Alan's Sudoku

This is one of those puzzles that crops up once in a while that is a joy to tackle.

Ranked as “Hard” but really should be downgraded.

Fun to do and doesn’t slap you in the face or have you scratching your head too much.

The wooden sudoku I ordered arrived a full three weeks early.

First go with it.

I download (free) puzzles from a site I found some time ago. The puzzles are generated at random. Every so often - quite frequently in fact - it throws out a puzzle containing a blank block of nine. It could occur anywhere in the puzzle.

Having saved them as photos I can then use my Apple Pencil on my iPad and attempt to solve them. I don’t always solve them but I refuse to use fancy techniques. If I can’t solve it with my brain and pencil I move on to another puzzle.
