𝓢ynopsis : After Annabeth drags an injured Percy Jackso to the apollo cabjn the daughter of apollo is assigned to patch him up they have barely spoken b4, but it’s hard to focus on bandages when u keep finding urself staring and Percy keeps catching u staring

𝓐.N : Sorry for not posting in a while but I’m not sick anymore guys and we won !! I wanted to do daughter of Apollo bc the first person who had voted in the poll had chose Apollo and I lowk felt bad and u guys made a tie between 3 demigods : Aphrodite , Hades , and Athena I may make the hades 1 a series but I have had my Percy Jackson fanfics set for dates so they r gonna come day by day now. The infirmary was usually quiet.

Not silent tho there was always the rustle of ambrosia wrappers,, the clink noises of nectar bottles, or 1 of the Apollo children humming but it was still peaceful enough.

Until the doors slammed open.

“Move,!”

Annabeth Chas yelled while marching in with Percy Jackson who was leaning heavily against her shoulder. His camp shirt had a torn sleeve and a fresh bruise was running across his ribs

“I’m telling you annabeth” Percy groaned “it’s literally just a scratch!”

“It’s bleeding through your shirt.”

“It builds character.”

“It builds infections Percy.”

From behind the medicine cabine u looked up trying very hard not to look too startled.

“Put him on the cot,” u said, already reaching for clean bandages

Annabeth helped Percy sit down before giving him 1 last pointed glare.

“Don’t argue with the healer.

“I wasn’t planning to.”

“You always plan to.”

She disappeared before he could defend himself.

The infirmary settled into silence.

U washed ur hands gathering supplies u have treated campers a lot of times before broken bones, arrow wounds, poison ivy incidents, and wtv the Stoll brothers managed to invent every week. Hell u even treated the campers during the battle of manhattan

But somehow…

Ur hands felt slightlyyy less steady today.

Because Percy Jackson was sitting 3 ft away.

The Percy Jackson.

Hero of Olympus, Son Of Poseidon, the guy somehow everybody in camo had some story about.

U have spoken to him before.. once.. maybe twice.

The once was a time he had asked where the dining pavilion was after getting back from a quest.

The 2nd time when he had apologized after accidentally splashing u during canoe practice.

That was it.

Now he was watching you

“So..” Percy said

“So”

“I have never actually caught your name before”

You blinked pretending to act shocked and confused

“You haven’t?”

He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.

“I mean… I’ve heard it. I’m just really.terrible with names.”

You smiled despite yourself

“Y/N.”

“Right.”

He nodded as if committing to memory

“y/n.”

U gently peeled back the blood soaked fabric around his side.

“This might sting.”

“I’ve been stabbed before.”

“…Congratulations I guess…?”

“Gods I don’t know why I said that.”

A laugh escaped h b4 u could stop it.

Percy’s grin widened

There it is.

He had been secretly hoping to make u laugh

U dabbed some nectar around the wound very gently and carefully

He didn’t even flinch

Ur focus stayed on the injury.

Mostly.

Okay.

Not.. entirely

Every few seconds ur eyes betrayed u

Js some quick glances

The blue eyes.

The dirty blonde messy hair

The tiny scar along his jaw

Then u had snapped ur attention back to the bandages

Surely he hadn’t noticed

..right?

“You keep looking at me.”

Ur hands froze.

“..W-What?”

Percy’s voice wasn’t teasing

Just.. curious?

You keep glancing over.”

Heat rushed straight to your face.

“I-“

“No No, it’s okay!” he said quickly. “I was just wondering if I had dirt on my face.”

U stared at him

“U r bleeding.”

“Right.”

“…Quiet slot.”

“So that’s most likely it.”

U laughed again a bit louder than b4

“No.”

“No?”

U hesitated then sighed

“I just..”

Gods.

This was embarrassing.

“I have heard about you for years”

Percy looked up a bit confused

“Really?”

“Ur making it sound surprising”

“Kinda is.”

“U have saved Olympus.”

“Yeah..”

“You fought titans”

“Once.”

“Disappeared for months.”

“Twice.”

“So.. yk u kinda became famous even more after ppl finding out u r a child of the big 3”

“…I haven’t think of it like that…”

“Everyone else does.”

Silence settled between you 2

U finished wrapping the bandage around his ribs.

“There.”

Youu tied it off neatly.

“You’ll live.”

“Glad to hear it.”

U stepped back.

Completely ignoring the fact that your heart had been doing cartwheels for the last ten minutes.

Percy watched you gather supplies.

“U know…

You looked over.

“I have heard bout u b4 as well.”

Ur eyebrows lifted.

“U have?”

“The Apollo cabin says ur the one everyone comes to.”

“For injuries?”

“For everything.”

He shrugged.

“They trust you.”

U didn’t know what to say.

No one ever talked about you.

Heroes got stories.

Healers just cleaned up afterward.

Percy hopped off the cot.

“Try not to reopen the wound.”

“I’ll do my best maam.”

“You say that like ur already planning something.”

“I wasn’t…”

A pause.

“…until now.”

U gave him a look.

He laughed.

“Okay, okay. No fighting monsters for at least…”

He looked at the ceiling thoughtfully.

“…6 hours.”

“You are impossible.”

So I have been told.”

He headed for the door before stopping.

Turning back.

“So…”

“So?”

“Maybe next time we talk..”

He smiled.

“…it doesn’t have to be because I’m bleeding.”

B4 you could answer

He was already gone.

3 days later, Percy walked into the infirmary w absolutely NO injury’s at all .

“I brought blue cookies.”

U looked up

“…Why…?”

He shrugged

“I mean i did tell u it would be nice if I visited without bleeding.”

A tiny smile escaped before you could stop it.

“U did say that.”

“So…”

He set the tin on the table.

“I figured I’d start making it a habit.”

Outside, someone shouted that Percy was needed at sword practice.

He ignored them.

For another minute, anyway.

And somehow…
