It was difficult for Ace to find a way to occupy himself while you slept. He didn’t want to wake you, so he spent time away from your shared room during the sunlit hours of the day. Each time he would pass a fellow crewmate, they wouldn’t hesitate to ask about you and make Ace’s heart ache for your company. Seeing you sleep at night was peaceful, but he couldn’t help but crave the sound of your laughter.
The Moby Dick arrived at the Eastern coast of Spiceland just as the sun disappeared behind the horizon on the third day of your seemingly endless slumber. Ace didn’t want to explore without you, so Jozu and Marco took it upon themselves to be the first of the crew to visit the shoreline and scope the place out for any potential danger. Just as quickly as they rowed a small boat ashore, they returned with new information.
Whitebeard was in his quarters, getting dressed by the nurses and eased into bed for the night. He recently started wearing a heart monitor in his sleep – the nurses saying how an old man like him shouldn’t be surprising anyone anymore. The dull beeping of the machine could only be heard if one pressed an ear to the thick door of his chambers.
“Back so soon?” The Captain mused, fussing with the layers of bedsheets he found himself tangled in.
Marco pursed his lips, telling Whitebeard all he needed to know.
Jozu cleared his throat before admitting, “This place is…freaky to say the least.” He took a few steps forward to kneel by Whitebeard’s bedside and continued, “Most of what the girl said is true – but there’s a helluva lot more Nobles on this island than we anticipated. So many live here that they instituted a rule saying no more than 2 pirates on the island at a time, lest they notify the Marines.”
“You’re kidding,” Whitebeard deadpanned, sitting up in bed to push a cough from his lungs.
“I wish he was,” Marco chirped. Whitebeard looked to where he stood in the doorway, cleaning his glasses with the hem of his shirt before huffing out a deep sigh. “We were lucky to get out of there without causing too much of a commotion. If Ace had joined us, our stealth would’ve been for nothing.”
For a moment, all that could be heard was the faint beeping of Whitebeard’s heart monitor.
“The Noble-owned shops close earlier than the locally-owned, but they have more food selections that would suit our supply,” Jozu offered. “What we can do now is send teams of two to the island to buy everything they can?”
“Aye,” Whitebeard grunted in approval. “Jozu, you will oversee this and alert me if we run into any issues.”
Jozu nodded and turned on his heel to leave. Marco moved to do the same, but was stopped by Whitebeard’s final command.
He eased back into the plush mountain of pillows and blankets formed beneath him, eyes heavy from sleep-inducing medication. Despite this, Whitebeard still found the energy to ask, “Marco, let me know when the lovers wake?”
Marco met the old man’s request with a smile, and replied, “Of course, Pops,” before softly closing the door behind him.
By the time you and Ace woke up the next morning, the Moby Dick’s food supply was nearly halfway to capacity. Though, that fact changed after Ace devoured his breakfast in the mess hall.
After three full days of sleep, the crew assumed you would be well-rested, but you met each warm greeting with a massive yawn.
“I can’t believe you let me sleep so long…” You groaned into Ace’s shoulder, suddenly too shy to face another crewmate. Ace was surrounding you as you blinked your eyes awake that morning. His smile was so full of love, and he didn’t care about your morning breath as he covered you in kisses.
“Hey, I wasn’t gonna be the one to wake you after what happened with Marco,” Ace laughed as he continued to shovel food down his throat. “Besides, you needed the rest,” he paused his ministrations to wrap an arm around your shoulders, pull you into his side, and press a kiss to the top of your head. “You worked so hard to get us here safely.”
You weren’t sure if the heat on your cheeks was from the close proximity to Ace or from your own embarrassment, but you accepted the love he gave and allowed yourself to melt into his touch.
Those three days of dreamless sleep had consisted of nothing but darkness. Waking up to see Ace smiling down at you was like locking eyes with the sun. And he only got brighter as the day carried on.
Once you were finished with your meal, Marco came to fill you in on the current situation on the island. While you were disappointed in the state of things, you couldn’t say you were surprised. The locals never had a problem with Pirates before and this new ordinance had your step-father’s handiwork written all over it.
“Since you’re technically not a pirate, we’ll have Thatch accompany you two. That way, he can continue shopping while you guys sightsee, or whatever,” Marco suggested. He could tell Ace was getting antsy to go ashore since he was robbed of that when foregoing the previous pitstop. The ship’s doctor met your eyes to ask, “How long do you think you’ll stay with your mom?”
“Not long,” You admitted. “I should be back by sunset if things go well with her – and I’ll be back even sooner if things go poorly.”
Marco laughed, “Alright, we’ll have someone waiting at the docks to bring you back to the ship at around that time, then.”
And with that, you and Ace were free to explore together. As soon as you set foot on the island, you led Ace off the beaten path, totally avoiding the town square. There were a few newer roads that seemed to lead to nowhere, but they quickly disappeared the further you walked.
Spiceland was rocky; small white stones that Ace had never seen before seemed to glow in the sun – you told him they were Limestones. The ground was littered with pebbles, but the larger rocks were harder to find. It wasn’t until you were deep in the trees that Ace found one that was bigger than his own hand.
You watched as Ace marveled at the new Limestone in his possession, a small smile creeping to your cheeks the longer you looked. His pockets were already heavy with new “treasures”, causing his shorts to ride dangerously low on his hips. Your teeth tugged at your bottom lip as your eyes followed the dark hairs flowing from his bellybutton down below his belt, causing a deep, burning heat to steadily rise in your chest. A few leaves from nearby trees hitched rides on his hat and beads of sweat slowly started forming on his shoulders, covering his body in a beautiful sheen.
He looked good.
Ace snapped you out of your daze when holding the Limestone to your face and asking, “Y’think this one is big enough for a lighthouse?”
You grabbed him by his empty hand and led him further into the island before urging, “Let’s find out!”
You guided Ace past trees that kept getting taller the further you walked. The first few were almost twice his height, but nearly tripled in size after half a mile. After passing a few fox dens and ducking beneath mossy curtains, you came to a clearing with a lighthouse at the center.
Ace looked up at what towered before him, half expecting a brick or a bird’s nest to come tumbling down in response. It may have once been a great sight to behold, but now the building was practically crumbling. Weathered gray bricks were loose as they worked in tandem with climbing vines to keep the lighthouse together.
“Woah!” Ace bellowed at the base of the building, placing a hand on the top of his head to stop his hat from falling off. “This thing is old as shit!”
You laughed, “Yeah – my dad said his grandfather built it and it’s the oldest lighthouse on the island. I’m glad it’s still here…” As you spoke, you ran a hand over the ivy trailing up the wall. “I used to hide in here when I needed some space.”
Ace turned to face you with wide eyes before asking, “We can go inside?”
The door took a bit of elbow grease to pry open, but eventually gave way thanks to some firm persuasion from your hips. Cobwebs and dust mites had made a happy home inside of the lighthouse in your absence, and the spiral staircase creaked more than you remembered, but that didn’t dull Ace’s smile as you climbed up to the top.
The sunlight streaked through the clouded windows of the lantern room, making it difficult for Ace to get a good look around. Without thinking, he snapped his fingers and created a small flame to illuminate the grime caused by the Spicecloud. You nudged Ace with your shoulder and pointed to a frayed wick in the center of the room, effectively giving him a place to hold his fire. He placed the Limestone he carried on the floor before lighting the lantern, making the entire room glow in a warm, flickering light, and helping Ace see everything more clearly.
Drawings both small and large covered the wooden floor of the room. Upon further inspection, Ace realized they had to be your discarded creations. A few were messy stick figures that he guessed you drew as a child, but he could see you progress in the skill as you got older.
You crouched down to pick up a portrait that looked pretty recent to show Ace. He carefully held the paper at the edges and corners, careful not to smudge or crumple your masterpiece. The drawing was of a man who had your eyes but not much else. His mouth was turned down in a frown, but his nose crinkled as if he was just told an inside joke.
“Is this your dad?” Ace whispered, scared his fiery breath would damage the drawing if he was too loud.
You nodded in response before saying, “Drawings from memory are never as good as ones from reference,” you paused to gaze at the portrait from over Ace’s shoulder. “But I think I always get his eyes right.”
Ace smiled as he turned and carefully placed your dad’s portrait in your hands, “You should draw me, too!”
Once you found your stash of pencils and paper, you got to work. It took a while for Ace to decide on a pose, and you didn’t have the heart to tell him you would only draw him from the shoulders up. He seemed to get the hint after sneaking peeks at your sketch and being ordered to stay still a few times. Ace relaxed into a warm expression that had you scribbling down his features as quickly as you could.
“How often would you come up here?” Ace asked, watching the fire light catch the imperfections that shrouded the windows.
“Almost every day,” you hummed. “When my dad died and I had to move in with my mom, I stopped coming as much. But when I was little, I had sleepovers up here.”
“Yeah?” Ace laughed, “With all your little friends?”
Your face soured as you shaded in Ace’s dark hair, “I didn’t have too many friends growing up. Most everyone my age left the island as soon as they could to get away from the Nobles or follow their dreams.”
Ace recalled leaving his home island and leaving his brother behind after promising to meet again on the open waters. He couldn’t imagine growing up by himself.
“I wish I’d known you back then,” Ace whispered. “I woulda kept you company.”
Your lower lip trembled as you added the finishing touches to his portrait – making sure you got his freckles just right before setting the paper aside and falling into Ace’s arms. His touch was warm as he held you close, the heat from his palms sending pulses of adoration throughout your entire body.
You pulled back to dot his cheeks with quick kisses, mumbling quiet “I love you”s into his neck. His touch migrated lower and lower on your hips, hands traveling from the small of your back to your ass to grab fistfuls of the tender flesh. Your lips moved to his ear to trace your tongue over the edges and soft curves, making Ace shiver and moan in anticipation.
He tugged you into his lap, growing tired of your teasing. But as soon as your body made contact with his shorts, you groaned in discomfort. “Your pockets are too lumpy…” You frowned, swiveling in his hold to find a better place to settle.
“Oh yeah, my rock!” He suddenly remembered the large bit of Limestone he brought into the lighthouse and was eager to try it out. Ace lifted you from his lap and retrieved the stone from where he’d placed it earlier. “What do I do with it?”
“Just put it on that pedestal,” You instructed, pointing to a small platform underneath the flickering flame of the lantern.
Ace did as he was told, and soon the rock started to glow. You adjusted the various mirrors and lenses scattered throughout the space until the light from the stone illuminated the whole room. Ace had to raise a hand to his eyes to combat the blinding light before you cranked a lever he hadn’t noticed, causing the light to rotate. It was crude, but it was definitely a lighthouse.
The light that was cast blasted the dirt and grime from the windows, clearing up the view and revealing a picturesque scene of the ocean. Only after seeing the sun dancing along the surface of the water did Ace realize the light from the stone had cut through the Spicecloud as well.
“Pretty magical, right?” You smiled, sauntering towards him to run a hand over his shoulder blades.
He nodded as he eased into your touch, enthralled by what he saw.
You grabbed his attention with a firm squeeze and he turned to see the Limestone he’d collected quickly dissipating in size – almost like it was dissolving under the bright light. Ace watched as it went from the size of his fist to the size of an apple before it fizzled away into a pebble, much like the ones he saw on your way there. The stone only lasted about 10 minutes.
“Burns out pretty quick, huh?” He did his best to not sound disappointed, but he’d searched long and hard for a rock that size.
“Yeah,” you sighed, “most of the bigger rocks are further inland. The locals who don’t set up shop in the square tend to work the mines. And only a handful of us know how to work the lighthouses.”
Ace curled up an eyebrow in your direction, “So you’re sayin’ you’re a genius?”
You rolled your eyes, “I suppose I have a special skill-set…”
“Yeah you do,” Ace winked before gathering you in his arms and placing a sloppy kiss on your lips.
In order to deepen the kiss you shared, you brought your hands up to cup his face and thumbed away a few stray eyelashes. Ace tugged your bottom lip between his teeth before biting down, hard – the action eliciting a moan from you. He took that as encouragement and dipped his tongue in your mouth with a groan.
You pulled back to catch your breath, but Ace wasn’t finished yet. His hot lips moved down your neck to suck bruises into your skin.
“Ah, Ace…” you reprimanded weakly, doing your best to sound stern while not giving in to the pleasure. “No hickies! I have to see my mom.”
“Come on,” He purred, deep voice sending chills up your spine. “I saw you checkin’ me out earlier…you want me bad.”
Fuck, he was right.
You sucked your bottom lip between your teeth and allowed his mouth to roam up and down your neck, lacing your fingers in his hair as he worked. Ace’s grip on your waist grew tighter as his need for you climbed to heights that hadn’t been touched before. He missed you so much while you were asleep – the feeling of your soft skin, the feeling of his lips on yours.
Taking him by surprise, you pushed yourself out of his hold, leaving him grabbing at your wrists and shoulders, and granting a desperate, “Come back to me,” to fall from his lips.
Every so often, he would try to catch hold of your hands and tug you up to meet his lips, but you stayed at his feet. Looking up at him with wide eyes, you sighed, “Let me see you…” into his hot skin, sending chills throughout his body.
Your view was spectacular – Ace’s abs were ridged and sparkling in the lime light, making him look like some holy statue. His chest expanded with each breath he took, breathing affected by the sound of your tongue sizzling against him while his eyes stayed glued to yours. You took care in giving each scar, bruise, freckle, and birthmark your undivided attention.
Before briefly pulling away, panting and covered in sweat, you whispered, “You’re so beautiful, Ace,” into the shell of his ear.
“I need you,” he whispered, voice trembling and eyebrows furrowed. “You have no idea how bad I need you right now.”
A small laugh escaped your lips as you trailed your tongue down his chest. Ace shivered when you got past his sternum and circled his nipples, crying out when you briefly pinched them between your teeth. You tugged at the soft hair on his chest before making your way back to his face. His skin tasted salty from the sweat, but it wasn’t long before you started digging your teeth into his neck and drawing lewd moans from the deepest parts of his gut.
“Fuck…” Ace groaned, “You feel so good.”
You bit back a chuckle as your teeth sank further into Ace. The heat of his skin lapped at your fingertips as you ran eager hands across his chest and shoulders, silently demanding more of him.
Ace could only take so much of this heaven before desperately needing some semblance of relief. Desperately, he rutted his hips against your body, doing his best to generate any kind of delicious friction to get himself off as you worked.
You sensed Ace’s urgency and picked up your own pace, using the tip of your tongue to draw intricate designs on his bruised flesh before moving to his ear lobe. When you were there, he made the most amazing sounds.
Ace shivered in response, doing everything in his power to maintain composure as you dropped to your knees below him. Tears pricked his eyes as you gave him a look so full of adoration and devotion after thoroughly worshipping his body.
He’d never felt so loved.
As you kneeled before him, you revealed why you pulled away in the first place by unbuckling his heavy shorts and watching them drop to the floor with a thud. Ace was already hard and leaking through his underwear, more than obviously needy for your special attention. Gently, you kissed up his thighs to trace the outline of his hard-on over the fabric of his boxers, drawing guttural moans from deep in his chest.
The lighthouse windows were fogged up from Ace’s heat. Steam poured in from the small observation room and through the small cracks in the foundation and windows like a kettle ready to sing. And as far as Ace knew, nobody was around for at least a mile, so he could be as loud as he wanted.
He didn’t bite back cries as you took his heavy cock in your hand. He refused to censor himself and welcomed the stream of curses that darted from his mouth as you wrapped your loving lips around him. Piping hot beads of precum trailed down your throat as you took in his length all the way to the base, with short, wiry pubic hairs tickling your nose.
Ace tangled his fingers in your hair, caught in a losing battle between trying to pull you off and trying to keep you on. You dug your nails into the back of his thighs to keep yourself down on him for as long as you could – precum continuing to drip down your throat. Spit sizzled where your mouth met Ace’s abdomen, prompting you to lift your gaze.
His eyes were locked on yours, thick eyebrows furrowed, and his bottom lip was caught between his teeth before he rumbled, “I’m gonna cum…”
You hummed in reply, bobbing your head and keeping that same intense eye contact you’d established. But Ace had you figured out – he recognized that pleading look in your eye from the night he burned your stomach; the night you told him you could handle it.
With a heavy heart, he pushed you away so as not to hurt you again, but you only goaded him on by sticking your tongue out as far as it could go.
Ace furiously pumped his dick in his fist, eager to give you what you wanted. Through clenched teeth and in between rugged pants, he growled out a final warning, “Fuck…ngh, fuck! Close your eyes, pretty girl.”
You did as you were told and shut your eyes before welcoming Ace’s spent release on your tongue and chest, expecting to return to the ship for ointment and bandages before visiting your mother. But you were pleasantly surprised with the actual sensation. It didn’t burn or hurt like it had before.
Regardless, Ace rushed to kneel down to your eye-level and thumb away all of his traces from your face. “Hey, hey, I didn’t hurt you, did I? You okay? You feel good?”
The truth was, you felt good enough to get him off at least a dozen more times, and after letting him know you were unharmed, Ace was just as enthusiastic about your pleasure. But after your third or fourth shared orgasm, you knew the sun would begin to set soon, and you now had to buy new clothes that weren’t soaked in sex.
“Just one more?” Ace’s voice was heavy with lust, all fucked-out and raspy from the screams of euphoria you subjected him to. Now that he could finish without hurting you, he felt unstoppable.
And as much as you wanted to continue, you pulled away from his tender grip to insist, “Wait until we get back to the ship tonight, okay?” punctuating the statement with a swift kiss to the tip of his nose.
After getting dressed, Ace emptied his pockets a bit to allow room for two of your drawings – the portrait of your father and the one you just completed of him. After tightening his belt, you were off to visit town square to do a bit of shopping.
You received a few gasps and bewildered looks from armed guards and Nobles who read the paper, taken aback by the sudden appearance of the infamous Fire Fist Ace. But you didn’t care. Ace wasn’t an agent of chaos doing Whitebeard’s bidding, leaving death and destruction in his wake. No, today, Ace was yours. And from the way he held your hand as you strolled from shop to shop, you knew he would be yours tomorrow, too.
“I should be back in a few hours,” You said after going through your various grocery bags and mentally checking items off your list.
“You sure you don’t want me to come with you?” Ace pouted, annoyed to spend any time away from you. “I’ll be on my best behavior…?” He tried to draw you in for one last kiss that would definitely turn into another heated make out session.
You pressed a hand between his pecks to meekly push him away, giggling all the while. “Since when have you ever been on your best behavior?”
His nose crinkled in defiance, but he backed off.
“Besides,” You added, “I don’t think you’d like each other.”
You waved goodbye and made your way up the path that led to your mom’s house. From where Ace stood, he could see the mansion your family resided in, and for a moment, he couldn’t imagine giving something like that up. But he remembered the hell you had to endure while staying there and quickly pushed all positive thoughts aside.
Once you made it up the long winding trail to your mother’s home, you struggled to hold the numerous grocery bags spilling from your arms as you knocked.
“Ma?” You called while pounding on the antique wood doors she insisted on having. “Ma, it’s me, I’m home!”
It took an embarrassingly long time for you to try the doorknob, surprised it gave way when you twisted it. You were hit with stale, moldy air as soon as you entered, continuing to call out for your mother. After dropping your things off in the kitchen, you checked the sun room, both guest bedrooms and the parlor before you made it to the primary bedroom.
There, you made out her sleeping form underneath a plethora of blankets, indicating she was still down for her midday nap, showing no signs of waking anytime soon. You sighed and shook your head, wondering how she survived so long without you.
You returned to the kitchen and got to work. There were plenty of chores waiting for you upon your arrival – dirty dishes in the sink, layers of dust covering cookbooks and shelves, not to mention her favorite flowers that still needed to be put in water.
Once you were finished with the general tidying of the space, you started on dinner. The process of chopping onions, grinding meat, and rolling out pasta dough was all too familiar. Savoury aromas filled the air and brought you back to your youth and allowed the realization to finally set in; cooking dinner for your mom in this kitchen would be the last thing you’d ever do for her.
Steam from the pasta water quickly rose to the lofty ceilings and collided with sunbeams as they waltzed through the windows on that late afternoon sun, covering everything in a deep orange hue. Something about the color reminded you of Ace, and you were suddenly longing for his presence. His warm arms surrounding you, his dark hair tickling your cheeks – everything about him.
You hadn’t even been apart for a full day, yet you missed him so deeply.
Maybe you were driven by impatience. Maybe the memories of being in the house had become too much for you. Or perhaps you just wanted to be with Ace again on the Moby Dick, hearts full and bodies pressed together as you sailed off to your next adventure. You weren’t sure why you went to wake your mother from her slumber when you did.
When you re-entered the room, you noticed things you’d missed upon first inspection. Like the moldy air wafting through the house was strongest after opening her door. Or how the space seemed to glitter with wings of fat flies that puttered about.
Carefully, you inched forward, your mind working quickly to come up with rational explanations for what you saw, but failing every time. “Ma?” You squeaked, taking a trembling hand and lifting the sheets that shrouded your mother.
The sharp sound of wood splitting halted your movements – was there an intruder? You transformed using your Devil Fruit abilities as quickly as you could, but you were two steps behind. Armed guards burst into the bedroom and slapped Sea Prism Stone cuffs on your wrists faster than you could react, dragging you away from her as you kicked and screamed.
“Hey!” You protested, squirming in the gloved hands that held you, quickly feeling the effects of the Sea Prism cuffs. “What the fuck are you doing?”
“You are under arrest for the death of Nobleman Ricky Vick’s wife,” the guard that held you bellowed.
You cried as they tugged you from the bedroom, doing everything in your power to catch a glimpse of your mother’s lifeless face. There was so much more you wanted to say to her – to tell her of your adventures, to show her how strong you’ve gotten, to get in one last argument with her. And now, you never would.
The guards took no time in tying a cloth around your mouth, trying to keep your vile language to a minimum while dampening your cries as they lugged you through corridors and alleyways. They moved with a sinister fervor that told you they wanted to keep this quiet. If citizens knew, they would make noise in the street. Noise that would eventually make its way back to the Moby Dick.
You were stripped of your possessions and tossed into a damp corner of a holding cell in a dungeon you weren’t aware existed. Based on your best guess, you were teetering on the edge of town – tucked away, out of sight, and just far enough from the reach of the Whitebeard Pirates.
Once your eyes adjusted to the darkness, you took a look around. The wall next to you held rings of keys along with the red string of Fire Oyster pearls Ace gave you back on Tattooing. The pearls glittered in the late afternoon sun that shone from a small window about ten or fifteen feet above you, and if you managed to get the cuffs off, you could potentially squeeze through the bars as a bunny.
However, that dream was unlikely to say the least. One guard stayed to monitor you as the others stomped off after locking you away. He refused to hold your piercing gaze, unable to speak as the makeshift gag they fashioned for you stopped your lips from meeting.
It felt like hours before a word was uttered in the darkness. The sun had long since been set, the cicadas chirping in the distance let you know it was close to midnight. You faded in and out of consciousness against your will – having no clue how Ace was able to stay so coherent while restrained by Sea Prism Stone.
Ace. If only there was a way to lead him back to you.
That guard sauntered over to the door of your cell, hands shaking as he held a glass of water. “Hey, now…I got somethin’ for you to drink. Are y’thirsty?”
You nodded, furrowing your eyebrows in desperation to seem as helpless as possible.
He kneeled before you after unlocking your cell, gingerly pulling the cloth from your mouth and cooing, “There ya go…” before tipping the glass towards you.
You coughed and panted after a few hearty sips, croaking out, “Thank you,” in a voice so hoarse it surprised you.
“Yeah,” the guard grunted. He had a face you forgot each time you looked away. With features so forgettable, you wondered why he wanted to work for the Marines at all. “You’ve been good, so this’s the least I can do.”
“Please let me go,” you whispered, allowing your eyes to do the heavy lifting when it came to begging him. “You know I didn’t do anything wrong –”
The guard sucked his teeth and brought the half-empty glass of water to his chest. “I can’t do that, now.”
“Why did they put me here? I’m innocent, I’m a citizen, I –” You continued to plead with him, hoping to strike a heart string of some kind, but the guard's eyes only grew colder as you spoke.
He frowned and brought a free hand up to your face, muttering, “I think it’s high time to put this gag back on…”
Without hesitation, you lurched forward and bit his hand, refusing to release him as hot blood spilled into your mouth.
“Shit!” He yelped, trying to back away from you but you held on with every ounce of strength you had left. “You stupid bitch – let go!”
You snarled and clamped down harder, feeling your teeth crunch through the thicker part of his knuckle until his finger snapped off.
The guard fell on his backside, legs refusing to work as he examined his hands, shocked by what he saw.
“You took my fucking finger!” He screamed, using his unbitten hand to sift through the dirt that blanketed the floor, searching for the missing digit.
He finally looked at you, bright, sticky blood covering your chin and chest. Despite the gore and horror, a massive grin was plastered across your cheeks as you held his finger between your teeth.
As best as you could, you maneuvered the blood-soaked extremity to one side of your mouth and spat out, “Talk. Now.”
“Listen, I’m just followin’ orders,” the guard said quickly, tripping over his words while shuffling closer to you. “Akainu said this would be quick and easy — and I wouldn’t have to hurt you if you behaved.”
Your brow furrowed as you thought back to meetings with the Whitebeard Pirates, “Akainu?”
“Yes!” The guard cried, relieved that you’d heard of his commander. “Don’t be mad at me, be mad at Admiral Akainu!”
Regretfully, you spat the finger out towards the guard. He rushed to grab it from the dirt and ran to find a doctor to reattach it. Thankfully, he forgot to tie the cloth around your mouth, leaving you free to shout for help.
“Ace!” You cried. “Ace, help me! I’m here!” You screamed until you coughed, you screamed until you ran out of breath, you screamed until a ball of fire burst through the wall of the cell you were trapped in.
It took a moment for the dust to settle, but Ace stepped out of the rubble, glowing like a knight in shining armor. His chest rose and fell with a heated intensity, like he had been searching for hours on end. When he finally saw you, he all but dropped to his knees.
“There you are,” he sighed, running his hand along the sides of the walls until he found the keys that unlocked your tethers. “I swear, I circled the whole island twice.” He heard the sound of your beads knocking together and stuffed them in his already overcrowded pockets.
Tears pricked your eyes as he tugged you to your feet and held you in his arms, nervous fingers fumbling with keys as he worked to free you. Ace pulled you in for a kiss as color returned to your skin and strength returned to your limbs once the cuffs clattered to the ground.
After a few moments, he pulled away, wiping his frowning mouth as he spat, “Are you bleeding? Did they hurt you? I swear, I’ll –”
“No, it’s okay,” you eased, “I just bit some guy’s finger off.”
Ace smiled with pride and patted your head, “That’s my girl.”
He took you by the hand and led you away from the hold and in the direction of the docks, but you stopped him, saying you needed to go somewhere first.
As you rushed through the empty streets in the cover of night, you passed more than a few members of the crew. Almost everyone was on the island looking for you. You and Ace told everyone you found to return to the ship and that you’d join them as soon as possible, but Marco demanded more of a detailed answer from you.
“Where the hell have you been?” He lowered his voice, but ferocity still burned behind his teeth. “We’ve been worried sick – is that blood?”
“I’m fine,” you insisted. “Just get everyone back to the ship. I gotta stop by my parents house before we leave.”
“I’m going, too,” Ace added, hand glued to yours as he spoke.
Marco rolled his eyes, but nodded his head in agreement, “Keep each other safe, and be fast. No telling what’ll happen if we stay here too long.”
You and Ace wasted no time in sprinting up the hill to your mother’s mansion, surprised to find the front door replaced after it had been knocked from its hinges only hours ago. The house was dark, save for one room on the second floor, the room that famously housed your step-father's office.
Despite Ace being present and the door most likely being unlocked, you kicked it down yourself in one swift movement after activating your Devil Fruit abilities. Once the fractured door hit the ground, picture frames and trinkets came down with it, causing the sound of broken glass to echo through the walls of the empty house.
“I knew you’d be back,” a small voice belonging to an even smaller man chirped from behind a tall office chair. “The killer always returns to the scene of the crime.”
Ace watched as the man turned in the chair, revealing himself at long last. He sat several inches shorter than what was recommended for a seat that size with a smug grin on his face, looking like he’d just been declared the victor of a game. Ace couldn’t help but think the man looked extremely unimpressive and bland – like if he shook his hand, it would be covered in expensive lotion and cologne.
“Shut up,” you spat without missing a beat. “Tell me what happened to my mother, you sick bastard.”
The man’s brow furrowed in faux sympathy, “Come now, I haven’t seen you in years and this is how you speak to your father?”
“Step-father,” you corrected, making things click in Ace’s head. “Don’t you dare compare yourself to him.” You took long strides towards him until you towered over his petite frame swallowed by the massive chair. “Answer my question, bitch.”
Ace gulped. He’d never seen you so angry before and decided to take the back seat on this interrogation. But something in the back of his mind told him that if he asked nicely, you would use that tone with him in the future.
Your step-father sighed before admitting, “I could tell you about how your worthless mother got sick…” He glanced down to his freshly manicured nails and continued, “From a young age, I was taught to rid myself of things that no longer served me, after all.”
“How’d you do it, huh?” You asked, voice growing more bitter by the second. “You take her out back and shoot her like a horse? Or did you get one of your cronies to do it for you?”
“Does it really matter? All I know is you and your companions are marooned here in the thick of the Spice Cloud with the Marines hot on your tail.”
Blood rushed from Ace’s face. This – bringing you back to this island, making the crew jump through hoops in order to obtain supplies, kidnapping you, and leading the Whitebeard Pirates on a wild goose chase was all a part of an elaborate plan formulated by the government. And he was only seeing it now.
You needed to get out of there.
Just at that moment, Ace looked out of the window and saw shaking lights and sirens approaching, indicating the Marines had already discovered your location.
“Hey,” Ace warned, “we should get going…” As he turned to face you and your step-father again, he caught you in mid-transformation. Your legs grew into massive heaps of muscle before you jumped and kicked the Nobleman’s head off of his shoulders.
You stood in silence for only a moment to watch the severed head roll across the floor before taking Ace’s hand and saying, “Let’s get moving, yeah?”
Together, you fled the house, leaving Ricky Vick’s lifeless body on the floor above your mothers. The Marines entered the home mere minutes after you and Ace escaped down the hill, making your way back to the Moby Dick.
Ace grabbed your waist and hoisted you over the side of the ship, only to be met with a few of the Division Commanders and Whitebeard himself.
“Sorry we’re late,” Ace apologized, out of breath from all the running and hiking he’d done. “But we gotta go – now. The Marines are right on our asses.”
“It’s too late,” Whitebeard said solemnly, gazing out into the thick green haze that shrouded the entire ship. “Spice Cloud’s too thick and the waters are too rough. They’ve got us cornered.”
Your heart sank. This was all your fault. If the Pirates hadn’t risked their lives to bring you here, they all might live to see another day. If only the Spice Cloud hadn’t rolled in while you were taken captive, they would have been able to leave.
“We’ll have to fight them, then,” Ace grunted, rolling his shoulders back in preparation to set himself on fire.
But still, there was another way.
“I can clear a path for you,” You said, hand raised in the air so your proclamation wouldn’t go unnoticed. “I can get you guys out of here.”
Though you appeared strong, Ace heard your voice break at the end of your statement. Only he knew what you had in mind.
“No, no, no, no, no,” Ace mumbled, taking your shoulders in his massive hands and willing his voice not to shake. “Listen, just go below deck and we’ll handle them like we always do.”
You blinked back tears and brought your hands up to cup Ace’s cheeks, “You heard what he said, Ace…” Despite your best efforts, tears started rolling down your face. “They’ve been planning this for a while – and Akainu is ruthless.”
“No!” Ace cried, pulling you into a tight hold. “We’ll find another way. I won’t let them take you away from me.”
“Ace…” Marco soothed, placing a hand on his shoulder to ground him while simultaneously preparing to rip him from your arms. “Let her go.”
Ace only held you tighter, so tight, his arms started to shake. “Please…don’t leave me.” His hot tears hit your shoulders as you pried yourself from his bruising grip.
Your lower lip trembled, but you held your head high. “I love you, Ace.” You turned away from him and towards the rest of the crew and did your best to not break down when meeting their teary eyes. “Thank you – all of you for saving me. I’ll never forget you.” You swallowed the lump steadily growing in your throat before adding, “Leave as soon as you see the light. I’ll keep it burning as long as I can.”
Ace continued to cry out to you, but was held back by Marco and Thatch.
You turned to Whitebeard. At first glance, his face was unreadable and stoic – exactly how a Captain’s should be in the face of danger. But you’d grown to know him well in these past few weeks, and you knew the frown on his face was genuine as his eyes glistened like everyone else’s.
“Captain,” you saluted, “it’s been an honor.”
Whitebeard kneeled and placed a giant hand on your shoulder. His touch was all-encompassing as he hummed, “Godspeed, little one.”
You leapt from the ship and made a mad dash to your great-grandfather’s abandoned light house after transforming, hearing Ace spit tears as he called out your name.
It was more than difficult to find a decently sized rock to power the lighthouse during the day. But at night, with tears clouding your vision, it was even harder. You clawed at the ground surrounding the dilapidated building, hoping to uncover a limestone big enough to allow your comrades to escape.
You dug until your fingers bled. And sure enough, just beneath the surface, two large stones glowed in the light of the moon.
It didn’t take long for the crew to notice the blinding light from the lighthouse, blasting through the thick of the Spice Cloud and illuminating a path for their departure. And as they rode along the rocky waves, Ace cried until his head hurt. His heart felt empty even when different members of the crew – his brothers – tried to comfort him in any way they knew how. Ace only stood in silence as he watched Spiceland get further from view.
Ace never saw you again.

Thirty long minutes have passed since Sukuna pelted snow in your face. You’ve been sitting in the passenger seat beside him, arms crossed over your chest and shooting down every idea on where to go that he suggests. You know you’re being difficult, and feel Sukuna’s patience wearing thin the longer you make him sit outside the art gallery.
“Do you just want me to drop you off–”
“No,” You cut off Sukuna with a harsh tone, refusing to meet his gaze. He exhales deeply, rubbing his hands over his face in frustration. “Is there a problem?”
Sukuna is silent for a moment, but his gaze nearly burns from where his eyes are glued to yours. “You’re being a brat,” He grumbles, voice laced in annoyance.
“Yeah, well, I think I’ve earned the right to be a little mad when you hit me in the face with a snowball,” You roll your eyes dramatically, shifting your body away from Sukuna before muttering, “Asshole.”
A low rumble of laughter from beside you forces you to spare a glance in Sukuna’s direction. And fuck, do you immediately regret doing it. It’s been a while since your… reunion while you were on the clock. Long enough for you to have forgotten that look of heated arousal seeping from Sukuna’s half lidded eyes that he’s wearing once again.
“Come ‘ere,” Sukuna chuckles, lazily beckoning for you to come closer with a hand that rests on the steering wheel. It feels like your body moves on its own – one second you’re mad, the next you’ve cleared the center console and are straddling Sukuna’s lap. “You could’ve told me this is what you wanted, Angel...” His lust heavy voice swims through your ears as he begins to peel your layers off one by one.
You aren’t sure if the shudder that runs through your body is from being dressed in nothing but your bra and thong, or from the way Sukuna traces up your spine with a heavy hand. His eyes blink lazily up at you as he begins pressing kisses from your navel to your neck, further enchanting you into bending whichever way he pleases.
Desperate for a taste of his mouth, you sink lower into his lap in hopes of a better angle to finally be able to meet his lips. With a cruel chuckle, he dodges your attempts to kiss him. “Sukuna,” You whine, “Don’t you want to kiss me?”
His canines glow in the dim lighting as the hand on your back traces down to the swell of your ass, “Brats don’t deserve to be kissed.” The smile on his face grows, watching your features struggle to remain disappointed when his hands knead the flesh in his hands.
“But I–”
“Turn around,” Sukuna commands, “You don’t get to watch.”
Just as you begin to argue again, Sukuna delivers a hard smack across your ass. The stinging feeling rushing right to your core. A pathetic whine escapes your lips, feeling humiliated by how much Sukuna’s affecting you. There’s no use, with the evidence soon to be presented right in front of his face as Sukuna maneuvers your legs to straddle him all while shifting the car seat as far back as it goes.
The new angle has you gripping the steering wheel in front of you for leverage, calves clinging onto the fraction of the car seat Sukuna’s thighs don’t take up. His hands knead the soft flesh of your ass, chuckling when he notices the obvious soaked fabric between your legs.
Your front collapses over the leather of the steering wheel when he traces two thick fingers from your soaked core to your clit, the action making you see stars.
“F-fuck,” You stammer, eyes drifting close as Sukuna rips the fabric of your panties aside.
A hiss escapes Sukuna’s lips as he drinks up your glistening folds, “Oh, Angel…” he exhales deeply, coating his fingers in your arousal before thrusting them deep inside you. “Look at you, haven’t even done anythin’ yet and you’re so fuckin’ wet.” The way his words slur gives away that he’s just as turned on as you are – that and the hard-on throbbing against your thigh.
It’s useless, every time you open your mouth to say something smart, the only thing that comes out are broken cries of pleasure. Your whole body trembles above Sukuna as his fingers pump in and out of you with skilled precision, hitting the soft spot that makes your head spin with every thrust. “God, S-Sukuna, fuck me already,” You babble, blindly reaching behind you to push his hand away. “I’m close – wanna come on your cock.”
Sukuna grunts, fingers leaving your throbbing cunt in a swift motion. Before you can process what’s happened, his slick coated fingers are pressed against your lips. “Open,” he growls. All too eagerly, you let him feed you your own arousal, taking your time to flick your tongue over every crevice of his hand. “So obedient.” He praises, withdrawing his fingers and planting a tender kiss to your back. The action has you clench around emptiness, sending a needy whine up from your chest.
“Sukuna, I–” The warmth of his lips against your back nearly brings tears to your eyes, reminding you of how badly you wish to taste him, to gift him the air in your lungs.
“I know,” Sukuna mutters around another kiss to your spine. The car seat reclines slightly as Sukuna pulls you farther up his lap. His hands guide your hips back until you feel the head of his cock pressing against your entrance. “I’ll take care of you,” His voice is so quiet through the ringing in your ears as you ease down on his length, releasing a string of whines from your chest at the blissful stretch. He lets you take your time as you slowly take more of him, the uncomfortable angle making it harder to relax around him.
“Ah, ‘s too much…” You whine, dropping your head to see just how much of him you’ve actually taken. Just as you catch a glimpse of your cunt fluttering around Sukuna’s cock, he rips your vision up towards the ceiling, fingers curled into the hair on the back of your head.
“What’d I say?” He grunts, fisting your hair between his fingers.
Your eyes flutter shut at the feeling, a rush of arousal seeping from your plugged cunt. “Can’t watch,” you sputter, involuntarily rocking your hips.
“So you can listen,” Sukuna laughs against the shell of your ear, hand leaving your hair to cup your covered breast. “You can do it, Angel. Sit on my cock for me, yeah?”
His tongue licks the edge of your ear, breath hot against your skin as his fingers tease your pert nipples over the fabric of your bra. “F-fuck,” You whine, whole body jolting in waves of pleasure as you move your hips, determined to take all of him in spite of your body telling you it cant.
“Just a little more,” The hand guiding your hips leaves it home to join the other, both sets of fingers alternating pinching and flicking your sensitive buds. “Feels good, huh?”
“Y-yes, yes, yes,” You chant, finally feeling Sukuna’s slick soaked balls beneath you as tears begin to prick your eyes from the overwhelming sensation of being full of him. In your blissed out delusion, you don't register the sound of your voice spewing incoherent thoughts as you fuck yourself on his length.
Sukuna’s hand travels from your breast to your lower abdomen, cock twitching inside of you at the feeling of your skin bulging with each downward movement.
“Fuck,” Sukuna grunts, eyes glued to where your cunt swallows him, feeling himself teetering on the edge far too soon from the sight itself. He peels one of your hands from where it grips the steering wheel, bringing your palm to your stomach. “D’ya feel me here, Angel?”
All you can do is nod feverishly, quickening your movements in desperation of chasing your approaching climax. “More,” You hiss through gritted teeth, craving the feeling of being utterly destroyed by him.
Not needing any more encouragement than that, Sukuna’s hips snap up to meet yours. His hands settle on your hips with a bruising grip, pulling you down to meet each thrust, the sound of your skin slapping together is enough to send you further into the pit of desire. The rhythm you’ve found is euphoric, each thrust bringing you closer to your orgasm, but there’s just one thing missing.
Behind eyes drawn shut in pleasure, you imagine what Sukuna must look like. Eyebrows furrowed in concentration, breaths uneven as they escape his chest, rubies staring back at you so intently as they always do. You want to see him falling apart beneath you, no you need it.
“S-sukuna,” Forcing your eyes open, you turn your gaze over your shoulder. You were right about everything, down to the way he’s looking at you like he was waiting for you to meet his lust-drunk gaze. “Need you.”
What you didn’t expect was for Sukuna’s cheeks to burn red at your words, hips stuttering beneath you as his eyes stay locked with yours. “Tenshi,” he mutters into your shoulder, his lips pressing a soft kiss where they rest. Your heart races at the sensation, feeling like it may explode in your chest. He peers up at you through his thick lashes with a look you could almost confuse with adoration, before something almost feral overtakes his eyes.
“Ah!” You shriek, your bodies jolting backwards as Sukuna reclines the seat back as far as it goes. In the jostle of movement, his cock slides out of you, leaving your cunt grasping at nothing.
“Look at me,” Sukuna growls, twisting your body around to grant you the best view of his fucked out expression. Your hands fly to his pecs to support yourself, nails digging into the fabric covering his chest as he thrusts his hot length into you in a swift motion. “Say it again.” His voice shrouded in arousal, intense gaze locked on your glazed over eyes.
Sweat trickles down your chest, pupils blown wide in excitement as you grind your hips to meet his. He feels so good, you don’t even care about the armrest digging into your soon to be bruised thigh. Without haltering your movements, you cup his jaw with your hand as you breathe out the words, “I need you, Ryomen.”
You can’t help the smile that cracks your face as you feel his jaw clench in your grasp, adam’s apple bobbing as he swallows. “Again.” His voice coarse as he speaks, bouncing you in his lap with each snap of his hips.
“God, Ryomen, I need – ah!” Your entire body lights up, overwhelmed with pleasure the second Sukuna’s thumb swipes over your clit in delicious circles. “Fuck, don’t stop, please, I-I,” A sheen of sweat coats your entire body, legs trembling as Sukuna pushes you right along the edge.
Just a ring of red meets your gaze as he pulls you closer, so close you can feel the warmth of his breath on your skin. “Come apart for me,” he grunts, tucking a piece of hair behind your ear as he continues his brutal pace from beneath you.
“R-ryo–” Your eyes roll to the back of your head, body convulsing in pleasure the moment your orgasm rushes through you. You chant Sukuna’s name over and over as he fucks you through the peak of your climax.
The moment your ears stop ringing and your vision returns, you catch the moment Sukuna begins to pull out. You claw at his arm, hips stuttering back to find him in a desperate attempt to keep him close. “Still a brat I see,” He chuckles, pulling out of your fluttering cunt despite your best effort.
“Please,” You pout, gaze shifting between your sweat coated bodies, watching Sukuna’s fist work his leaking cock. “Don’t I feel better than your fist?”
Sukuna grunts, eyes fluttering shut as his hips involuntarily snap up. “Shut up. You’re not helping.”
Pitying the disgruntled look on his face, you force your heavy body up off his lap and into the passenger seat. Your ass high in the air as you bend your upper body over the center console back into his lap. “Want it here,” you purr, blinking up at him innocently through your lashes as you sink your face closer to his throbbing cock. Your lips part, tongue poking out for a taste of the pre cum dribbling down towards his pumping fist.
“Heathen,” Sukuna huffs, throwing his head back with a broken groan as he finishes on your tongue. Taking the opportunity to catch him off guard mid orgasm, you move closer, replacing his hand with your own before taking him into your mouth. Your tongue swirls around the pulsing head of his cock enthusiastically, in an effort to hear him make a noise you hadn’t been able to forget. “Sh-shit,” Sukuna moans, his hand threading into your hair as his hips jerk up to meet your warmth.
You sink lower and lower, watching in amazement how his body reacts to your mouth. Through heavy eyelids, you watch the muscles of his thighs tense beneath your hands, eyebrows twitching as they’re drawn together. Your favorite of all is the way he simply cannot resist making the most lewd noises you’ve ever heard. A choked out groan escapes his lips as a second wave of release rushes over him, hot cum shooting down your throat as you hum around him in satisfaction.
As if his soul came back into his body, the fingers in your hair tighten, hissing as he pulls you off his cock. Your chests rise ruggedly in unison, struggling to get relief from the hot air trapped in the car.
“You’re loud,” You deadpan, shooting an innocent smile up at Sukuna from where your head lays in his lap.
His cheeks quickly flush a shade of pink dark enough for you to see in the dim lighting. It’s cute. “Am not.” Sukuna grunts, shoving your head off his lap as he lifts his hips up to pull his boxers and pants back on.
“You’re right. It only happens when I do this,” In a swift motion you lick up the exposed part of his shaft that hasn’t been tucked away yet, only to be yanked away by your hair a split second later.
“F-fuck,” Sukuna throws his head back, squeezing his eyes shut as waves of oversensitivity crash into him. “You’re fucking evil.” A single ring of red peers down at you with a mixture of annoyance and something you’re too scared to put a name on.
You nod into the fist full of your hair, shooting him a wicked smile. “That’s why you like me.”
Sukuna scoffs, yet he drags the rest of your body back over into the driver's seat to lay on top of him. Without another word he gives you what you’ve been dying for, pulling you in for a bruising kiss. Your heart lurches in your chest as your lips glide against each others lazily.
You’d yet to experience a kiss so intimate that didn't insinuate wanting more. Right now, the only thing you can feel coursing through your veins is a longing to be close. You could die like this – drowning in Sukuna’s taste, exchanging the same breath over and over so you never have to be apart, feeling his heart beat match yours.
