.: Dahlia :. ✨ . Currently charmed by these absolutely gorgeous creatures, I couldn’t help but keep drawing them. One could never imagine how wonderful it can be to get lost in the details of such intricate flower. Actually, in the book that I just finished reading, I found a way of meditation that consists in focusing all of your attention to the center of a rose for few minutes, now try that same meditation with these beauties instead of roses… Simply amazing! And now you can better understand where my fascination of drawing flowers comes from. I would totally encourage you to do the same, not even thinking about drawing the flowers, but just appreciating the lovely details of each, you’ll see that there’s a great way of meditation and my favorite nowadays! .: Matryoshka :. 🪆💕 . I’m sure you’re familiar with this traditional Russian dolls, you know, the set of wooden dolls of decreasing size placed one inside another. This one is really special to me, because even though I’m not Russian and I don’t even have a slight trace of blood that relates me to that beautiful country whatsoever, there’s a history with the women of my family running along with this cute element that’s now a symbol for us. .: Foliage :. ✨ . I’m about to close my recycled paper and reused gold project so I wanted to include some foliage! I probably say this very often, but foliage is one of the most important elements to create a beautiful composition when drawing flowers, so I love to add some herbs here and there. When planning or sketching my drawings I always think of the right leaves and shapes that would make my flower pop. The foliage gives such a dramatic contrast and impact to the composition that I could never ignore it. So the next time you draw a bouquet or even a single flower, remember my words and have fun drawing some leaves, you’ll notice the difference! . I hope you have a good day! Much love. 💕 . . . . Estoy a punto de cerrar mi proyecto de papel reciclado y pintura color oro reutilizada, ¡así que quise incluir algo de follaje! Probablemente digo esto muy a menudo, pero el follaje es uno de los elementos más importantes para crear una hermosa composición al dibujar flores, por eso me encanta agregar algunas hierbas aquí y allá. Al planear o bocetar mis dibujos siempre pienso en las hojas y formas correctas que harán que mi flor resalte. El follaje da un contraste y un impacto tan dramático a la composición que nunca podría ignorarlo.
