hello! so, a week ago my job announced that they would be laying off all of the employees at the branch i work at. we thought we at least had a month left to figure out our situations, but i just received a call from my boss informing me that our last day of employment will be tomorrow.

leading up to this, all of our hours got cut drastically (basically in half) — not to mention that i missed an entire week of work while i was in the hospital / healing afterwards. luckily, i will get to claim unemployment starting next week while i look for another job, but it’ll take a little bit of time to start receiving payment from the state because nothing is ever quick.

all this to say: i’m financially hemorrhaging right now. on top of my usual bills, i now have a hefty emergency room bill heading my way — i’ve been laid off & of course, i have NOT received my second stimulus check from the government yet.

i know everyone is dealing with their own nightmare situations right now & i feel awful for having to do this, but mutual aid is my own resource to help make ends meet while i wait for my unemployment payments to come through.
