… Long Overdue Update

I have been finding it very hard to find the right words to say regarding my update. Last we heard I had just been to the Mayo Clinic and I left somewhat defeated without any diagnosis. My neurologist left his practice, and I was once again in limbo without a doctor and on medications that don’t help me when I am having symptoms.

QUICK UPDATE…

I have been pretty silent lately because life has been relatively easy going. Not too many rocky moments, and I have been able to spend loads of quality time with my family and friends. Those are the moments in life I tend to take for granted. But here I am today in one of the worst flares in a while crying every hour over the smell of broccoli 🤣🤷‍♀️.

Post Lumbar Puncture Headache

Closing out my time in Arizona we had a layover flight from Phoenix to Denver and then Devner to OKC. The entire day I was complaining of my head throbbing and having an uncontroable pain. I would take Tylenol and Ibuprofen with no relief. I had some strong medication I had to eventually take or else I wouldn’t have made it through the next 8 hours. Day 10: Audiology Balance Test

Day 10 was an exciting day, knowing that I would get home and see my kids the next day. I only had one more test, and I wasn’t quite sure what expect, but there were multiple stipulations for this test. I had to stop any sleeping aid medications, any allergy medications, no alcohol for 24 hours, and no food or drink 2 hours before the test. They also require me to have a driver due to the dizzy…

On Day 3 in Scottsdale, AZ, I woke up nervous and excited. I didn’t know what to expect of the day and the test I was going to happen later in the day. "Sorry, I'm so sorry" - This is a statement I find myself saying this multiple times daily. I've gotta say this is one of my greatest strength but also one of my biggest weaknesses. If this sounds like you too, just know you aren't alone.

When someone asks me what my greatest strengths and biggest weakness are in life my response would always be my use of the word “sorry”. It might not mean much to you when thinking about saying it. But to me, it is a word that most times will come out of my mouth 20+ times in a day. A lot of times I find myself over apologizing for things that are out of my control such as the examples below.
