â BIOGRAPHY
(tw: death, harassement, implied abuse, cheating, implied injury, illness, sexual content)
Alexander was born in Austin after his family immigrated from India in hopes of reaching the American Dream. And like many families who did the same, that American Dream only became more and more of a dream than an achievable reality the moment they reached the States.
But that was all Alexander knew of his family. His father died less than a week before his birth, and his mother was already very ill since she came to the US. She managed to take care of little Alexander until he was around four years old then succumbed to her illness, and somehow, even now, he remembers her words that sheâd whisper to him:
âMy darling, I named you after the sea during storms; you are a storm.â
He never knew what she meant by that, but he holds those words dear in his heart.Â
He grew up in foster care, moving about from family to family, until he ended up living his last two years before he turned eighteen with a woman named Irene whom he could consider a second mother. She had so many books that Alexander would spend hours reading. Ever since he learned how to write, he was constantly writing his thoughts down. Any little opinion went into his little notebook.
And through the many books Irene provided for him, as well as his own writing, he discovered journalism. It wasnât his perfect dream job, but it was as close as he could get for now. He wouldnât be satisfied just with that, of course.
College was a breeze, he got the highest grade in his year when he finished his Bachelor with honours, then moved on to his Masters, and while he didnât get the highest grade there, he still finished with honours and was set to have any job heâd want in his field.
And he did, he got a job at The Wall Street Journal, from an intern during his Bachelor days, to a full time journalist by the time he was 28. And of course, he could only aim higher.
That was until he had to take a couple of months off after suffering a couple of injuries that put him into the hospital. And the injuries did not come out of nowhere.
When he was 25 he met this man named Jack, he thought he was the love of his life, everything revolved around him, around them, he couldnât even believe that he could find someone like him. They shared a love for Shakespeare, they loved going to museums and libraries and the stars, Alexander thought that he was his soulmate.
Then two years later, Jack cheated on him right after they got engaged. And thatâs when things changed, thatâs when Jack became a completely different person. And he didnât cheat with anyone, he cheated with someone Alexander used to date in the past.
There wasnât a day where Jack wouldnât make him feel like the affair was Alexanderâs fault, that because Alex wouldnât have sex with him as often as heâd like, he sought it in someone elseâs arms. And it was constant yelling and fighting, then Jack would run off to fuck his concubine a little more.Â
They still got married, for some reason he got convinced this would fix everything.
But it only got worse, because the man his now husband was cheating with pretty much moved in with them. And heâd get physical sometimes.
Alex was always polyamorous, he didnât really understand what was so bad about having more than one partner.
But this? This wasnât polyamory. Even though he eventually called the other man his boyfriend, he never loved him.
And then one day one physical altercation got worse than the rest, glass shattered and so did Alex.
He divorced Jack when he got out of the hospital and completely cut off contact with both of them.
He managed to bounce back pretty easily, though. His mind as sharp as always, he was able to continue his work and lose itself in it. But what happened then would affect him his entire life.
He became a hypersexual, just seeking comfort in as many people as possible, and never committing to anyone for long enough to get attached to them. He didnât want to experience that hell any longer.
