tbh the IDW Transformers canon strongly implies that Wing has no friends? i like to think that if he had lived he and Drift both would have wound up leaving Crystal City and setting out on their own as gay space hippies just Trying To Do The Right Thing or whatever 

for real Drift runs into Wing for the first time and he’s like “are you an Autobot? are you a Decepticon? what are you” and Wing is straight up just like “i’m….lonely? haha”
