Tracy Wellington being Ash Holwell.
One day as a primary school student again - amazing! Thank you to Room 19, Miss Reid, and all of Titahi Bay School for welcoming me into your world and treating me like another beautifiul yound person like you all are!
We skipped, added up dice, sat on the mat, sang songs, played soccer, wrote stories, had epic games of dodgeball and mayhem, and had heaps of fun.
Artists, mates.
A beautiful dinner at Shay Green’s place - curry made by Agnieszka and myself, to compliment the amazing sourdough naan bread Shay created with Simon Gray.

Kate Coolahan – a legend in our midst.
I met with Kate a couple of weeks ago, and she was able to come to TEZA to spend some time at Sharemart, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
An incredible woman who lives in Titahi Bay – read more here.
On Thursday, 26th of November I will swap roles with Shay Green who works as a paddock hand at Wellington Riding for the Disabled in Kenepuru. Shay will work with artist Simon Gray and Breadmakers of Porirua, Unite – aiming to make sourdough naan bread!
About Shay Green:
Shay came to Porirua 1988 from Lower Huttt, and has attended Porirua East School, Brandon Intermediate, and Mana College, which he left during third form at age 15 and moved to Kapi-Mana (a school for children with mainstream learning difficulties). He attended until he was 21 whereupon he went on to do carpet cleaning with Geoff Hart for five years, living with him at the same time, before moving in with his mother Carol. It was at this point he got a job trial with Wellington RDA through Work Bridge for six month, that has turned into four years – from July 2011 until now. He maintains a work and volunteering balance with the Wellington RDA – working some hours and gifting his time to help out at the centre also.
Currently he part way through building a computer, loves spending time at his family bach in Taupo, where he holidays and rides his mountain bike, particularly at the Craters of the Moon, and enjoys visits to his brother Craig in Auckland. A passion for trains has led to Shay developing an extensive knowledge of the state of the railways and trains in the Wellington region.
Shay regards himself as a very social person, often assisting with events and getting to know different people and their cultures and beliefs. He wishes for Porirua to have more opportunities for jobs, and for there to be healthier education and more funding for kids with disabilities.
“Swapping is for me a good thing to learn another skill, good to get a new skill and to meet a variety of people who are willing provide their time to help share skills.” He is looking forward to sharing his own new abilities in making sourdough naan, through his collaboration with Breadmakers of Porirua, Unite, and Simon Gray.
“One thing I will get out of this is to learn while being surrounded by people who are willing to pass on skills that I wouldn’t usually learn, and I can pass on skills that they wouldn’t usually learn, all while making friends in the process.” says Shay.

What a legend! Snuck around the walls of ‘power’ last night with Kris, taking a crash course in being a Member of Parliament. I will be an MP on Monday the 23rd of November, whilst Kris works on an art project that is super close to his heart – listen out Porirua!
Today I swapped briefly with Vanessa Crowe of the amazing SHAREMART – and wore a shift she had saved from landfill in the process!
Check it out here and there.
