A/N: This is my first fanfic / One shot I post on here. It came with the idea of waking up. I still hope you all can kinda enjoy this. no beta read
You woke up to the cracking of the wood that laid in the fireplace. The light smell of burned wood coming up to your nose as you held your eyes closed, not wanting to escape the warmth you were confronted with. You breathed out turning more towards the warmth feeling, snuggling against it slowly drifting away to sleep again. You almost did until you felt a hand on your back softly stroking it up and down before going over your arm shaking you a little bit. You enjoyed the feeling, the attention you were getting. It felt comforting and like home. A soft whisper broke the comforting silence carrying you slowly out of the trance state you were in. „It’s time to wake up darling. You’re going to be late.“ you muttered not wanting to wake up, only responding by snuggling more into the body right infront of you. A chuckle escaped the lips before you and soft kisses were placed on your head. „Baby…come on.“ you could hear San saying while stroking your cheek softly. You opened your eyes only to look into these beautiful orbs which were looking at you with so much warmth and love that you didn’t want to get up at all. Staying home and being in the arms of the men you loved sounded so much more appealing then anything else. Again you closed your eyes cuddling against him. „Just 5 more minutes…“ you mumbled slowly drifting away. You would cancel your plans with the others after all. The last thing You heard was the soft laugh and the vibration of his chest before falling asleep.
You opened your eyes, they were heavy and swollen. The Fireplace didn’t crackle this time, it wasn’t even on. Since that day it never really went back on, to much memories came with the sound and the warmth of the fire. You cuddled more into the blankets trying to get at least some warmth. It was colder these days, the days got darker and so got the whole apartment. After he left, you couldn’t bring yourself to do anything, to much pain would come up to much memories would fly around in your head only reminding you of what happened.
„I’m so sorry….I don’t know how to say this.“
„Say what? What happened?“
„What’s up with him is he alright?“
„We…we were doing some last touch ups on the practice and… .“ you could hear the voice on the other side cracking.
„Hongjoong what happened?!“ you were now up and very confused as worried.
„San…he…he got hit by a car.“
Tears formed in my eyes as you remembered that exact phonecall with Hongjoong. You closed your eyes pushing the tears out. The room only filled with the sounds of the painful cries you let out. It felt cold and there was nothing you wished more for then him being here with you again.
„Only 5 more minutes….“ you mumbled to yourself as you drifted back into sleep, feeling the world around you get even darker, knowing the warmth will never return.
