Rani came from the frozen North carrying little more than a healer's knowledge, the traditions of a forgotten homeland, and a loneliness she had long mistaken for strength.
Shin-ah, the Blue Dragon, had spent his life hidden behind a mask, feared long before anyone cared to know the gentle soul beneath it.
When their paths cross, neither of them expects to find comfort in the other's silence. Yet with every mile they travel beside Yona through Kouka, quiet gestures become trust, trust becomes devotion, and something neither of them dares to name slowly takes root. But the past is never as distant as it seems. Old gods still cast long shadows, blood remembers blood, and some bonds can only be forged through loss.
In the end, the hardest battle may not be against the enemies waiting aheadâbut against the fear of letting another person stand close enough to never lose them again.

Falling Again Next Chapter>>
The touch of his fingertips on her bare back pulled Sakura out of half-sleep.
It was early. Too early, judging by the first blade of light slipping through the curtain. In the deserts of Suna, morning woke long before what she knew from Konoha.
Her body still felt heavy. She sighed softly as his fingers reached her nape. His breath was warm, his body familiar, close enough that she could feel his heartbeat.
âAre you awake?â His voice was rough, close to her ear. A question that needed no answer.
âMm.â Nothing more came. She closed her eyes and let the silence between them work. His lips found her throat, and a quiet shiver ran down her back. Gooseflesh spread along her arms, not from cold.
Gaara was an attentive lover. Quiet, controlled, with an intensity that sometimes unbalanced her. She pressed closer as his hands explored her skin, slow, deliberate. Almost obsessive.
Her fingers found his neck, slid into his hair, while his hand moved over her breast and her belly. Then lower.
His movements were precise, deliberate. Every gentle circle of his fingers stoked the heat building in her. A sound slipped from her lips, soft, unguarded.
She knew she was tugging his hair too hard, yet he didnât react. Or perhaps he did, in his way. Silent. Steady.
As always, he took his time. Held her in the tension, left her building want unanswered.
âGaaraâŚâ His name left her mouth more felt than spoken.
His breath hitched. Only for a moment. Then he moved again, calm, unhurried. His hand stayed on her skin as if he were reading her, not demanding her.
Sakura swallowed. He knew what he was doing, how to bring her to the edge before stepping back, just far enough to leave her waiting there.
âYouâre infuriating,â she murmured, barely audible.
He was quiet for a beat, then she felt his smile, fleeting, against her neck.
âAnd youâre impatient.â
His voice was as even as his touch. But she knew him well enough by now to sense what lay beneath, that deep, contained desire that waited inside him.
Gaara wasnât cold. Never cold. No matter what others saw.
He was disciplined. A difference that showed in moments like this, when restraint pressed against what he truly wanted.
Sakura turned her head slightly, searching his gaze even though she couldnât quite see him.
âYouâre toying with me.â
âNo.â
His voice stayed gentle.
His hand drifted up her back, tracing familiar lines until it settled at her nape.
âIâm just holding you.â
She closed her eyes.
Not because of the touch but because of what she felt beneath it.
This closeness was dangerous. Not because of heat. Not because of his body.
Because of the silence.
Because of the depth.
Because he held her as if heâd forgotten she didnât belong here.
As if she werenât someone welcome in political alliances only so long as she was useful.
She turned to him, found his mouth. The kiss was soft but insistent, a silent admission.
Gaara answered at once. Drew her to him, covered her, settled between her thighs as if he had waited for this a long time.
And still, nothing about it felt assumed.
His hands on her skin were careful. Almost reverent.
He said nothing. But his silence was clear, louder than any word.
Sakura felt it.
In the way he held her.
How he paused when she trembled.
How he watched every small shift in her, as if she might break in the quiet.
Sometimes she believed it meant more to him.
Maybe.
But she didnât know.
Couldnât know.
And that was what moved her, not desire, but uncertainty. The questions. The not-understanding.
Because she understood politics.
Not from lectures, from experience.
Tsunade. Kakashi.
They had never explained things directly, but she had learned to read between the lines. Looks. Gestures. Silence.
The game beneath the surface.
Gaara was Kazekage.
A man whose decisions were never only his own.
And she was⌠not from Suna. No clan.
Just the talented medic from Konoha.
Good enough to be needed.
Never enough to be welcome.
He moved inside her, slow, deep, with a steadiness she could hardly endure.
He was present. Entirely.
But she was already somewhere else,
thinking of the day someone on his council would throw the first stone.
A flicker of panic rose.
She needed control.
Something that belonged to her, to her alone.
With a sudden motion she pushed him off, rolled over him, and sat astride.
Her hands on his chest. Her breath uneven.
He let it happen. Looked at her without surprise.
There was openness in his gaze. And something she couldnât name.
Which only made it worse.
She moved against him, faster, more urgent. Not for what was, but for what she wanted to push away.
Not out of lust.
Not out of security.
But from the wish to be wrong. That this time would be different.
That she wouldnât lose herself too quickly, too deeply, too blindly.
Like with Sasuke.
Like always.
Then she looked at him.
Truly looked.
His face was unguarded. His lips parted. His eyes fixed entirely on her.
His hands at her hips, not leading. Just there.
With her.
It was⌠tender.
Almost yielding.
And for a moment she thought she saw something in it.
Maybe he was in love.
Maybe.
But he had never said so. And she wouldnât ask.
Because the answer could change everything.
Instead she rode the moment on.
Slower now. Calmer.
As if she had already accepted the terms of her surrender.
He held her gaze.
Let her be.
Said nothing.
And she wondered whether it was possible to love without losing.
Her movements grew deeper, more rhythmic. She felt everything coil inside her, not suddenly, but like a tide that could no longer be stopped.
Gaara moved with her beneath, not faster, but surer. His grip at her hips tightened, as if he finally allowed what he had kept in check all along.
Sakura was close. She could feel it, the tremor in her thighs, the burn low in her belly, the prickling under her skin drawing tighter and tighter. Her breath grew shallow, quick. She closed her eyes, let her head tip back, tried to focus only on the moment. Only on him. On what lived between them.
And then it was there.
It crashed over her in a wave, warm, insistent, overwhelming. Her body seized, clinging to what she couldnât release. A sound escaped her, quiet, unguarded. Her nails bit into his shoulders and for a heartbeat there was only this: heat, closeness, release, the fall.
As she opened, as she burned through it, she felt him go taut beneath her. Gaara drew a sharp breath, his gaze unfocused, his hands clenching at her hips. No words, only a deep, suppressed sound from his chest, rough and real. His body tightened under her, and she felt him follow, deep, firm, holding on to her as if he, too, let go for a moment.
In that instant, with both of them locked at the crest, bodies shaking, breath lost to the shimmering air, she kissed him again.
Slow. Desperate. Afraid.
I should never have taken the mission, she thought.
Not because it was wrong to be here.
Not because she didnât want it.
But because she knew, exactly in that moment, that she was losing whatever still separated her from reason.
She was past the point of lying to herself.
She had fallen. Again. Deeper than ever.
And she knew, it would hurt.

A Name in the Dark Next Chapter>>
Near the mountains of the Fire Tribe, an icy wind carried its whisper through the trees and brushed across my heated skin. Autumn was on its way, I could smell it in the sharpness of the air, see it in the leaves surrendering their lush green for pale yellow and brittle red. It draped an extra veil of desolation and solitude over this place. Perhaps that was why I liked it.
Aside from the strange villagers who dwelled in the caves, few people ever strayed here.
A fitting refuge for someone like me, a stranger whose presence in the cities stood out like the gaudy plumage of a bird of paradise. My face belonged to none of the familiar patterns: neither a woman of Xing, nor one of Sei. And my accent betrayed no roots in the Kai Empire.
Only once had I met someone who recognized where I came from. An old trader from Saika, whose weary eyes lit suddenly when they met mine, gray against gray.
âA Northerner,â his rough voice had whispered in surprise, as he tried to catch a glimpse of the pale hair beneath my hood.
I had smiled, pulled the cape lower across my face, and lied: âYou are mistaken, sir.â
That had been my first â and last â visit to the capital of the Fire Tribe. Since then I had avoided the great cities, settling here at the forestâs edge.
I sighed, lifting my gaze to the sun hanging low, its light spilling across the horizon like molten copper. Then I turned back to the stone hearth I had labored over for hours. My hands throbbed beneath the crust of clay I had used to seal the final cracks. It was no beauty, and no one would praise its craftsmanship, but it would serve its purpose.
That familiar prickling sensation of eyes on my back stirred again. By now I knew it well, like an unseen thread brushing against my skin. The gaze was cautious, perhaps mistrustful, often curious, never threatening. My people believed in the guardians of the forests, mystical beings, old gods, and that faith had long been woven into our customs. If the guardian of these mountains chose to grant me his attention, I accepted it. It was one of the things I had grown used to.
Then, footsteps behind me. Quick, light, stumbling over roots and stone with the impatience of youth. The dry crack of branches mixed with the dull scatter of loose rocks.
A woman⌠no, perhaps just a girl.
My hand stayed away from the dagger tied at my side. Instead I turned slowly, casting a glance over my shoulder.
She hurried toward me, her face hidden behind one of those rough, unsightly masks so many villagers wore, a custom I had yet to understand.
She stopped a few steps away and bowed hastily.
âHealer, I need your help!â
Word of my skills had spread quickly. With this child, three cave-dwellers had already come to my door today. All because of a foolish youth who weeks ago had misjudged the steepness of the slope and ended up bleeding across my wooden terrace.
âIâve brought something to trade.â
She lifted a small sack that rustled in the fading light, rice, perhaps. The villagers had begun paying me in food or furs, a quiet and welcome arrangement. It spared me the weary march down to the trade routes.
I bent, dipping my hands into the water bucket at my feet, feeling the cold rush between my fingers as it washed the clay away. With the cloth draped loosely across my shoulder, I dried them.
âCome,â I told her, motioning toward my low veranda as I slid the door aside.
The girl raised her head, eyes darting curiously to mine before slipping past me into the house. Her expression was the same they all wore upon their first visit, mute wonder, tinged with unease.
I had built the hut in the style of my homeland. The delicate architecture of Kouka baffled me, how could thin walls hope to withstand wind, rain, or snow?
Compared with the fine houses of the cities, my dwelling looked rough, almost unshaped. In the center stood a metal basin where coals glowed on cold nights. Furs covered wall and floor, and bundles of herbs hung from the ceiling, filling the air with their dry, sharp fragrance. Only the veranda and sliding door bore traces of local craft.
âHow can I help you?â I asked, lowering myself onto the floor. My eyes flicked toward her mask, as always when speaking with these people, that grotesque piece of craft unsettled me, hiding away their facesâŚ
The young woman sat opposite, slid the sack across in silence, and clasped her hands tightly in her lap.
âI think I may be with child⌠but Iâm not certain. I lost my last one in the third moon cycle.â
âHow old are you?â
She hesitated, clearly thrown by the question. âIâll be fifteen this winter.â
Far too young, I thought, reaching for a blanket. As I handed it to her and rose, memories of others like her pushed their way into my mind, all treading the same path: promised early, wed too soon, duty planted in their wombs, a command to produce heirs. Too often they lost their children. Too often they themselves were lost.
âLie back. Blanket over your legs. Raise your dress high enough that I can feel your belly.â
She obeyed without a word. I opened a vial of one of my favored oils, warm, spiced, the scent curling upward as it gathered heat in my palms and cleansed the skin. Kneeling beside her, I drew the blanket aside and slipped my fingertips beneath the fabric. She flinched softly as my touch found her.
âWhen did you lose the child?â
âThis summer,â she murmured, twisting the fabric of her dress until it wrinkled beneath her fingers.
I pressed gently across her abdomen, feeling, shifting, searching.
âDid you bleed afterward?â
âYes, for two days⌠and I was sick.â
A good sign, the right sign. Her body had cleansed itself, left nothing behind to poison her blood.
The examination stretched on. I asked her to remove the mask, pressed two fingers to her wrist, her pulse strong, steady beneath my touch. Her eyes clear, her skin calm. Finally I laid my palm against her lower belly.
Beneath my hand pulsed a steady rhythm, warm, persistent, alive.
The girl drew in a breath, eyelids falling shut as she whispered, trembling, âIs that⌠normal? I can feel it inside me!â
A flush bloomed across her cheeks, joy, sudden and undeniable. I let her linger in it for a moment before I withdrew my hand.
âYou are well. And so is your child.â
I turned to the shelves, hearing behind me the faint rustle of her dress.
âCould I lose it again?â
âYes,â I answered plainly, spreading a strip of linen and layering crushed herbs across its surface. âBut the chance is smaller now. Iâll give you a mixture, steep it once every seven days, and drink the tea only once it has cooled.â
She bowed deeply in thanks and left me. I watched her until she slipped into the trees. If the stars were kind, she would bring forth a child in spring, and learn what it meant to be a mother.
My gaze drifted upward to a sky growing darker by the breath. The hearth could wait until morning. Night pressed fast upon the land, and I had to ready my home.
The old rhythm carried me, stacking wood in the firepit, replacing the spent candles, checking the water stores. With the last pale trace of daylight, I shut the lone window-shutter. Under the glow of the flames I set to my herbs, the careful pounding, the fragrant dust rising, the work precise though wearisome, yet still dear to me. The hours ebbed with the rhythm of the mortar, and the crackle of fire outside my door.
When my back ached from sitting, I straightened, tended the flames, and rose. The night air grew colder with each breath, after sealing the paste, I decided, I would bring in the coals.
I was arranging them in the iron basin when I froze.
From the black of the forest came the sharp, solitary cry of an owl, a sound that split the silence clean.
Then, a snap of branches, followed by the bright chiming of small bells, cutting into the night. A sound that did not belong to nature, and yet slid into it with eerie harmony. It was drawing closer.
My fingers slid instinctively to the hilt of the dagger at my hip as I rose and turned toward the open door.
At first, there was only darkness. Then a shape pulled free from it, tall, broad. A man.
My heartbeat quickened, a flicker rising in my stomach. His steps were swift, deliberate, and despite his size he moved with the ease of one well-trained.
A man. A fighter.
The firelight touched him, horns carved into his mask, fur spilling beneath. Not the crude masks of the villagers, yet close enough to mark him as one of them. A sword rested across his back, and in his hands he carried something I could not yet discern in the half-light.
His presence was commanding.
Every muscle in me tightened, ready to defend. Yet the villagers had never shown me hostility. So I waited, motionless, eyes locked on him.
He halted at my veranda, and with a single gesture stripped me of caution, like wind tearing leaves from a branch. He bowed low, stretched out both arms, and held out a creature.
âPlease⌠help her,â he said. His voice was quiet, pleading, unexpectedly gentle for a warrior.
A log cracked loudly in the fire. Slowly, I let go of the dagger.
My eyes fell to the bundle in his hands.
A squirrel. Its breath came shallow and ragged, tiny legs twitching in distress.
I healed people, not animals, yet I took the small body carefully from him. Its coldness seeped through fur into my palms, clashing with the warmth of my own skin. Whether that was a good or ill sign, I could not say.
âHow long has it been like this?â I asked evenly, laying it on a pelt beside the glowing iron basin. Firelight danced across its small form.
âI⌠I donât know,â he murmured, so softly I almost missed it.
âDid you find it, or is it yours?â
I lifted its eyelid gently, noting the red haze beneath. Its paws twitched spasmodically, and a wheezing rasp tore from its throat.
âShe⌠Ao is a friend.â
So it was his.
The belly felt swollen beneath my fingertips, the movements inside faint and irregular. I paused. Where did one check the heartbeat of a squirrel? The networks of blood differed from humans, yet all flowed toward the limbs.
I chose the hind leg. Seconds stretched, and I nearly shifted to another place when I caught it, a faint, sluggish throb beneath my touch. Far too slow for a creature whose very survival depended on swift escape and restless foraging.
âWhat has she eaten?â
âRoots,â he answered curtly.
A low hum escaped me as I pried the tiny jaws apart. Little could be seen, pale flesh dulled under the light.
âDo you know which?â
â⌠No.â
My fingertips smoothed over her head before I bent closer. Many mountain roots carried a distinct scent. I drew in a breath, yes. A faint sweetness rose from her throat.
Yew root. Harmless to humans, even soothing against aching joints, but to so small a body?
I placed the squirrel gently back on the pelt and turned to my shelves. Whatever I chose now, each path bore the risk of killing her. For the first time in years, I felt the hollow edge of my own limits.
The squirrel gasped, a broken rattle for breath. Instinct carried me, medicines, oil, a bowl, then the familiar roll of soft leather that held my tools. Returning, I spread them out.
âCome in. Sit,â I said quietly, eyes fixed on my work.
From the corner of my vision I saw him hesitate. Only after I had laid out the kit and drawn oil into the blunt syringe did he step inside, wary, slow. Finally he sat.
âIâll give your friend oil, and one of two things will follow.â
I cradled the squirrel, meeting his gaze.
âEither she empties her stomach into this bowl⌠or she dies.â
At that word his jaw clenched, lips pressed to a thin line. I waited until he gave a single, tight nod. Then I eased the metal tip into the tiny mouth.
She resisted weakly, protesting in breathless squeaks, but swallowed all the same.
I held her above the bowl, stroking lightly down her neck. The small legs slackened.
Not good.
That familiar tingling coursed into my hand, the sign I was reaching deep into anotherâs fragile body. Her pulse stuttered, collapsing. Soon the organs would fail.
She was dying.
I exhaled sharply. Outside, the faint bells rang again. The young man lowered his head, fists tightening.
No. I would not let this foolish creature die.
Heat flared under my skin as I forced her heart and blood to find rhythm again. Seconds dragged, heavy as lead.
Then, a jolt.
Her tiny body convulsed, wracked by a violent heave.
It was not a pleasant sight, and the sounds alone sent a cold shiver crawling down my spine. The man tensed, but I stroked gently over the soft fur and whispered:
âItâs all right.â
It took time, but I waited, motionless, until no sound came from the small mouth. The stomach emptied, the body stilled in my hands.
Relief rose in me like warm air.
The heartbeat remained sluggish, yet the breathing steadied, slower, even. A good sign, perhaps enough to carry the little friend through the night.
The diluted medicine I had given was soothing, invigorating, replenishing the body with what it had lost. I could only hope such things held true for an animal as well. For now it lay calm, its state no longer worsening.
I covered the tiny form carefully and placed it close to the glowing basin.
âI canât say if your friend will see dawn,â I said softly, âbut if his strength holds through the night, the stars are in his favor.â
As I spoke, I returned my tools to their places, cleaning each piece with care before setting water on to boil for tea.
He answered only with a stiff nod. The bells at his mask chimed faintly with each movement.
I liked that sound. It carried me back to summers long past, cool water lapping at my skin, my motherâs bright, unrestrained laughter as she danced around the great fire. Her anklets had sung in silver tones, and the wind bore their music far into the night.
I pushed away the bitter ache that stirred in my chest. That had been long ago.
âHere.â
I handed him a steaming cup. He hesitated, unsure how to respond.
âI donât poison my guests,â I said calmly. âIf thatâs what you fear.â
His hands accepted the cup. âI⌠thank youâŚâ
A shiver ran through me when he lifted his head, when his gaze met mine through the narrow slits of the mask. Silent. Intense. There was something in it that went beyond the look of any ordinary man.
âWhat is your name?â I asked, seating myself.
He lowered his head, his voice muffled. âSei⌠ryuu.â
The name was not unknown to me.
Had I heard it before? Or read it?
Humming faintly, I searched my memory until the image of a thin book surfaced, one a trader had pressed into my hands in exchange for herbs, back when I crossed Koukaâs border. The tale of the landâs beginning⌠four dragons descending from the heavens to guard their brother.
Seiryuu, the Blue Dragon, whose eyes saw all.
âIs that a title⌠or your name?â
Slowly, he raised his gaze, opened his mouth, then closed it again.
I waited in silence until at last he spoke.
â⌠I have⌠no name. They call me only⌠Seiryuu.â
âI see.â
And I did.
The abandoned children of Ragnama, a forest far to the north, spoke as he did, outcasts, despised, left to themselves. With little language for the outer world, no practice in human ways. They bore no names of their own.
I could not remember the last time I had entrusted my name to another. And when I spoke it now, driven by some quiet pull within me, it sounded strange to my ears, as though it no longer belonged wholly to me.

"So when are we gunna fuck?"
You coughed on your drink, wide eyes looking up at the red-headed menace you called your friend. You knew you liked each other; the way his eyes always undressed you when he thought you didn't notice, or the way his laugh echoed inside your body like an addictive drug...
But never had he been so bold as to ask you something like that directly to your face.
"I uh, that's incredibly ballsy of you, Eustass."
The man grinned and barked out a laugh as his fleshy hand landed over his heart.
"Ugh, I love it when you say my name - you should definitely scream it for me later."
Your cheeks burned bright red, your eyes still wide as the words ran laps in your head over over. He had flirted with you before, but nothing to this extent.
"...Are you drunk?"
Your words pierced him, but he hid the pang of bitterness with an almost sneer as he replied with a bite,
"I don't need to be drunk to tell you I want to fuck you."
You were silent for a moment, eyes finally wandering his body until they landed back on his face. His eyes always told the truth, and he was not lying about this. One of your eyebrows ticked up, a small smirk washing over your lips as you finally replied,
"Well then, why don't you show me just how sober you are?"
It was a blur, the next few moments. He had picked you up so easily, throwing you over a shoulder as your surprised and dark red face met the few crew still awake and watching with amused expressions.
"Get 'er, Captain, you fuckin' dog!" Someone cheered out, your face burning worse as Kid's metal hand came up to slap you on the ass, hard enough to pull a sound from you.
He gave a rumbling chuckle before quite literally barking out,
"Woof."
He literally kicked the door open down to the rooms, his long legs taking every two steps as you bounced on his shoulder. Your hands were firm against his back to try and minimize the shock but it wasn't doing much, a deep frown etched into your face as you bit back pained grunts.
When he finally hit the last step, he made quick work to get to his room, throwing the door open and tossing you roughly onto his bed. Your back hit the mattress and your breath left you, having to struggle to take a breath for a moment. You gave him a low glare when you finally caught it, slowly sitting up as your gaze changed as he ripped off his clothes, staring you down with hungry eyes.
"Good God," you murmured out, your eyes widening as you took him in in all his shamelessness. Your face burned terribly when your lower peripheral caught his lower region a little too well, trying very hard not to actually look further down.
"Careful princess, you keep looking at me like that and I'll ruin you."
Your eyes snapped up to his and your entire body ached, his gaze eating you from the inside out; that stupid, shit eating grin he always wore plastered across his face.
"Is that a threat or a promise?"
The words left your mouth before your brain had even registered that you spoke, a sudden look of shock crossing your own face when he cackled loudly.
"Both, obviously."
The teasing tone sent a shiver up your spine, and before you could say anything in return, your back hit the mattress once more, your wrists locked in a metal and fleshy grasp pinned above your head. Sharp, red eyes met yours as his face came above yours, and you swore your heart stopped, the thrill of being under Kid and his gaze feeling almost overwhelming.
"So?"
Your eyes narrowed at his question.
"So... what?"
He rolled his eyes with a huff and snarked back with a twitch of his hips,
"SO, when are we gunna fuck? You never answered me."
Your annoyed look softed at his words, realizing the mighty Eustass Kid was asking for consent.
"And they say chivalry is dead," you joked with a laugh before moving your head up as much as you could, your nose just brushing against his as you grinned up at him.
"Just fuck me already, Eustass."
It was like a switch had turned on in him. His lips devoured yours, his metal hand overtaking both your hands in his one, his other hand making its way down to rip off your shirt and your skirt, a delighted sound leaving his throat as he realized you had a cute, thin red thong on.
You groaned in annoyance as he ripped those off too.
You pulled away from the kiss to bite out,
"That was my favorite combo, you asshat! Do you know how much I spent on that fucking shirt?!"
His flesh hand grasped the bottom of your face harshly, pulling you back into a rough kiss, his tongue overtaking your mouth until he finally pulled away, leaving you breathless and moaning gently.
"Shut up, I'll buy you whatever the fuck you want later. I'll even help you out with your garbage style," he laughed out mockingly, his hand moving away from your face to travel back down to your now naked core. Your eyes rolled back as he shoved two digits in, giving you no time to get used to the intrusion as he immediately began thrusting into you. He had a snarking grin on his face as he watched yours, basking in how your body moved and begged for him.
"Yeah, just like that,"
His voice was suddenly so close, not realizing your eyes had shut as your hips ground against his hand. His breath tickled over your ear as he chuckled.
"I told you, I'm going to ruin you."
You whined as his fingers left you, his body slotting itself between your shaking legs. You gasped as he lined himself up, his tip already stretching you as he tested the waters. He groaned at how wet you were, feeling you pull him in as you rolled your hips onto him, his cock sliding in little by little until his hips finally met yours. You both stayed quiet for a moment, you both heavily breathing bring the only sound in the room. It was quiet enough that you could hear the party still continuing upstairs but neither of you paid it any mind.
The kiss he gave you was a little more gentle, still as demanding but more caring than hungry. He stared you down, almost as if waiting for you to say or do anything. When you tightened around him, his breath hitched and he chuckled lowly, biting down on your bottom lip hard enough to make your groan.
"Good girl."
His pace was intense, rough and almost painful if not for the incredible amount of extacy running through your entire body. Your fingers and palms ached under the metal grasp, your back arching into Kids chest as he fulfilled his promise and threat, his eyes falling shut as he bent his head to bite down on a breast, groaning around the flesh now covered in lipstick.
His grunts and groans made your stomach twist and heart flutter, a feeling of pride washing over you as you reveled in being the one to make him fall apart and lose control.
His lips suddenly met yours again for just a moment, his warm hand moving from gripping your hip to rub across your lips, barking out a laugh as he commented,
"You fucked up my makeup, slut. There's punishment for that."
Your eyes rolled back as his mouth met your throat, biting down every once in a while as he thrusted into you, bringing you closer and closer to the edge. His name fell from your lips over and over, feeling his lips grin into your throat as he shifted his hips slightly, his tip hitting a spot you didn't even know existed. You saw stars and came hard, clenching around him to the point his hips faltered, your name tumbling from him like a prayer as he followed you, filling you with a burning warmth that just added to the overwhelming sensations Kid just put you through.
He finally lifted his head after a few minutes, his forehead resting against yours as you stared at each other. Your breath mingled for a moment before his bent a bit to capture your lips, his metal hand finally releasing your hands from its cage. Your hands went to his body and his hair, pulling him as close as possible as your legs wrapped around his waist.
"What took you so long?"
He pulled back enough to look down at you with a overly shocked face, almost angry at your words.
"The fuck is that supposed to mean?!"
You laughed breathlessly, rolling your eyes mockingly as you replied,
"It means, what took you so long to ask to fuck me?"
He was quiet for a minute before replying honestly,
"I didn't think ya liked me like that. Didn't want to make you uncomfortable."
Your heart melted at how uncomfortable he himself looked, his eyes looking everywhere but you. You clenched around his somehow still semi hard cock and he grunted, glared down at you.
"Do I look uncomfortable? Because I can promise you that I'm not. In fact, I feel the safest I've ever felt."
His eyes softed slightly before he kissed you again, a cheeky grin on his face as he chuckled out,
"Aw, don't make me blush, princess."
In a flash, he pressed you back down to the mattress, his hips slowly beginning their assault once more. Your one hand tightened in his hair as his mouth met your neck once more, teeth grazing and nipping your flesh as you slowly fall apart under him once again.
"Eustass..."
"I hope you have no plans tomorrow, because we're going all... night... long..."
WEEEEEE !! wow that was SO much fun to write, what a snarky lil bastard !! I love him !! I spent about 2 and a half hours on this so if you saw any mistakes, no you did not ! đĽ°đ

summary: (Y/N) Tsuru has a best friend in Izuna Uchiha; a trio of teenaged genin to teach the merits of being a shinobi to; and feelings for a man who wouldn't realize she was in love with him even if she said it to his face - a moot point, however, considering said man has engaged himself to the Uzumaki Princess.
or : In which Hashirama is a fool and Tobirama is not.

a/n: aND HERE WE ARE!!!
part seven
Mito and Hashiramaâs wedding ceremony had come to fruition with all the wealth that the Nara Clan would allow out of Konohaâs coffers, helped along by the grant of the Uzukage. The streets of the village were bright and colorful, streamers and paper luck charms billowing in the breezes made from the celebrations across the market and civilian sects.
There was laughter and food wherever you looked, and the celebration only became more condensed as the retinue followed the couple and their families into the Senju Compound.
âPoor Tobirama looks trapped,â Mei said to you, nodding ahead to where, indeed, Tobirama was locked in a one-way conversation with the talkative Uzumaki Heir who seemed to take the Senju Heirâs silent treatment as an invitation to impart all aspects of life in Uzushiogakure to him.
âHeâll live,â you laughed, briefly catching Tobiramaâs long-off, fleeting attention before Hiroki nudged him in the side, laughing at something that had evidently gone completely over your belovedâs head.
Izuna snorted from his place next to Madara, glancing over his shoulder at you and Mei. âI quite like his new friendship with the Uzu Heir. You can see his patience wearing thinner each time you look over.â
True again, you could see Tobiramaâs jaw clenching as Hiroki regaled him further.
âSomeone might want to remove the boy from Tobirama before the Uzukage has to search for another heir his clan,â Madara mused, sarcasm thick in his voice.
Mei chuckled, âTobirama only has to stand next to him until Hashirama makes his husband speech and then heâll be free.â
The retinue filed into the Senju Main House and onto the property around, over fifty members of the Uzumaki Clan and their friends, and then nearly every member of Konohaâs clans crowding the usually spacious house. You found your way into the dining hall â the same one that youâd been subject to the assembly dinner in four months ago â and stood against the wall with Madara on one side of you and Izuna on the other, Mei holding place at Izunaâs opposite side. There was enough room to draw a weapon between your group and two young Uzumaki girls in front of you, but there was no measure of hostility between anyone, not as the Uzumaki Princess smiled at the gathered crowd with the Shodaime Hokage at her side.
The volume of the room began to quiet as both Hashirama and Mito raised a hand, gazes switching back and forth between the Shodaime Hokage and the Uzumaki Princess.
âFriends and family,â Hashirama spoke out when the room had quieted. âIt makes me so glad to see so many of you here and in good health!â
There was some polite clapping and you caught Tobiramaâs eyes across the room, where he still stood side by side with Hiroki to the coupleâs right. He raised an eyebrow at you, and you raised one in reply, to which he smiled slightly at until Hiroki turned his head and whispered something under his breath to him.
âIt is an honor to have been accepted into the Uzumaki Clan as a husband, a brother, and a son,â Hashirama went on, âand we, as the Senju Clan, cherish and accept Mito into our clan as a wife and a sister.â
Hashirama raised a glass and the cheer was made, but Mito stepped forward, holding up her own glass. The guests from Uzushio froze at her movement and you watched Hashiramaâs brow briefly furrow before he remembered himself and made himself smile even as confusion welled up in his expression.
Mitoâs wedding shiro-muku was nearly entirely white, only the red hems offering any color. Her hair had been braided and then pinned with white and red carnations at the back of her head, and her lips were painted carmine, drawing light to the honey-brown of her eyes. She was even more breathtaking than sheâd been when youâd met her, and standing beside her new husband dressed in the ceremonial black, there was not a doubt in your mind that she would not let him eclipse her, ever.
âIt is an honor to welcome you into our clan, Hashirama,â Mito said, speaking directly to her husband. âAs your bride, I embrace you with strength and dignity, with compassion and integrity, and with discipline and respect. You are my partner unto death and an ember in the flame of my soul, and the tide that I do not fight.â She turned and gave him a half bow, neither disrespecting his position or her own. âMay our lives be bathed in light and opportunity so that we may face the dark together as equals.â
Your lips had parted sometime during Mitoâs speech and around you, most of the room was in an equal state of shock at the weight by which her words held. Your eyes found Tobiramaâs across the room again and realized he had already been staring at you, waiting for you to look at him. There was another smile on his face, one that you rarely saw unless it was only the two of you.
âHer words are clever and well-timed,â Madara said to you as you clapped along with him. âShe showed up Hashiramaâs speech and appealed directly to the empathy of the Konoha shinobi here.â
âWell, who wrote the foolâs wedding speech then?â Izuna asked, holding tightly onto Meiâs hand. When you didnât immediately give an answer, his eyebrows rose. âTobirama really let Hashirama write his wedding speech by himself?â
You smiled slightly, âHe said that if his brother could marry himself off with no help, then he could write his speech the same way.â
âIdiot,â Madara grunted. You elbowed him in the ribs when the Uzushio girls in front of you turned around and gave him a look.
âI hesitate to call the Shodaime Hokage an idiot,â one of the girls said to Madara, tone short and evident she had no idea who she was talking to.
âWell I sure as hell donât,â Izuna scoffed in response, crossing his arms over his chest and incidentally accentuating the Sharingan-style kamon on the sleeves of his robes. The girls whipped back around, eyes wide.
âDonât be rude, âzuna.â Mei squeezed his arm, though sharing an amused look with you.
Izuna held her hand again and frowned as he looked back toward where Hashirama was speaking with Tobirama and Mito to Hiroki. âI canât help but feel like Hashiramaâs let a fox into the hen house,â he said.
Madara gave a soft breath of laughter. âAre you calling yourself a cock, otouto?â Madara asked across you, smirking.
A noise unbefitting of a clan heir left Izunaâs mouth as you bit into your lip to keep from outright laughing. âThe only dick around here is you, aniki,â Izuna hissed back, voice hardly a whisper.
Madara let out a soft whistle, âFinally found your balls again, otouto?â
âMadara,â you sighed as Mei pulled Izuna back from scowling at his brother across you.
âWe both know his are bigger than yours, Madara,â Mei replied lightly.
Your jaw did drop then, right along with Madaraâs as Izuna gasped, âMei!â
âI told you she didnât mind impropriety,â Madara leered at Izuna after a beat of recovery while his brother held onto his intended by the shoulders.
âWeâve tainted you!â Izuna bemoaned and Mei rolled her eyes even as she smiled, patting Izunaâs cheek.
What words you couldâve said in response were laughed over by Hashirama as he entered the small ring the four of you had made against the wall. Tobirama was in his shadow, but when you smiled at him, he stepped around his brother and took your offered hand in his as he filled the space beside you.
âWhat words, Izuna!â Hashirama chuckled, patting Madara on the shoulder and handing a drink off to him. âIs everything alright?â
Izuna grunted, glare shifting from his brother to Hashirama. âIt was until Madara opened his mouth.â
âWhy, Izuna,â Madara replied, raising a hand to his chest in faux offense, âif I had not opened my mouth, you might have continued to think your Mei didnât have a mutual sense of humor.â
âYouâre tormenting him, Madara,â Mei spoke up, shaking her head at the elder Uchiha Brother.
Hashirama chuckled, and patted Madaraâs shoulder again. âWalk with me, friend?â he asked.
Madara gave an assenting nod, and then turned, giving both you and Mei a smile before winking at his brother, who scoffed and crossed his arms over his chest.
âWell wishes on your marriage, Hashirama,â you said before he and Madara left.
Hashirama paused, glancing toward where Mito still stood at the front of the room with the members of her clan and now some of the other clan leaders from Konoha. He gave a short nod before he smiled, âThank you, (Y/N).â
Tobiramaâs hand found its way to the small of your back as you returned the nod.
âI do not envy him,â Izuna said as Hashirama and Madara disappeared into the crowd.
Tobirama gave a snort, âOn that, we can agree.â
You and Mei shared a look as Izunaâs mouth pulled into a smirk directed toward Tobirama.
âŚ
âIt seems that marriage is becoming a thing of normality in our group, since Izuna proposed to his Mei,â Hashirama said, sipping from his cup as he and Madara stood together near the porch.
âIf you forget me, then perhaps,â Madara replied easily, swirling around the sake in his cup.
âYouâll find a partner soon, I think,â Hashirama chuckled. âYou need only have an interest and there are plenty of potentials who would line up to claim your heart, dear friend.â
Madaraâs nose furrowed but he made no comment as he drank, but the lapse of silence only lasted a moment.
â(Y/N) will make a good wife for Tobirama if he intends to marry her, donât you think, Madara?â Hashirama mused, looking on after the pair after some time. Izuna and Mei still held space around them, but they had been joined by Hiroki and Mito, and a few others of the Uzumaki Clan.
Madara raised an eyebrow, holding his sake cup to his face. âWhat makes you say that, dear friend?â
Hashirama let out a quiet laugh and glanced at the distance between him and his new wife again before he spoke. âWell, sheâs beautiful, isnât she?â he said. âIntelligent, compassionate, even able to navigate a conversation with Mito longer than I. She would be an ally to her husband in most any situation and she already holds the respect of most of the shinobi.â
The sound of your laughter suddenly carried across the room and Madara glanced to where Tobirama was straightening from having leaned over to speak into your ear, a smile pulling at the side of his mouth as you held onto the sleeve of his haori.
Hashirama nudged Madaraâs shoulder with his own and said, âHad I looked closer than Uzushio, (Y/N) could have been my own wife.â
Madara choked on his drink.

Hereâs my entry for the @narutoocshipweek! I totally only today decided to enter - so my entries will be relatively short! But itâs a really cool event and for me, a good chance to write/introduce my OC, Akiko, a bit more, until I get around to posting her story.
All my entries will take place in a LATER place in the story! Akikoâs story doesnât start with an established relationship. This is indulgent fluff!!
I now live on the West coast, where it is still Wednesday. In my mind, at least.Â
The latest chapter of It Might Kill Me has been a complete and total bitch, so I thought putting a little bit of it out there in the world might help create the brainpower I need to get the damn thing under control. And Iâve gotten a couple new followers since the last chapter was posted, so I thought this could be a fun chance to plug my own work (yuck. I know weâre always saying that promotion is just a part of being a content creator in fandom but that doesnât mean it has to feel good!)Â
It Might Kill Me is a fic I never meant to write yet has been in the works for a solid eight years now. It started with thoughts about how the Career Districts work, exactly, and what would happen if the Career-iest Career of them all, our murder boy, Cato, was shocked into awareness of the horror of the Games before going into the arena. It quickly grew out of control, and now itâs a giant detour through character development into a world where he gets a second chance, all delivered through the eyes of a goofy but determined District Ten Tribute assigned as his partner for the Quarter Quell. And, because Iâm still certifiable Grade-A Everlark trash, there are lots of Everlark-y themes and moments (I like to think of it as inside-out Everlark, where the romantic deception is explicit from the get-go but gets murkier as time goes on until no one really knows whatâs real, or not real).Â
Alright thatâs already more than I wanted to say. Hereâs a wee snippet from the chap-in-progress!
~~~
Fra takes a seat at the table beside me. I almost burst into tears.
Whether he realises my emotional instability or not, Fra just takes my hand quickly and gives it a reassuring squeeze. He accepts a bowl of oatmeal from an Avox with a polite nod, like this is just a normal breakfast in the Capitol. Only itâs not. Itâs not normal at all. This could be my last breakfastânot just in the Capitol, but anywhere. Â
How could anything feel normal?
The roof is unusually cold. I take several deep breathsâthe air almost stings my lungs. âIâm fine,â I say. Am I talking to the air? To the Capitol? To him? âRolling with the punches is what I do.â Another deep breath. âThis is just⌠really unexpectedâ
Cato is silent for a long moment. âYour feelings will not help you,â he says, voice deadly quiet. âYouâre not an idiot. Trust that. And trust your gut.â
The atmosphere of the apartment is tense and joyless. Rhodendra doesnât seem to notice, flitting about as usual with pep in her step and barely-restrained impatience at the schedule weâre keeping. The Capitolite is always a little out-of-place in our company, but this morning her presence itself feels almost garish.Â
But despite the grey tension hanging like a wet blanket over all our shoulders, I donât want to leave. I donât want to get in the elevator with Fra, leaving Rhodendra behind to energetically prod Jace and Clyse along. I donât want to feel my Mentorâs hand on my shoulder, or listen to him tell me he believes in me.
âWhat if thereâs too much space between the Cornucopias? What if you canât get to me within twenty-four hours?â
Iâm calm now. Itâs time to consider the possibilities, to prepare. I wonât get a chance to talk to him tomorrow, so we need to make sure we are on the same page about everything tonight.
âWho cares?â Cato paces back and forth in the gazebo, long legs covering the distance in just two strides. âWe donât need a âmaterial advantageâ to win. We have sponsors to help us if we need it.â
Heâs right. I hate the idea of missing out on any assistance available to us, but heâs right. I have to trust that we know what weâre doing, that weâve done enough, that we can do this on our own terms if we have to.
I have to trust that Iâm not an idiot. I have to trust my gut. No matter what happens tomorrow. Â
Summary: Â An after hunt high leads to something youâve been wanting for awhile now.
Written for:  @authoressskr with the prompt âMove away if you donât want this kissâ (sorry I couldnât get the second in there too!)
Word Count: Â 580
Tags/Warnings: smut, penetration, outdoor sex, sex against a car
Move away if you donât want this kiss.â Â Despite the command you can tell he doesnât want you to. Â You can feel it pouring off his body, filling the small gap between his and yours. Â Gold practically glows within the darkness, and despite how firmly heâs gripping your arm, you know if you did keep moving, heâd let you slip right through his fingertips.
You should go. You should get in your car and drive as far from that god forsaken haunted forest as you can. Â Thereâs no telling how many spirits are still out there, but of course he has to choose this moment to make his stand. Â
Your legs are like stone pillars, stiff and unyielding, and no matter how much you try to swallow back the truth that youâve wanted this for so long, it blooms across your chest in ways that exhilarate and ache. Â
You stand there, entranced as his eyes sear with an intensity you never thought would be fixed on you. Â
He leans forward, slowly, painfully so, allowing you the chance to turn away, refuse him, escape. Â By the time his mouth reaches yours youâre leaning into him, the electrical charge thatâs been building between you bursting into a thousand bolts that intensify as they collide with the high of your hunt.
You immediately reach for him, hands on his face, in his hair, body melting against his as he crushes you against him. Â Itâs nothing but months long hunger as you devour each other with lips and palms, fingertips taking ownership of everything they can before he finally pushes you roughly up against the side of your car.
Heâs got the button to your jeans open in a flash, hands diving to cup your sex before a solitary fingers feels itâs way to your clit. Â A single touch sends a jolt of pire need sparking through your system, one that immediately fries your patience.
âNeed you in me,â you rasp, reaching down to help free him from his own restrictive clothing Â
He grunts out his approval as you yank his pants down to his knees, and you pull a long moan from him as you take his length into your hand with a few encouraging pumps. Â He doesnât need to be told twice, a snap from his fingers pooling both your pants and his at his feet. Â
He lowers himself slightly, letting you guide him toward your entrance. Â You rub him along your folds, coating him with the wetness already gathered before getting him in place. Â He reaches beneath your left leg, hooking his arm beneath your knee, opening you up to him.
Thereâs a burning stretch as he finally pushes inside, inch after inch disappearing until heâs finally hilted. Â
âFuck.â Â He stands there a moment, eyes squeezed shut, as if shutting out his sight to savor you through his cock alone. Â
âTrying to,â you breathe rocking your hips into him. Â
His mirth exhales in a breathy chuckle. Â âThen hang on tight, sweetheart, because youâre about to get your car rocked.â
Your brow shoots up. Â âDonât you mean world?â
He slowly starts to withdraw, pushing your knee to your chest as his body cages you in place. Â The angle changes as he thrusts back in, and smugness splashes self-satisfied across face in a smirk as you throw your head back, a sharp cry of pleasure echoing through the eerily silent trees as he hits deeper than before. Â
âThat too,â he growls, beginning to fuck you in earnest. Â
A/N: This was inspired by all the RSJ gifs from Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders flying across my dash, so you can thank @rich-a-day for this one. Â
This is also an unbetaâd drunk âdrabbleâ, and I blame all my mistakes on the vodka.
âGabe?â Â Itâs not the volume of your words that cuts through the quiet so much as your uncertainty.
He doesnât hesitate in responding, the timbre of his voice as strong and steady as if you were both back at the bunker. Â âYeah?â
You swallow, and for a moment you almost back down from your confession. Â âIâm scared.â Â
His presence immediately stretches across the small dungeon, flooding it from wall to wall until thereâs nothing but him surrounding you. Â âItâs going to be ok, sweetheart. Â I promise.â
Only he canât promise these things, not now that heâs so powered down heâs practically human. Â
âCâmere.â Â He motions you over with his free hand as the other hangs level with his head, secured to the wall in enochian engraved cuffs. Â
You look at him a moment. Â âI canât.â Â
The rope around your wrists pulls tight as you raise them, reminding him that you, too, are a bit tied up at the moment.
He simply arches a brow. Â âSince when has a little rope and metal ever stopped you?â
Any other time you would have responded with touche or an equally smartass remark, but the screams down the hall distract you, sending your heart rate into the stratosphere as another round of adrenaline courses through your veins. Â
Youâre going to die here. Â Itâs all you can think about. Â Sam and Dean donât have a clue where you are, neither you nor Gabriel know enough about your location to send any hints to Cas, and the agonizing shrieks that echo through the underground chambers never stop. Â
Itâs only a matter of time before your captors come for you. Â Â
âDonât give up on me yet.â  The command drags you back from the depths of your mind, and when his face comes back into focus heâs more serious than youâve ever seen him.  âYouâre one of the smartest people I know, and with these in play,â metal rattles against stone as he shakes his bound hand at you, âWe need all the brain power we can get.â Â
He needs you. Â You. Â And the revelation is enough to shake you free from your fear, if only temporarily. Â
You glance up at your bindings. Â The material itself seems pretty sound. Â The fibers are smooth, wound tight, without signs itâs beginning to dry out or fray. Â
Next, you inspect the steel eyelet thatâs keeping you tethered to the wall. Â Itâs relatively new, hardy, without any chips or rust. Â The stone itâs embedded in, however, is another story. Â
There are cracks where the metalâs been hammered in, and when you run your fingers around the edges a few pieces break away and fall to the floor. Â
âGabriel.â  Your quiet hiss remains covered by the casual conversation happening from outside the aisles.  Sam and Dean continue to discuss the case youâre on while you track down a specific book, oblivious to the extra company youâve acquired. Â
His hand skims along the inside of your thigh, fingertips drinking in the silken contours of your nylons. Â âShhh. Â Unless the plan is to alert dumb and dumber of whatâs happening back here.â Â
Part of you is tempted to, so you can get back to work. Â The other, clearly more prominent part has you pressing back against him as his fingertips graze along your sex.
âYour mouth says no, but the deliberate lack of underwear tell a different story,â he breathes, a single finger pushing between your folds to tease along your slit, and the moment he discovers the moisture already gathering there he tsks. Â âYouâve been holding out on me, sweetheart.â Â
He nudges you forward, unceremoniously spreading your legs with the sweep of his. Â
You manage not to stumble, hands shooting out to grip the shelf in front of you, but thereâs no masking your yelp of surprise or the scuff of your sole against against hardwood. Â
The boys conversation cuts off. Â
âEverything alright back there?â Dean asks. Â
You open your mouth, and just as you answer Gabriel takes that moment to push not one but two fingers into your entrance. Â
âYe-ah!â Â You squawk. Â
Your head swivels around to catch the inflated smirk heâs wearing. Â
Ass. Â
You send that thought to him through prayer, and a moment later his voice fills your head.
Not our usual foreplay, but if you insist.
He pulls back out of you, slick fingertips easing up the crack of your ass.  Your eyes widen as you catch on to his intent, hips jerking forward when you feel him press against your other hole. Â
You flinch, eyes flashing murder at him as the The Annals of Swedish Folklore volumes one and three slam against the floor.
"You sure youâre alright?â Â Sam calls to you.
âYeah, no, totally fine,â you insist, and the only reason you donât slap the archangels hand away is because that would only draw further attention. Â
âIâm justâŚâ Â
You fumble for an explanation, mouth parting in exhalation as Gabrielâs fingers slide lower again, teasing a slow circle around your entrance before dipping them back inside.
âSuch a klutz in these heels.â Â
The excuse flows so freely from your mouth youâre fairly certain itâs been planted. Â Youâd consider it a peace offering for your boyfriendâs blatant disregard for anything, but the hand that clamps over your mouth suggests things are only going to get worse - and oh so much better - from here.
He pushes his fingers into you as far as he can, pumping in and out a few times before twisting his hand around to catch that spot just right.Â
Itâs all you can do to bite back a moan.
âLetâs play a game,â he purrs, as soon as Sam and Dean start talking again, his hand increasing its pace. Â "Itâs called how many times can you come before making a sound?â
