When I first got Jiji, any time he fed off me (unless I was sleeping) I would call it "eating" and make comments about him being hungry, asking if it tasted good, etc. I said it kind of jokingly and to help myself get used to it - because even if I liked and encouraged it, its still an unusual an unusual and kind of intimate thing to get used to?

Jiji obviously could feel nervousness (again, sensating negative emotions is kind of a shuppet's whole deal so idk what kid me thought they were doing trying to hide it), so in what I later realized was an attempt to get me to relax, he started pretending to eat. Like a whole exaggerated "aaaaaaaahm" and chewing with puffed-up cheeks.

I gave such a loud surprised laugh the first time it shocked us both, but then I started laughing for real at myself, and Jiji started laughing more too, and now years and years later he still does it to help cheer me up when I'm down 💜

like any other move, leech seed's primary effect on an opposing pokemon works by interacting with a pokemon's life energy! the "seed" is called that because visually it does look a bit like a seed taking root, but at the end of the day it's visible energy.

leech seed has what we call a persistent energy effect, which is what causes it to last until interrupted. because it requires no active upkeep from the pokemon that uses it, if that pokemon gets too far away from the target, the energy will just latch onto the next closest pokemon until the leech seed ends. it's not the only move with this persistence, and the effect can also be replicated using baton pass, so it's not unheard of in other moves.

As for what a UB is, well, theyre beings from a different time/dimension that got introduced to our world (mostly by accident) by natural and non-natural stressors in space time. Often after that universe' Necrozma or being of light requires a significant amount of energy to recharge. Since it causes stress in space time it is often seen as a wormhole of sorts, which CAN be the case but isnt necessarily.

For those that haven't been following my blog you wouldn't know about the Equirexians who are one of the native groups of Vianna which is now known as Galar. I am Equirexian, and I would like to share some things about the equine pokemon that are near and dear to my culture and religion.

Above are some photos from the pokedex, showcasing the Equirexian Mudsdale line and the Equirexian Rapidash line! Both of which are bred to resemble Calyrex's steeds also known as Glastrier and Spectrier as a way for us to feel closer to them.

Which meant Mudsdale ended up taking on the Ice typing and Rapidash took on the Ghost typing.

Equirexian Rapidash is actually one of the parent breeds to the Ballonlea Rapidash which is the Psychic/Fairy Rapidash people tend to think of when the breed family of Galarian Rapidash is mentioned.

They were also bred for life in the Crowned Tundra which resulted in rather thick and soft coats. The mane of Mudsdale is of note due to the fact that the ice from it's mane travels all the way down it's nose! Rapidash and Ponyta's manes are also quite interesting due to the fact the upper half of it is solid while the lower half is not and will instead pass through whatever touches it.

Poipole will honestly eat anything that they can considering they are omnivorous. But, with that being said, they are notoriously fond of sweet things. Especially fruit and nectar. Wild or not, they will often go out of their way to gather as much of it as they can to share amongst a hive, or most likely, gorge upon it themselves.

He told me how Absols are naturally able to sense incoming disasters and try to warn others of them, but across history they’ve always been seen as the cause behind said disasters. And they’ve suffered cause of that misconception.

I don’t get how stories like these can exist in the world and people still insist there’s nothing wrong about humans and Pokémon living in close proximity. Even the ones that genuinely try to help their sorry asses, without the need for Pokéballs, get the short end of the stick.

…Well. All that aside, I was permitted to go see it in the infirmary. It’s been… surprisingly relaxed since it got here. Hasn’t lashed out, doesn’t seem worried about all the people prodding at its injury. Wonder if it understands we’re trying to help? It’s taken to my brother, I think.

Second, I have two related questions:

1. Does evolution affect a pokemon's lifespan?

2. What is the typical life expectancy of Ivysaur? I've had mine for 22 years. He's generally in excellent health, but I've noticed lately that he's had less energy, and I was wondering if he could just be getting old.

1). Sometimes evolution can affect lifespan. Feebas live around 20-25 years but if they evolve into Milotic, that lifespan extends to 90-100 years

Quadrupedal and bird pokemon cannot easily open doors and drawers. Tie rope to handles so they can pull them open instead.

Smaller pokemon cannot reach the tops of counters and tables. Having step-ladders and stools on hand allow them to reach better.

1. How rare is it to find an alcremie in the wild or somewhere that has nothing to do with sweets?

2. Is it possible to find a falinks alone?

3. How do the frillish line survive out of water?

4. Does absol still have a bad reputation?

1). Pretty rare. They're mostly found in urban areas and have been very heavily domeaticated by humans. Since their primary food is sweets, they're always around sweets.

2). Yes. Sometimes they may get lost or cast out of their group

3). They store water in their gills which they use to breathe when they're out of water

There are some worlds that are fit for agriculture and some that are not.
