Heres a list of things to avoid that look sus! (compiled from many other posts and lp reddit)

Getting out of the car and putting on a backpack 

Covering your face as you walk in the door

Walking quickly

Looking at people, not merchandise / noticing every person who walks by

Carrying a large bag

Looking at people instead of looking for a cart when they first walk in the building.

Selecting a hiding item (trash can, tote, large box) and placing it in the cart before going to a high theft area

Women who put their purses in the top of the cart and leave them open. Then when they select, some things go into the basket and some go next to the purse.

Bragging to your friends

Out of season clothing (sweatshirts to body-pack in the winter etc.)

Sunglasses

Backpacks

Red dyed hair

Stroller with two bags

Hoodies on especially if the drawstrings are pulled

Carrying a receipt

Going in circles

Leaning on the cart when pushing it (elbows on cart to look relaxed but has a stiff back)

Going to the bathroom multiple times

Touching your face allot 

Covering your mouth (sign of anxiety)

Looking around the store at an abnormal rate

Being surprised when an SA approaches you

Removing hangers from clothing and leaving those hangers on the rack. 

Hanging around blind spot areas too much

Groups of teenagers

Picking items w/o even looking at prices

If they came inside the store on foot (walked instead of drove)

They literally had animals out in the open!!! Dogs, Bunnies, Cats, hamsters

They had a fucking Bengal cat but that one was behind glass 😢

Lifting or not, people get stopped. You’ve probably been stopped before and never thought anything of it. If you get stopped and questioned, act just like you would if you hadn’t lifted a day in your life. Being polite, while feigning "offended" or "confused" is the easiest way to go. Alternatively, you could be b*tch about being hassled but that may not work for you personally or could be perceived as defensive (making it harder to backpeddle.) Find what works for you. Ultimately though in that moment, you are completely innocent by anyone's standards.

Stores that are “hands off” can’t physically stop you and be within policy. Any employee that isn't LP shouldn't be doing anything remotely close to stopping customers. When they do, deal either one of 2 ways; Either hold a receipt and project the impression of complying with their requests by giving them a closed mouth smile and nod while keeping pace, when they want to check a receipt or bags or something else, just act like its exactly what you’d if you weren’t lifting. Otherwise, walk briskly, showing no receipt, and shoot them a bothered look as if to say their accosting you is rude as is their desire to needlessly waste your time. Legally, SA’s and LP CAN NOT physically prevent you from leaving. They aren’t police, they can’t detain you.

If LP is stopping you, they're stopping you for a reason, so there's no point playing polite. When they stop you, they're either formally accusing you of shoplifting or they’re not. Call them out point-blank and ask "Are you accusing me of something?" Look them in the eye, press them for an answer, and don't let them skirt around it. Say "no" to any and all other requests. If they don't give you a straight answer & evade the question with something like "if you let us see your receipt we can clear this up", don't waste time. Say "no thanks" and walk away. If they touch you, treat it as assault . If they’re accusing of lifting, ask them for the details of what they're accusing you of having lifted, or tell them to call the police and WALK THE FUCK AWAY. If they're going to tackle you, they're going to tackle you, nothing you do will change that. Better them getting an assault charge than you getting a theft charge.

Sorry I’ve been gone for literally so long as in I haven’t posted a haul. My phone got all jacked up and I bought an iPod and had to transfer photos from my phone to iPod and I’m so busy I had no time.

ANYWAYS I’ve been mad lifting not gonna lie and I’m starting to get into makeup and I’ve finally started to find my fashion sense I think.

I’ve picked up where I left off on hauls, I have like 6 others I need to post so I’ll be doing that hopefully soon. Sorry I left you guys on a hook for a while I’ve been so busy and so tired that I haven’t had the motivation to post.

I just started working eBay and I would say that it's better because people actually buy your items at regular/lower prices, I haven't encountered any lowballers. I will say that I have sold two things already and one I fucked up and sent the wrong palette. The other one never arrived to my seller so now I have to send another of the same product, and it's taking longer than I would like to be resolved (with shipping and finding time to get to the box). You also don't have to pay 10% on your item (I think unless it's over like $100 or something I haven't listed anything like that), you can just pay to make the shipping label and tracking info so uoir package gets there faster and if it gets lost you can contact eBay or the post office about it.
