An abstract alphabet I did for JosĂŠ Quintanar's workshop. These seemingly random shapes actually have a strict grid underneath. It works like a game where each player (if following the grid and rules provided) ends up having his own version of this very lovable and curvy ABC. By the way, it says LOVE HANDLES on the second poster.Â
My contribution to an illustration zine ISLANDS.
EXHIBITION "BRUISED AND CONFUSEDâ
Solo show âBruised and Confusedâ by the young artist Agate LielpeĚtere is a story about living to the maximum within the youth and their relationship with the aesthetics of bruises.
Hurrying and ignoring the details, which seem to suit adolescence so much, often results in a fall, contusion or abrasion. A bruise that adorns skin of the âfallenâ becomes a witness of one time, a symbol and physical evidence of it. With time the bruise, as well as the youth passes, however, printed on paper it can be retained and exist for hundreds of years.
The exhibition consists of a series of prints about bruises and portraits of their âownersâ. Each work is given a name of a real person â a friend of the artist â and at the show, it serves as a reminder of how easily bruises can be impersonated.
Printed works will be complemented by a sculptural object â âBruise Making Machineâ â a bronze casting of the artistâs tooth-print. Those visitors of the exhibition who are not afraid to get bitten were able to get a bruise in a form of the artistâs bite marks, taking a part of the exhibition along with them, when they leave.
Little volunteer work I did for my friends at KIM? Contemporary Art Center. Illustrations for a fundraiser they had to raise money for artsy activities for the kids and elderly.Â

Children's picture book âThe Perfect Pictureâ I made a while ago for the Latvian stand at the Bologna Childrenâs Book Fair
Comic report on âKIM? X Opening: Three exhibitionsâ for KIM? Creative Art Centre
ADVICE JOURNAL "HOW TO SURVIVE THE CITY." Cities are full of cockroaches, homeless people, pigeons with missing fingers and teenage girls taking pictures with Starbucks paper cups. It can get troubling and hard to handle all these triggering events, but there is however a way to survive the city. "How to survive the city." is an advice journal by the greatest life-coach Agate LielpÄtere (me), that teaches how to achieve it. It contains photographs and illustrations, helping percept the textual content. Covers are made out of hard see trough plastic covered with perforated vinyl imitating public transportation windows (covered in advertisements). Book also contains pop-up spreads and is bookbinded in Coptic style.
"KIMOJI" emoji I did for KIM? Contemporary Art Centre educational program "Young Kim".
Label illustrations/design I did for Very Berry functional drink line.

ZINE "THE ORDER OF THINGS"
THE ORDER OF THINGS is a comic based on a fictional story. It is a short graphic novel about a middle-of-the-road, one-of-a-kind man, who likes hats, guns, and hunting, but hates people. Every year when the new year's eve is approaching he chooses strange people from the phone book randomly and mails them a postcard revealing the most interesting events of the past year. He is extraordinary. The comic book is hand-drawn with felt-tip pens, printed digitally.
SOLO SHOW "A.K.A." AT GALLERY LOW
Exhibition A.K.A. (Also Known As) took place at 15.08.2017 - 22.08.2017 in gallery "LOW", Riga. With a comic "As Good As Aladdin" beeing at the center of the exhibition, the idea was to reflect the problem of how becoming the face of a brand can overshadow one's personality and stand in the way of pursuing dreams. Exposition consisted of a risograph print comic, series of three two-color silkscreen prints, two carpets and a dirtbag from my own vacuum cleaner (containing my hair, DNA and secrets).
Comic report on Baltic Triennal '13Â âGive Up The Ghostâ for KIM? Creative Art CentreÂ
Illustration of King Krule I did for So Young magazine (issue #18)
Nike x Benji Knewman contest 2019 in Zuzeum, Riga. Task: To transform a basic Nike t-shirt in a way that would send a message to a future museum. My entry: Fossilised Nike t-shirt with a dino silkscreen print on the back. Guess what the cavemen wore... I was also an archeologist that day. And also the winner!Â
