Your greys are starting to fade your rich black
Your hands are all shivering from the letters you receive blank
Or was it because your caffeine addiction that started at ripe 14?
Ah yes, all the time you spent on trying to find the best coffee that gave you the kickย
To drown your tear stains that kept you up all night ever since you were a kid
We know that feeling too familiar, don't we
Your head filled with pain yet so emptyย
So much so that your eyes had to remove the agony from its visionย
When did all the yelling start in your head?
Was it when your father started all the yelling! or was it when your classmates were yelling to assert their dominance?
Was it when your professors yelled at you for the mistakes you made and didn't makeย
Or was it when your brain yelled at you to stay awakeย
All that yelling, my dear and still you cry everytime someone raises their voice
Look what names our tears gave us,ย
Sheltered, sensitive, inexperienced
How much more experience would satisfy mankind?
Isn't the greys enough? Isn't the shivering hands enough? Isn't the wrinkles you gave yourself from rubbing your eyes too hard not enough?ย
Your body tells you, you grew up too fast
Yet you would never consider yourself as someone as suchย
You'll always think someone has had it worse and someone would always be more mature than youย
And now what? Did that someone stay with you when you have to deal with your woundsย
Did that someone be with you, wiping your tears when you stayed up all night?
Did that someone stay with you when you burnt your own body?
That someone is trying to live their own life, proving to no one but their own body that they are understanding
They are trying to live, to breathe and to be happy
Yet you focus on staying in a box to make others happy
