd be good to spread awareness.
I have finally gotten a work leave for my burnout and I want to talk about my journey here so you can avoid some mistakes I made.
First, let me give context:
The final years of uni I put a lot of preassure on myself to finish in the minimun time possible. Most people do the mandatory 4 years and then do their final project the next year, but I wanted to finish in 4 years so I could have a gap year before starting working.
To do this, wanted to do my intership during my third year so I could do the final project during the forth. Well, it turns out that since I did the intership in the company my father was working at, they didn't want me to leave at the end of the year and I (the fool) let my father convince me to stay.
On the side, doing the intership then made me fail 3 subjects, which I had to retake the next year. Still, I pushed through and managed to do it all in the forth year.
Then, my biggest mistake:
Once while I only had the final project left, the company I had been doing the internships at called me to give me a job. I DID NOT WANT IT. However, my parents insisted that I would lose the opportunity and my mother said that by the time I actually started working it would be after the summer, so I would still have some rest. I (the fool x2) believed that, since they had more experience in the job market.
I ended out working full-time before I even finished my final project.
Everytime I felt tired, my parents would say something along the lines of "welcome to adulthood", so I thought it was normal. Also, since I've always been remote working, they told me I had it easy, making me feel like I was being lazy for wanting a rest.
Now, a few years later of programming my paid leaves, the tiredness of that missing rest accumulated enough that my life was working and sleep and anytime I had to do chores I would feel like crying (but then again I had to do them or I was "lazy").
I wanted to quit, but my mother convinced me to talk to my therapist about it and honestly I only did it because I was dreading working for another 2 weeks (pre-notice). And then, my therapist said it was my GP that had to do that. I got lucky to get an early appointment, but god, what little I had to work until then was horrible because my mind had set the finish line to the therapist appointment and I felt like I couldn't keep going.
Anyways, even though it wasn't my GP that attended me, they gave me the leave (thank every god, spirit and the universe or whatever/whoever is out here). Today is the second day of my leave (I spent the first sleeping and watching shows because of low energy) and, as I feared, my parents are asking me to do the stuff I didn't do before because of work, but I am DONE. Burnout is awful and I'm getting my rest, even if they get mad.
This is not me being lazy, this is me protecting my health, and I should have done it long ago before it got this bad.
