Just finished watching The Odyssey. Pretty good; the accuracy to the actual story (at least the translation I read) was pretty close. Only a few pieces that bothered me.
(I swear I'm not crazy when I say I heard the three beats of "just a man" during the film.)

I just wanna say that your owain fanfic is super awesome and probably one of the best characterizations of him!! Thank you for writing it!

Thinking about the pronunciation of Owain's name and how many members of the kingdom just never said it right. Also thinking about how Owain never really corrected them either.
It's like he doesn't think he deserves the name Arthur gave him.
Also considering in the final episode where he talks with Cherri and only quietly "corrects" her after she's practically out of earshot. Like he's trying to learn to accept himself, but doesn't put in the full effort yet.
I have so many thoughts.
I have so many thought about Owain and his names. I think as a kid Mordred got into his head about having to earn his name because of the “significant” meaning behind it (the only person that cares that much was Mordred.) He wasn’t truly noble after all, so he needed to work twice as hard to earn such a name. When he got to Bannerfall, Owain felt as though he had truly disgraced Arthur and now could never earn such a name so why bother trying to correct people that got it wrong. They could rename him to an insult or something like “failure” and he would deserve it, after all.
Awww- The poor guy. It's upsetting how much sense that makes. (Booooooo- Mordred. Bleeegghhh.)
Owainbow is still funny, though. (Except for the fact that if you look into the context it kinda belittles him, especially when Owain does correct them because it doesn't actually work with the correct pronunciation, but then they keep saying it.)
Imagine KotRT rolling up and eventually someone mispronounces Owain and one of them is just like “why are you calling him that? That’s not his name. Say it right or not at all.” Then whoever mispronounced it has to explain that Owain doesn’t mind. They ask Owain and he’s the most embarrassed his kingdom has ever seen him, mumbling like “Well… I don’t… like it.”

Just DMed my first D&D campaign. It went even better than I could have possibly hoped for. The players have such good character dynamics, and akshhsjjabs-
It's mostly an improv game for me to get better at improv in general, and because I love storytelling.

Do I make it accurate and force Owain to hold his Zweihander with two hands, or is he just "like that" and gets to hold it with one hand? (Like a cretin.)
