Feeling so enlightened with my discoveries about the revolutionary parks movement in New York. It being the state to pass the First Park Act and Central Park being the first official public park in the Western Hemisphere, which led to the first government document with the professional title "Landscape Architect".

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg unveiled a far-reaching proposal that included building a network of barriers, fortifying the power grid and retrofitting older buildings.

A tour of Emscher Park 

I learned about the epic Industrial site turned park, Emscher Park in Germany while studying the Gowanus Canal. A fine model for Superfund and abandoned sites across the country. Click on the pic, this guys Flickr set is great!

Awesome mini doc on the Activist and urban Edenist or "Guerrilla Garderner", Adam Purple. 

I first saw this image when it graced the cover of our school's publication. That clear sight of distinctions in landscapes is engraining.
