Active video game, the way I see it

This is my current project of tabletop electronic golf-themed game. I got utility patent for it.

This  is the first prototype of my current project . I made it from scratch. I hope this collaborative magnetic puzzle game will be interesting for couples and team building exercises .

In my new project I managed to combine all things I like most of all : dance arcade, retro arcades and beer. One can play beer-themed arcade game and hold beer in hand at the same time.

Classic dance machine desgned by KONAMI is mainly for those who are young and slim. But what about thise who are old or disabled?

I have reimagined the basic mechanic of the game by rerplacing step-style with a “TWIST-style”. You can dance both standing or sitting.

With approach, described in the part#1 a lot of well-known video games may be converted into outdoor attractions . For example, everobody knows "Angry Birds".  It  looks like first person shooter for kids -). How can it be modified?  First we  must add competion. Competition may be realised by adding second team with personal sling shot , own set of pigs and birds.  Two  teams may play at the 1/2 of  playground. Team mate's position at the main part of playground  determines  the force and angle of the slingshot. Birds fly over "your pigs" and hit "enemy pigs". When shots come to the end, the screen changes for a new one with total score saved. For this game we need four player. It may be two parents with two children or  two pairs of  friends.  

As in the part #1, video game attraction may be embedded into any recreation area  or fast food restarant.

As amateur inventor I like to find  some new options of well-known objects. For more than two years I think about video game's evolution. The new trend is connecting video gaming with motion.  3D motion capture systems like Kinect looks cool but have several problems:

it is very difficult to interprete   input signals as human's body has too many joints , and nobody can repeat  twice in the same way

it is very difficult to scan several persons at different distance as players can shade each other

Trying to design  UI for outdoor active video game attraction I came to conclusion that it will be better to use 2D motion capture  signal from the video camera installed high above the play ground. Complex game control may be distributed between several team members.   In order to inrich game play modes and screen may be changed by the special team member ( captain)  who moves along the special  dedicated part of the playground.   I got a patent for this solution. some more facts may be find here https://www.facebook.com/notes/alexander-katou/healthy-fast-food-restaurant-concept/10151424494517492
