Beautiful Lies

“ Oh don’t worry, the only reason why POWER and I got so ‘ strong ’ in the first place is because we were fighting and struggling so often, that’s not a reason to be jealous ! I wonder how it is, to have all these emotions! ”

                                                                                             From the emotions , LIFE was probably the most human out of all of them, not that it was surprising, she did make humans , creating every single one of them alongside their FLAWS and STRENGTHS . The only emotions Death could feel were happiness ; irritation ; anger and LOVE . Jealousy was a mystery to him. Especially lust .

             “ i definitely PREFER my emotions to that strength -- though they tend to get out of control sometimes. i wouldn’t give them up for ANYTHING. they connect me to my darling CREATIONS. “

     the words were spoken in a warm tone. while she often wished she could be STRONGER, she undestood that to be so would mean forgoing some of the emotions she LOVED so dearly. it was hard to even IMAGINE not understanding -- not FEELING -- these emotions she knew so well, like most of the other concepts. but at least she KNEW death could BEGIN to understand.

“I wouldn’t know who you are anyway. I’m not overly familiar with the people Dad once knew so as I know who you are by what you are I don’t know you. So please excuse me if I seem rude because I have a mission I have to get to.”

He was just assigned a new mission. His father’s higher up  meister ended up failing their mission and now he was called to complete it.

“It was nice to meet you and everything. But I have to gather  my friends and leave right away.”

        life’s face fell SLIGHTLY at his rather brusque note of departure -- though the cogs in her mind moved RAPIDLY. it was obvious death had not been lying in his description of his son -- and she could NOT help the desire to learn more about him. perhaps there was SOMETHING she could do. 

                  “ really? you HAVE to go?

           hm . . . maybe i could go WITH. i’m sure i could help. “

      after all -- even if her physcial power was lower than death’s, she still EXCELLED at healing. and she DID have some fighting ability. the more she thought of it, the more EXCITED she became. 

                   “ it’s just death’s super busy  --

“ please just let me forget. ”

“ c'mon try to guess what. ”

“ just leave me alone already. ”

“ no, i’m not going to. ”

“ you can’t change my mind. ”

“ the view really is spectacular. ”

“ i didn’t think you’d care. ”

“ why can’t you trust me? ”

“ don’t even bother with clothes. ”

“ i don’t love you anymore. ”

“ i am a great person. ”

“ you are a tolerable drunk. ”

“ exactly, why are you awake? ”

“ i’m gonna ignore you now. ”

“ how is that not hilarious? ”

“ please just calm down now. ” 

“ i was already calm, asshole. ”

“ i can see your underwear. ”

“ i’m afraid you’ll replace me. ”

“ please stop losing your temper. ”

“ you can cry if needed. ”

“ you have to run away. ”

“ i just wanna be yours. ”

“ ashes, we all fall down. ”

“ Don’t feel down because of him, you have great strength ! Not to mention, you’re free to go, while Power got himself locked in a book because he made a deal with the wrong human ! ”

                                                                                                  Death was at least free to wander around Death City and talk to humans, sometimes even fight when a Kishin / Witch was foolish enough to go into his city to attack him personally . POWER on the other hand was locked up in a book with a human appearing every 10 years if he was lucky . He wouldn’t trade with the other great one. 

       “ you’re right. it’s STUPID to be jealous of power -- sometimes i just find myself lost in JEALOUSY from time to time. you know how i get. “

        she scratched at the back of her head with a SHEEPISH grin before smiling in a much more genuine way once more. she COULD go on and on about past adventures and the JOY that each and every one brought to her heart. the past may have been rocky at TIMES but it also held so much BEAUTY.
