وَالضُّحٰی

By the morning brightness

وَالَّیۡلِ اِذَا سَجٰی

and by the night when it grows still

مَا وَدَّعَکَ رَبُّکَ وَمَا قَلٰی

your Lord has not forsaken you, nor does He hate you

وَلَلۡاٰخِرَۃُ خَیۡرٌ لَّکَ مِنَ الۡاُوۡلٰی

and the future will be better for you than the past

وَلَسَوۡفَ یُعۡطِیۡکَ رَبُّکَ فَتَرۡضٰی

And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.

اَلَمۡ یَجِدۡکَ یَتِیۡمًا فَاٰوٰی

Did He not find you an orphan and shelter you?

وَوَجَدَکَ ضَآلًّا فَہَدٰی

Did He not find you lost and guide you?

وَوَجَدَکَ عَآئِلًا فَاَغۡنٰی

Did He not find you in need and make you self-sufficient?

فَاَمَّا الۡیَتِیۡمَ فَلَا تَقۡہَرۡ

So do not be harsh with the orphan

وَاَمَّا السَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنۡہَرۡ

and do not chide the one who asks for help

وَاَمَّا بِنِعۡمَۃِ رَبِّکَ فَحَدِّثۡ

talk about the blessings of your Lord.
