.: Dahlia :. ✨ . Currently charmed by these absolutely gorgeous creatures, I couldn’t help but keep drawing them. One could never imagine how wonderful it can be to get lost in the details of such intricate flower. Actually, in the book that I just finished reading, I found a way of meditation that consists in focusing all of your attention to the center of a rose for few minutes, now try that same meditation with these beauties instead of roses… Simply amazing! And now you can better understand where my fascination of drawing flowers comes from. I would totally encourage you to do the same, not even thinking about drawing the flowers, but just appreciating the lovely details of each, you’ll see that there’s a great way of meditation and my favorite nowadays! This one is really special to me, because even though I’m not Russian and I don’t even have a slight trace of blood that relates me to that beautiful country whatsoever, there’s a history with the women of my family running along with this cute element that’s now a symbol for us. .: Foliage :. ✨ . I’m about to close my recycled paper and reused gold project so I wanted to include some foliage! I probably say this very often, but foliage is one of the most important elements to create a beautiful composition when drawing flowers, so I love to add some herbs here and there. When planning or sketching my drawings I always think of the right leaves and shapes that would make my flower pop. The foliage gives such a dramatic contrast and impact to the composition that I could never ignore it. So the next time you draw a bouquet or even a single flower, remember my words and have fun drawing some leaves, you’ll notice the difference! . I hope you have a good day! Much love. 💕 . . . . The Orchidaceae have about 28,000 currently accepted species, distributed in about 763 genera. I’ve always found orchids fascinating! That’s why I had to include them in my last collection. .: Rose :. 🌹 . Ever since I was sketching this flower, I knew I wanted it to be big and luscious, with dramatic foliage and rounded petals... I wasn’t very fond of drawing roses, I must confess. Most of my previous attempts haven’t gone the way I wanted them to, so I don’t have that many roses in my feed for the same reason, but for this collection I just knew I had to draw one. Turns out, taking the challenge again was totally worth it and even though it’s not perfect, I think that little by little I’ll get better at it, so you’ll probably be seeing more roses around. Maybe sometimes it’s good to just let go for a bit those challenges and do anything else, gain experience and confidence to retry and then make things work, don’t you think? Much love. ✨ . . . . Desde que estaba bocetando esta flor, sabía que quería que fuera grande y exuberante, con follaje dramático y pétalos redondeados... No me gustaba mucho dibujar rosas, debo confesar. La mayoría de mis intentos anteriores no han salido como yo hubiera querido, así que no tengo tantas rosas en mi perfil por la misma razón, pero para esta colección sólo sabía que tenía que dibujar una. Resulta que aceptar el desafío de nuevo valió la pena y aunque no es perfecto, creo que poco a poco iré mejorando, así que probablemente verán más rosas por aquí. Quizás a veces es bueno dejar ir un poco esos desafíos y hacer cualquier otra cosa, ganar experiencia y confianza para volver a intentarlo y luego hacer que las cosas funcionen, ¿no creen? ¿Les ha pasado? .
