Geometry gives you the depth and understanding of what is behind just numbers and symbols. It's like the meaning underneath everything.

Like wow imagine you enter someone's mind palace and see everything and understand why they are the way they are.

And algebra? Algebra is like them just talking at you.

Linguistically it's just grammar syntax no connotation no nuance no meaning detected. I am not listening I already dozed off I'm sorry.

Mathematically it's just rote problem solving and symbol manipulation. Like turning your brain off when you drive and not noticing the scenery on the way there. Empty.

As a child I hated math actually. I wanted to get it over with and I actually preferred algebra over geometry because I did not care what it looked like I wanted the formulas the manipulations the way to just compute it and get it over with. I was impatient.

It's only now by willingly sitting with it being more patient with it that I'm starting to see how beautiful it all is. Algebra without the geometric structure feels painful to me because it holds no meaning and I can't understand what the symbols are trying to say. Like reading a book and only reading the words not taking the time to understand the characters and their dynamics.
