But he secretly wonders if the generated warmth came from the golden sun itself, or his equally radiant companion. The Aegir's rigid stance slackens, shoulders drooping as a gentle spring breeze tousled his tresses. Soleil invited him on another impromptu excursion through carmine-hued Windwheel Asters and rolling hills of perpetual green. Did she sense his nostalgia? Lumen ruminates the possibility in his head, before dismissing the notion entirely. She knows his name. Knows that he's an outsider from a foreign land with an affinity for the sea. Jordi Fontanarossa is less than human.

Soleil hasn't questioned him. And he wonders if she ever will.

❝ Eh...? ❞ Her query took him aback. Golden irises shifted in Soleil's direction, his gaze meeting hers. A diminutive frown mars his visage, brows knitted in a contemplative manner. How sudden. He wonders what sparked the question out of the blue. Was it possible that loneliness clung to her like a heavy shroud? Maybe... she enjoyed his company? The thought made his heart beat faster.

❝ Doña....❞ Jordi's expression softens, eyes reflecting the sun's warmth within.

you've spent so long taking care of others, you don't know what to do with yourself if you aren't. you probably suck at taking care of yourself though, maybe you feel like you aren't worthy or deserving. but deep down, i know you wish to be cared for too. you want someone to show you that you are worth even just half the effort you put into caring for other people. dont neglect yourself.
