two personal things today -

2. One of the movies i really love, lisa frankenstein is TOTALLY a trans masc allegory (kinda deep level message but lisa is transmasc, the creature is her gender identity, and the movie is an allegorized version of realizing you are trans (its a diablo cody film)

something i find very interesting about transness, is how the difference between how you see yourself and how others see you is so different for so long that it becomes very hard to actually see yourself as you are.
for example, i myself saw myself as nonbinary for a very long time. i wouldnt say i presented or concived myself as masculine, mostly because it didn’t feel good (ie was not socially rewarded at best), but now, after being out for a few years, and almost one year on hrt, how i see myself is closer to how i present - yet - there still is a huge gap in how i get treated and how i see myself.
i am often told i have “puppy dog eyes” and people have told me that they feel bad about seeing they have upset me (got told that i look like a “kicked puppy”. idk whats with the puppy shit tbh). Suffice to say, this is not how i see myself at all.
i suppose this biggest life question i have right now, and i think once i figure it out it i will have gained something from it. although i dont think this really is a wider trans thing, i think that i cannot seperate myself and my perception from the fact i am transgender.
as someone who is young and has yet to make any huge crazy finicial decisions, buying a sailboat is calling my name like bilbo was getting called to that ring

ooooojhhh i hate how Europeans think they're not just as racist as USAmericans, they have such a holier-than-thou attitude about it all. As if they don't have such harsh views about the Romani people. Or just as racist views against immigration as the US. Or a staunch hatred against Muslims. Or even a weird hatred against white Mediterraneans who are just a liiitttle tanner than an someone in Norway or some shit
you talk generally about anything remotely facist or racist and everyone is immediately like "yeah America is so scary! Trump is so dumb lol" NO stop it!! The UK government and news outlets are villanising and removing rights from disabled people DAILY. You post anything remotely close to complaining on your towns local Facebook page and at least half the comments will be talking about immigrants like they single handedly carved every pothole into our roads.
like yes America has big scary issues but as someone living in not America I'm fucking sick of everyone talking about it because it feels like we're using it to ignore our own decline.
