Semi-Hiatus

Zack threaded his fingers through Ichigos and let his other arm slid around his waist to pull him close. “They can need you to fight all they want. You can be a god on high. It doesn’t fucking matter, you still deserve to be cherished. You’re a very precious person, and some should be looking out for you just as uch as you look out for everyone else.”

He greatly enjoyed being this close to Zack and nuzzled the man’s neck to try and calm him down. While it was nice to be protected, Ichigo felt it was fine. He was used to protecting people. “I’m alright, Zack. There’s nothing wrong with me, I’m right here, aren’t I? Besides, I’m protecting myself as much as I’m protecting them.”

Zack nuzzled that orange hair he was so fond of and sighed. “You’re here, but you’re not alright. Your self worth is so tied to whether or not you can protect people that it’s unhealthy and will hurt you. It will give people openings to hurt you even worse. And don’t give me that, you get yourself beaten up all the time while you wait to figure out your opponent’s moves.”

He stroked a thumb over Ichigo’s cheek. “I’m not comparing losses, I’m saying we’ve had them and they both sucked. That’s exactly why people should be standing beside you no matter what- all warriors have been to that awful place. And to disreard you just because you can’t do everything at once like they want is a dishonor on everything you have done for them.”

He put his hand on Zack’s, trying to soothe him a bit. “Zack, really, I’m fine. They need me to fight for them, it’s not something that’s too awful and it’ll be okay. As long as I’m able to fight, it’s fine. I don’t know why I’m as strong as I am, but as long as there’s someone threatening Soul Society and Earth, I’ll be there to take them out.”

“Look, I know you feel like you have to protect everyone, but you just can’t do that. You’re only human Ichigo, and humans just can’t do everything. I tried that once, and you’ve seen what I lost because of it. You’ve lived through even greater loss than that! Step back a little, take care of yourself for once. You deserve a little leeway.”

He should have seen this conversation coming between them. “Comparing our losses doesn’t make yours less than mine. I got mine back but you didn’t. Trust me, Zack, I’m okay. I get time to just sit around and relax, it’s just… things happen in a huge cluster.”

As someone who is poly, there is very little representation of my relationship structure in media/RP, and that’s sort of frustrating. I would like to find more people to rp this type of relationship with.

The brunet sighed, shaking his head quietly. “I still feel like my memories aren’t entirely lining up properly. Or rather, that they are still fuzzy.” He admitted quietly. “I still remember the things before Aqua, Ven and I went missing but after that is… a giant blur.” 

“It’s okay Terra!” Zack gently draped an arm over his friend’s shoulders. “If you’re memories aren’t there, it’s probably for a good reason. They’ll come back eventually, and even if they don’t! That’s okay to! Whatever else, we’ll find Aqua and Ven and then we’ll get the rest of the story from them.”
