Catching Up || Ansel & Madison

Madison was grateful to have made more good friends in the past year, for a while it had felt like most of her friendships were the kind where they’d only seemed to be friends to gain from one another and not to actually be friends because they cared about one another. The past year had been good to her though, she’d met Cindy and the rest of their friend group and Ansel, all people who had quickly become some of her best friends. It was nice having someone to talk to that you could trust wouldn’t go out and spread your business everywhere else, she knew she could trust Ansel with whatever she told him.
She wore a white tank top and a pair of jean shorts with a white hoodie wrapped around her waist, something she could be comfortable in out and about. She gave him a huge grin when she saw him, giving him a tight hug. “Hey!” she said taking the seat across from her. “I’m starving!” she giggled. “This was a great suggestion! I haven’t been here in forever.”
The last few months had been some of the best Ansel'd had in a long time, and with it had come a lot of people who'd grown to be incredibly important to him because their friendships were built on the basis of genuine mutual trust and understanding. He knew neither of them were any stranger to being papped but he also wasn't particularly a fan of it when they were just hanging out and catching up as friends. He'd experienced so many unnecessary pap walks with his ex, and he definitely didn't like doing them with people who were strictly platonic to him because it made things feel so in organic, so he'd specifically picked a place where they'd be unlikely to be found and he'd made a point not to tell his manager, publicist or anyone on his professional team where he was going.
"Me neither! Been abusing Postmates way too much recently." He admitted, "It's good to get out, good to see you!" He told her as they pulled apart, letting her walk ahead of them as the hostess lead them to their booth and gave them each a menu after they had a seat, taking their drink order, (Ansel asked for diet coke). "How've you been?" He asked when it was just the two of them again.

“Oh they haven’t performed yet, they will start rehearsal next week so you know, if you want to crash in, just give me a call and I’ll wait you outside, we have to get extra security for rehearsals lately, they are performing april 13, are you a big fan right? “Oh thank god I didn’t miss that, those boys would’ve given me endless shit if I’d have had to cop to that, I would have been forcibly removed from my rank in the BTS army. Oh yeah, they’re really incredible guys, you’re gonna love working with them. Such huge personalities.”

Catching Up || Ansel & Madison
Ansel was looking forward to spending some time catching up with Madison following their plans to meet up for burgers. Since Adele’s housewarming party they’d really started to cultivate a closer friendship where they could talk to each other about what was going on in their lives, namely their romantic lives, and he liked that it was always give and take and never just one person venting at the other while they listened. So many friendships in Hollywood to him just felt so surface level, but hers felt genuine, she never came off to him like she was just pretending- or worse, that they were only friends so they could gain by been seen with one another, as he’d felt with a number of people in the past.
He was a few minutes early from the time they agreed to meet at Johnny Rocket’s but that was because he’d been taught that it was always better to be eager an early than to be rude and late. When he saw her walking up he smiled, telling the hostess (who’d already recognized him but wasn’t making a thing of it) that it would be for two. “Hey!” He greeted her, opening his arms for a hug.

FACETIME | Ansel + Taylor.
Taylor: smiled softly at the suggestion that the cast would lose their shit to see her in the audience, and then even moreso when the realization kicked in that he wanted to see her again, because that sounded really sweet. "I would love that, and I think I'd love it even more going with you," she wasn't scared to admit to him, trying to hold eye contact through the camera as best she could. But by trying, it just made her more sad that they were being reduced to having to communicate this way at all. Distance sucks. "If I blow your mind exactly like that, then I'd of done something right. Hey, someone wants to say hi," she said, reaching down to pluck up a cat from by her feet, showing a half-asleep Olivia into the camera. "Hey Dibbles, say hey," Taylor prompted before wiggling her paw in a small hello.
Ansel: "Awesome! Let me know the next time you're gonna be in the city and we'll definitely go, I'll get us some awesome seats. It's a date." Ansel said with confidence, also doing what he could to maintain eye contact with his camera. Even though they were so far away, he definitely felt close to her in that moment, and that was something he appreciated given how much he'd missed her. But in the back of his mind he was still just thinking about how much he wanted to be actually, physically close to her. "Aww, little 'Livia! My best friend! I miss /you/ too!" He told the cat once Taylor lifted her to say hello, laughing at the way she had her wave her paw. "Bet they're /very/ proud of you for being part of a project that represents them so well, huh?" He joked, "I can't wait to see you both." He added on in earnest.
