I’m not conventionally attractive (thin) and I’m intorverted. So I’m basically invisible.

I genuinely think that it’s because of my skintone. I feel like if I was lighter I would have a line of men waiting to date me. Nobody really ever pursues me. Black guys pay me zero attention unless its catcalls, unwarranted attention or they are extremely sexually forward. And it seems like non-black guys are scared to talk to me or approach me. I’m usually the one making the first move or putting in the most effort just to get let down. I’m also a “late bloomer” so I don’t have much experience with guys and that also seems to be a turn-off.

I can feel where she’s coming from. Even being a late bloomer. As for me after 8 months I realized I have to focus on being alone to get everything I desire. I have a lot to unpack about myself before I can be an amazing friend or significant other. Not accepting the bare minimum no matter the race. I went on a tinder date with this white guy and I was very forward about what I wanted. But with black guys I accepted so much bs. Never again. My fowardness is rated E for everyone now.

Okay but I really do not understand this trend of throwing people away like damn. Why does everyone act like trying to preserve a relationship that is important to you but changing how it operates is inherantly a bad idea? Are y'all just swimming in deep connections and full understanding from other people to the point that trashing those relationships means nothing? What's wrong with being friends with an ex so years of friendship don't go down the toilet?
