canonically, Jyn (~22) is more than ten years younger than Cassian (~33) in Rogue One, as far as i understand it. age gaps clearly haven’t been an issue in Star Wars…but for Cassian to become enamored with this lovable nuisance he’s known for about a week seems particularly out of character when you look at how he’s grown through Andor. in S1, he’s known for running off with lots of different women, but from what we can gather from the scenes on Niamos, most of those relationships are just for fun or catharsis. the relationship he actually wants (with Bix) is something he’s afraid to commit to, because of his own traumas and misbeliefs that conflict with her values, so he just runs away, and this is a huge theme throughout s1 which culminates in him finally being able to have faith in actually making a “home” with Bix after discovering, externally, that the other thing he was afraid to commit to (rebellion against the empire) could also work. so, you could argue that he’s romantically drawn to Jyn because Bix is gone, but that seems to reduce his character and his growth.
