Unrelated to Sonic but related to the PSA

Be wary of Augmented Reality Games in general, any game that uses your camera and GPS location can be used for AI training even without you knowing it.

I recently discovered this video that I highly suggest anyone to watch about how Pokemon Go did pretty much the same thing. They used millions of user data to build upon their AI training for other services. While people were out hunting for Pokemon they were essentially providing free training resources to its corporations.

I haven't played Pokemon Go in years but it makes me feel scummy that this is what they did with this game, I personally can't even support it anymore especially where that user info is going to in current day. I really hope that SEGA listens to the backlash from this and chooses not to take part in this ARG AI training and it doesn't become a similar situation, because its kinda fucked that this is trying to be a normalized as a byproduct of these AR experiences. So just be vigilant of the games you play and the apps that you download, read over some of the term and conditions (its boring I know) but in this digital age data is like a gold mine to big corporations. If its too go to be true, If you're not paying for the product, you are the product.
