samanthawarrenâ:
sam was late - she was going to miss the performance she had completely forgotten about in favour of digging into how and why her ex-fiance Leo was back. Time had gotten away from her and she decided in heels was the best way to run like hell.Â
Rounding the corner she came face to face with agent clover and a gun. âjesus christ O!â she yelled her hands up in the air. âI scared the piss out of you! You just pulled a gun on me and now iâm going to be even more late.â she complained.Â
âOh Iâm sorry Sam!â She all but wailed in embarrassed guilt, a gloved hand coming up to press to her face in dismay. Glancing around the darkened streets as if they would provide something that would help the younger woman, she cringed. âThis mole business has me so jumpy!â And more besides, things that fell on executive command, but of course Sam couldnât know any of that.
If she were being honest with herself, she had been waiting for the younger woman to approach her, or someone else in command, demanding answers about the information that lead to that false judgement call in the case of her ex-fiance, and O had been trying to avoid her. Sheâd had little to do with that order, but she stood by the call that the organization had made, given the info they had at the time. âAre you walking? I could call a cab?â

something crept its way across valoâs face â maybe you could call it a smile , and maybe there was the slightest chance that you could even call it apologetic. regardless of the unspoken sorries , because valo was not someone who could spit out that word quite so easily , especially not for something she found so inconsequential , something glinted in her eye. like she really was waiting to be shot , the absolute terror that she was , morbidly curious over what her body could take before it gave out.
â  evening , maâam.  â offering her arm for odette to take , valo fell in step beside the older woman. â  you never answered your phone earlier.  â yes , even agent wren , horrid lurking shadow , could find it within her to show concern. tonight was a night of rarities , it would seem , as valo spoke again with a lighthearted taunt in her voice.
â  arenât you glad it was me , and not someone else , odette ?  â
âI must not have seen my phone.â O scowled without any real malice at the younger agent shoving her gun into the pocket of her outward side so that she could easily link arms, but still access her weapon if needed. Often when she was called upon to explain her attachment to the young girl despite her social oddities (which happened more than she thought it really should) she carefully explained that Valo was like an abused street cat that hadnât been very well socialized to people. You had to give her time, talk in soothing tones, and not sneak up on her- and even then she only really bonded with a few people. O liked to flatter herself to think that she was one of those, and now seemed to spend her time simultaneously urging Valo to be nice to the other agents and urging the other agents to try to understand Valoâs blunt ways of speaking. It was occasionally exhausting, but damn if she wasnât fond of the other girl anyway.â
âIâm always glad to see you Valo,â O told the other woman warmly, tugging her so they were all but bumping hips as they walked. The hidden warning in Valoâs words werenât lost on her, but she elected to ignore it. âBecause even when you scare me on purpose and call me maâam to make me feel old, at least I can still huddle with you for warmth. You should come home with me, Iâm making homemade mac and cheese- I found a recipe, itâs like bacon pepper jack something? Iâm not quite sure, but itâs got a metric ton of cream cheese so I figure itâs got to be good.â
O sighed as she began the long walk to her apartment, huddling deeper into her long dress coat and wishing sheâd decided to wear pants instead of the skirt that left her knees down covered by nothing but sheer black stockings. It was dark, but she had grown up walking darker, scarier streets than the likes of Manhattan had to offer- and besides, she knew how to defend herself.
As if summoned by the thought, she heard the sound of someone running towards her from behind and she spun around, gun already out and trained between the (thankfully familiar) personâs eyes.
âHoly hell!â O hissed quietly, hitting the safety and tucking the tiny handgun back in her pocket. To her annoyance, the cockney English accent she tried very hard to conceal slipped through somewhat. âYou scared the piss out of me!â
agcntcerberusâ:
âIâd say fire me for negligence or something like that, but you and I both know itâs not that simple,â Lorenzo noted somewhat darkly, the tinge of humor still evident in his tone regardless of the nature of his quip. Odette was a saint for tolerating him. And something even better for possibly even liking him. âThe real question, O, is what can I make you for dinner tonight? Because youâre looking absolutely ravishing today.âÂ
âMorbid.â Odette said in amused tone, pulling a face. Of course everyone in the business knew what retirement tended to mean for agents, but it honestly didnât bother her much. Sheâd worked for as long as she could remember, she didnât know what sheâd do if she wasnât doing this. âBesides, even if I could actually fire you, I wouldnât. Youâd enjoy the downtime too much, then Iâd get jealous and quit, and then well, where would this place be honestly?â
Lorenzoâs next words made her pause, though externally she didnât so much as blink. Itâd been obvious to her for some time that Lorenzoâs interests were not quite platonic, but she hadnât quite decided whether she wanted to pursue things. Still, it sounded casual enough. Pretending to fan herself, she cooed playfully. âMake? You cook? Stop, I wonât be able to restrain myself anymore.â

âUhhhm â Sorry âbout that, I just zoned outâŚsuper hard.â
âWell good to know thereâs nothing new there.â Odette snorted, rolling her eyes fondly. What sheâd been talking about didnât really matter at the moment- merely minor details from a mission report sheâd been asked to convey to him at some point, and frankly she was no oneâs secretary. Tucking a lock of loose hair behind her ear she shook her head at her old friend and colleague. How anyone was intimidated by him was beyond her. âWhat are we going to do with you Agent Cerberus?â

     open starter;
The punching was already getting worn out. Loud thuds landed against rough fabric echoed throughout the gym. Rolandâs vision had been filled in with white, and his hits were harder with each impact. The entrance behind him didnât pull his focus away until he turned to remove the bag off its hook. âCongratulations, Agent â-â He started and hastily tossed the bag to the side. Roland made it look like it was a beach ball. âYouâve mastered the art of furtiveness. Did you need something?â
With a huffed sigh, Odette waggled a thick stack of papers over her head, a annoyed scowl on her face. âMore goddamn paperwork!â She exclaimed, having only finally escaped the encroaching tower on her own desk. If she had her choice, sheâd much rather be in the field, so the forms she needed to look up and sign tended to accumulate. âI swear to god, are we not an international spy agency? Why is there so much paperwork? Are we just making things for other agents to shred later?â
I was working on an intro but then tumblr ate it so fuck it itâs coming later. For now this is O, sheâs sass incarnate from London and I love her. Sheâs executive command and used to be on clean up crew so hmu if you want to plot with her

Odette Moodboard (1/?)
âWith a smile on her lips and a sparkle in her eyes, she had a gift of making you feel both uneasy and right at home. As warm as a summer day one minute, cold as a queen the next. Those who loved her loved her dearly, those who hated her did so with a vengeance- there was no in between. It gave her an edge of danger, as if you could never quite guess what she would do next. People flocked to her, and with good reason.â
