I have a few ideas for fics to write and I'd like some input! I have gotten a few requests and I'll finish those before I get to writing these potential fics

I do also intend to write some SMAU fics, just haven't really figured out my schedule with work and school. But I'll try!

Disclaimer: I wanted to use all of my fics to be a story (which I'll still do), but I decided to change Denji's story a bit to be less depressing for him. He deserves it. Also! Please give me recs that you want to see!

Makima:

At the beginning of your relationship, Makima will need some time to get used to a more genuine perspective on romance since her ideas are either directly ripped from movies or are things she’d do to manipulate people

Wanting this relationship to be a positive one (and taking initiative), she forced herself ignore everything she’s taught herself. This is where she’ll take on a new method of learning romance; watching people irl. She wouldn’t do this herself, she’d use rats and birds to observe couples in public for a more “appropriate” standard

She wouldn’t tell you this at first (why would she), but you would notice a few habits she’s suddenly picked up that don’t sit right with you, calling you nicknames that were never established, giving pda early on, etc.

You’re nosy as can be so you ask her (politely) why she’s being so weird (affectionately) with your relationship. Makima decides to be upfront and tells you everything to your utter bemusement. Luckily for her, you take it well

After that, the two of you discuss a bit more about relationships and what you’re comfortable with at the moment. Since Makima doesn’t really have a pace to go at (I mean look at her) so you both decide to follow your pace and things go smoothly, with Makima slowly feeling her life’s mission shifting away from chainsaw man and to someone else she can adore

Reze:

You and Reze go on your first official “date”, though you two haven’t quite admitted your feelings for each other. The two of you have eagerly wanted to get the chance to confess but nerves always got in the way. Not this time

It’s at the train station where the two of you meet before heading straight to the local mall. Reze isn’t on to buy a lot of things but she loves looking at different stores. While walking around, you find gacha machines and you both play it, earning keychains that you both keep as souvenirs

A few hours later, you’re dropping her off at her train station, finding the date to be the best time you’ve had since coming to Tokyo. Before you could say goodbye to her, she surprises you by giving you a kiss on the cheek right before waving goodbye and walking through the gate

The next day you visit her at work, same time as usual and Reze is waiting for you, a cup of your favorite coffee ready just for when you arrived. You two sit down together and that’s where you both confess to each other, her boss doing his best to watch without being noticed

From that point on, you and Reze spend almost every day together, you visiting her at work and her visiting you at home as you study. The two of you go on dates once a week and she always finds a way to gift you little trinkets for you to collect. Every time she gives them to you, the further away her mission becomes, and her life in Japan almost seems permanent ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Asa:

Being students, the two of you spend a decent amount of time studying, which mainly consisted of you visiting her at home and affectionately annoying her as you both did homework. You would often slow the process down so you have an excuse to have dinner with her, usually your treat

When it comes to planning dates, you’re the one who does the heavy lifting (though you never mind). To your surprise, Asa decides to surprise you by initiating, asking you to go to a museum with her (obviously you say yes)

You meet up at her apartment as usual and head to the museum. In Asa’s typical fashion, she talks a lot about the exhibits in the museum while you listen and ask her follow up questions. Occasionally, you throw in a joke question, causing Asa to sigh, though it’s with affection

Before leaving, you drag her to the gift shop while she watches you gush over the plushies and keychains. Grabbing matching couples plushies, you show them to her exclaiming, “This is us” to which Asa blushes again her will. Even if she isn’t very expressive about how she feels, you know she loves the plushies as she happily takes home one of them after you buy them.

As she makes it home and gets ready for bed, she reflects on the day and feels her love for you deepen. Lying down, she holds her couple plushie in her hands, feeling its softness. She thinks that it’s almost time to come clean about Yoru, you deserve to know the truth after all ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aki:

Having no relationship experience, Aki is surprisingly quite prepared for being with you. In the early days, he asks you about your comfort level in the relationship and does his best to adjust for it. He’s quite the cautious guy when it comes to decision making

As for dates, he’s always coming over to your place to cook dinner with you. He doesn’t dare to introduce Denji and Power this early (probably a smart call). He chooses to cook for you since it’s cheaper (and tastier) than going to a restaurant, but you can’t complain

Three weeks in, he takes fewer weekend shifts and chooses to instead spend them with you, usually following your whims. Whether it’s watching a show, doing arts and crafts, or cleaning, Aki wants nothing but to spend time with you doing anything

When Aki develops the courage to introduce you to Denji and Power, he gives you a bit of a prep talk, saying how much of a handful they are and that’s he’s kinda stuck with them. Meeting the two of them, you get along with them amazingly, to Aki’s relief (and a little bit dismay)

Since then, Denji and Power and constantly asking demanding for you to come back and spend time with them. Thankfully you also find them endearing and spend a lot of time at Aki’s apartment, being a great friend for Denji and Power and further earning more of Aki’s love and motivating him to bring you into the Hayakawa family ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Denji

No one is as excited to be with you as Denji is. From the moment you tell him that you like him too, he does whatever he can to be the best boyfriend to you. You’re aware of his less-than-ideal background so you’re not too surprised when he’s a bit unpredictable

You’re a student and are quite used to finding Denji waiting for you outside of school once it’s over. The students you know look at him with disdain due to his unruly appearance, but that doesn’t matter; you’d claim him as your boyfriend with a smile on your face any day

Looking at the time, you notice Denji isn’t quite off the clock yet, so you shoo him off to take care of it and keep him out of trouble. This becomes part of your daily routine so you’re used to it

When at home, you wait for Denji to arrive so you can begin cooking. You have been taking it upon yourself to teach Denji how to cook and despite being a little clumsy, he’s a quick learner since he memorizes everything you says

Reze

When Reze stepped into Japan to capture Chainsaw Man’s heart, she fully expected to leave everything behind once her mission was completed. There was no room for her to be emotionally invested in anyone, especially outside of her line of work.

You’ve recently moved to Tokyo and decide to try out a nice little coffee shop nearby and entering the shop, you are greeted by a sweet voice welcoming you. Once you sit down, she cheerily brought you water and took your order

It’s a slow morning so Reze brings your order and sits in front of you to converse. She learns about you being a student and studying for finals. Reze is amazing at conversation, asking all of the right questions about your classes and which ones you’re dreading

After you pay and leave, she remembers her mission, chainsaw man. Usually, her mission details don’t slip her mind so easily. Without realizing it, you’ve become quite the distraction for her, slowly occupying her mind more than her mission

A few days later she’s walking home from getting food and spots you from afar. Running to you, Reze startles you by tapping your shoulder and cheerily calling your name. You two talk for a bit, you telling her that you were going out to eat. Despite having already eaten she tags along.

The two of you sit and talk with Reze cheerily asking you questions to get to know you better. Whenever you reciprocate by asking more about her, she plays koi by saying “hmm, that’s a mystery, don’t worry!”

Once you finish eating and leave the restaurant, Reze gets your phone number and the two of you part ways. You walk away thinking about how weird (affectionately) she is and where to go from there. Reze walks away, debating on how close she wants to get with you, feeling that you’re worth opening up to

Quanxi

As the first (and strongest) devil hunter, Quanxi has quite a reputation. And that doesn’t include her harem of devils, which is extra fuel to the fire of her reputation. You’ve heard so much about her that she seems almost unreal to you, a bit terrifying considering you who are.

You’re a fiend who was recently brought in to serve as a devil hunter, and your boss immediately puts you through training. And of all people to train you, Quanxi is the one assigned to you, giving you a bit of pressure that comes with the job

Despite everything you’ve heard about her lingering in your mind, you can’t help but find Quanxi’s presence relaxing as she’s quite kind (as kind as devil hunters go) during your training, even if you are new to this branch

After your patrol, Quanxi brings you to a fast-food restaurant where you’re introduced to her harem. Meeting them and seeing how they all interact, your preconceived notions are challenged as you see a new side of her that’s quite endearing, not the devil hunter you’ve feared

The more time you spend with her, in and out of work, the more you realize that Quanxi is so much more than her title as the first devil hunter. And as you realize this, Quanxi asks you a question that nearly jolts you out of your skin, “Would you like to be one of my girls?”

Such a question scared you. As a devil, you’re not too familiar with romance and all it entails, so you decide to respond in the only way that suits you. You tell her that you want to understand love more before you can make such a decision, to which Quanxi respects and offers to help you

Aki

Aki’s been so focused on his work that he never really paid any mind to Valentine’s Day, you’re the first person he’s ever gone on dates with.

He asks you to be his Valentine the week before, “If you’re free on the 14th, would you like to go on a date with me?”

You accept his invitation, teasing him for his formality in asking you, despite already being his partner

He didn’t want your Valentine’s Day date to be like any of your normal dates, he wanted it to be special.

For the few week leading up to Valentine’s Day, he’s scouting out flower and confectionery shops and even made a reservation for one of your favorite restaurants

The day of, he goes to your apartment with a small bouquet of your favorite flowers and a box of dark chocolate

He’s dressed formally (not the normal devil hunter uniform) with a blue bowtie that matches his eyes

He drives the two of you to your date which happens to be the restaurant you had your first date at

Aki, despite being a devil hunter, still gets nervous about your dates, hoping to god that it goes perfectly for you two

Everything goes perfectly and on your way home, he gently holds your hand as he drives, with a smile permanently etched on his face

Denji

Given his childhood, Denji’s not familiar with Valentine’s Day, with Aki asking him if he’s going to do anything with you

After a quick crash course on Valentine’s Day, Denji (with Aki’s help) looks for ways to celebrate with you. Before making plans, however, he decides to ask you if you’re free on the 14th, to which you respond that you are.

Hearing this, Denji eagerly, not-so-subtly asks if you’d like to spend the day together with him.

Again, you say yes much to Denji’s excitement even if he doesn’t use the word ‘Valentine’

On the morning of the 14th (6am holy shit), you wake up to Denji knocking on your door with a big dumb grin on his face and a backpack on his back

In his arms are an indiscernible amount of bouquets and in his backpack, a seemingly infinite amount of chocolate and other candies you two like (still in pristine condition)

After giving you the gifts and wishing you a Happy Valentine’s Day, Denji sits in your room utterly starstruck as you perform your morning routine

For Valentine’s Day, the two of you go to the mall and the arcade and play every single game together before going into a photobooth and spending no less than 2000 yen on photos and doing silly poses

For lunch and dinner, the two of you decide to keep it lowkey and eat at locally owned restaurants before going home and cuddling in bed as you watch corny love movies before falling asleep on the third one

Makima

Makima’s only perception of Valentine’s Day is what she’s seen in movies and heard from other people, but decides to play it safe for you

She goes to Himeno and Aki and asks about their plans/advice (though she’d never admit it), to which they both obliged

Himeno gave her ideas for places to visit and romance movies to watch and Aki gave her ideas for snacks and restaurants as it’s his first time celebrating

Makima decides to cook dinner with you but does listen to Himeno about the romance movies (how could she say no to movies with you?)

She approaches you at work and, as nonchalantly as ever, she asks if you’re free on the 14th and if you’d like to celebrate with her (she should know the answer by now)

Her smile seems a lot more genuine when you say yes, giving you a light peck on the cheek before getting back to work

Despite being together for a few months, you two haven’t moved in together so she picks you up from your apartment and brings you to her condo

As the two of you cook together you listen to cheesy love songs (Makima’s request) and do small dances together during which she plants small, genuine kisses on your cheeks

After eating together, you two cook popcorn and watch the love movies (also corny) as you two sit cuddled on the couch surrounded by her huskies

She looks at you halfway through the movie and simply says “Valentine’s Day is quite a fun human holiday isn’t it?” to which you couldn’t agree more

Reze

Reze was WAITING to ask you out for Valentine’s Day ever since your first date. Spending time with you had felt so liberating since she now has so many things she can do with you, and Valentine’s Day was high on that list

As you visit her at the cafe for a morning coffee, she plops down next to you, lying her head on your shoulder. “Soooo you’re free on the 14th, I’m free on the 14th. Thoughts?” the tactic she always uses to plan dates with you

To match her playfulness, you play naive and say “well it IS a Saturday. I could do anything” with Reze responding by gently tapping your cheek. “I heard there will be a fair especially for couples. Cotton candy, popcorn, ferris wheels” she says causing you to give in to her antics

“Sounds like someone really really wants to go.” Reze lightly responds, “really? You’re really perceptive!”

You two plan to spend the day together starting with a sleepover at her apartment the day before

On the 14th, you both wake up at the same time and cook breakfast together to music with Reze singing with a wooden spoon in her hand

You two leave together hand in hand as you go to the local mall to shop for date clothes as is your tradition

While shopping together, you use your digital camera to take photos of Reze, often catching her off guard but still smiling

You walk around the fair with Reze, buying so many snacks that you will definitely not finish. Whenever Reze is done with her snack, she will, without warning, try feeding it to you

Hello! This will be my first long-form story based on a prompt of Reze finding herself in the "real" world, where Chainsaw Man and its media don't exist. I'm thinking of making multiple parts to this story, so please bear with me. Anyway, I hope you enjoy :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As I get off the train, all I can think about is getting home and showering. tonight’s shift was a bit rougher than most, as I had to cover for my coworker after my finals.

Working at Saizeriya can be nice, especially when you get the discounts, but other times it feels like a mental brazen bull.

Luckily, I’ve only got 15 more shifts until I'm done and getting ready to pack my bags to head back home. Just a month and a half.

Studying in Japan is a great and a stress free experience. unless you’re a STEM student who works most days and whose Japanese is only strong enough to get by day to day. So it’s perfect if you’re not in my situation.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t regret studying engineering in Tokyo in the slightest, but a lot of my enjoyment was stifled by the amount of everything I have to do.

I make it to my apartment building and climb the stairs, fishing for my keys in my pocket. Once I’m at my apartment door i lazily insert the key before finding that the door is already unlocked.

huh, weird. I never leave my door unlocked, no matter how safe Japan may be.

Slowly stepping in i scan the apartment and notice a few lights on that were definitely turned off earlier.

I take my shoes off before creeping further into the apartment. Turning the corner into the kitchen i notice a few things out of place. For context, my kitchen is merged with the “living room,” if you could call it that. It’s a kitchen area with space for a table and an outdated TV that I never use.

Context out of the way, the TV is on what seems to be the news channel. The dishes that I left in the sink out of sheer laziness were now clean and neatly stacked. Shamed to say, I know that wasn’t me (It’s been a rough week).

Turning to the other corner, I notice my bedroom door is open ever so slightly. I approach the door and gently push it open before gingerly stepping in.

I walk past the door and immediately get tackled against the wall with an arm wrapped around my neck, strangling me and causing me and whoever is on my back to fall on my side.

Now, I’m not at all a self-defense expert, so what happens next is beyond embarrassing.

I attempted to punch behind me and ended up punching my eye and let out a yelp that sounded closer to a fox than that of a 19-year-old adult (debatable).

My second punch landed on my assailant, to which their only reaction was a simple huff, and their grip only got stronger.

Fuck.

“君に質問ある” the voice, a feminine one, said. I recognized it as saying “I have questions for you.”

“分かった..” (”okay”) is all I can muster as the arm around my neck strains my speech. After my response, however, the arm slackens a bit but does not move from my neck.

“英語ができる？” (”can you speak English”). If she couldn’t speak English, then I would be beyond cooked.

Fortunately for me, she responded “Yes”.

“Great, can you let me go?” I manage to say weakly. “I promise you that I’m not much of a fighter.”

The voice doesn’t respond for a few seconds. Even though I knew that my request was unreasonable, I couldn’t wait to get this person off of me.

“Fine,” She said simply before letting go of me and standing up. I position my arm so that I’m leaning on it, turning to look up at the voice.

Standing above me is a woman with shoulder-length purple hair and piercing green eyes staring down at me apathetically. She was outfitted in a white dress shirt, a black tie, and black dress pants.

After a few seconds of catching my breath, I gently stand up, a lot slower than my “guest” did.

”Sit down,” my guest said, gesturing to my bed, to which I obliged. There’s no way I’m going to risk getting my ass kicked again.

“Before you ask your questions, what are you doing in my apartment?”

Her eyes bore into me a bit, analyzing me. Her hand reaches into her pocket and pulls out a small, and worn out wallet. She takes out a card and hands it to me.

It’s a resident card, a card for foreign nationals living in Japan, which didn’t bother me like the fact that her address was the same as mine. I grab my own wallet and take my resident card out and carefully compare the two. My heart sank further the more I reread the address.

I know this is a little late, got super occupied during the holidays. I'll also try to make my posts a bit more aesthetic, so they don't look boring Also also don't forget to request anything you'd like (within reason ofc)

Makima

She finds Christmas celebrations to be trivial, never partaking when she was single

Of course she’s studied Christmas movies to understand the importance of the holiday, but upon seeing that couples and families celebrate, she doesn’t need to put in the effort

That all changes once you two get together

In preparation for the Christmas spirit, Makima spends a weekend finding decorations for her apartment and ingredients for baking and cooking

She’s also bought Santa hats and stockings for you two (And some for her dogs)

Instead of getting a tree herself, she asks one of her underlings, most likely Aki, to get one for her

On Christmas Eve, she has it all planned for the two of you: stop by the nearest Christmas market, walk around the streets of Japan, which are covered in festive colors, and to top the night off, a lovely dinner at her apartment before baking cookies and watching Christmas movies together

Christmas Day is more lowkey as the two of you exchange gifts before continuing the Christmas movie marathon from the day before.

The two of you cook dinner together, following a cookbook Makima found in preparation for this day

What used to be the most isolated time of the year for her became the season she most looked forward to

Reze

Growing up as a soldier in the USSR, Reze never had the chance to celebrate Christmas

She’s heard of the festivities while on missions, but never let herself get sidetracked enough to enjoy herself

She met you, but the thought of indulging in such a capitalistically driven holiday still didn’t cross her mind. It isn’t until the two of you actually grow close enough to consider yourselves a couple that the thought hits her

Before December rolls around, Reze takes the time to ask her mission superiors the best way to celebrate Christmas, much to their confusion. She justifies this by saying it’s for the mission to succeed, right? Yeah totally.

Either way, she puts in the effort to learn how to celebrate, even asking you about your plans.

The two of you make plans for Christmas and what are those plans? Free ball it

You both look for different restaurants to try for dinner before deciding on a cute cafe decorated for the holiday

Reze finds a store selling Christmas headbands and she puts a reindeer one on you while getting herself a Santa hat

You two walk through a park before Reze sneakily pelts you with a snowball. What ensues is a chaotic snowball fight between the two of you

For the first time in her life, Reze had the chance to enjoy Christmas with someone she felt herself falling for. The higher-ups don’t need to know about this, her mission can wait, right?

Asa

Asa never had a reason to celebrate Christmas since her mother died. She never had friends or family to celebrate with so there was no point

She’d hear how happy her classmates were to celebrate Christmas and she’d envy that excitement

It wasn’t until the two of you were getting closer that you asked her to join in some Christmas shopping.

She agreed since she didn’t have anyone to buy gifts for, so she was happy just spending time with you

You meet Asa at her apartment and hand her a small present, which shocks her into silence

Her mind starts racing at this before realizing that this meant that she needed to get you a gift

As the two of you are shopping, Asa’s eyes dart to find the perfect gift for you before the end of this trip

Asa SHOULD have a knack for gift giving, but not on a whim like this. That’s something she’ll get better with the closer she gets to you

In the meantime, she makes do with getting you a snow globe showing a Japanese temple. Thankfully, you love it and give her a hug, causing her to blush

Synopsis: Makima made a group chat for Special Division 4 including the reader. Denji has been a lonely dude since losing everyone he cared for working for Public Safety.

He shuffles along with his depressing school life not expecting anything to come out. During his lunchtime, he eats alone and scrounges around hoping to find anything valuable to sell

If you were to ask Denji what he does at school, he wouldn’t be able to remember in the slightest

Today is a normal, boring day of school with Denji making 500 Yen from letting girls sit on him

During his lunch break you walk up to him as he finishes his lunch

He assumes you want to use him as a seat so it surprises him when you sit beside him.

When the two of you start talking, he immediately starts to feel things for you since no one has paid him this much attention Before the conversation ends, Denji decides to make the move by asking you out on a date (Bro moves a bit quickly)

You accept much to his surprise and plan to go to the movie theater to watch several movies 

It’s the day of the date and you meet him outside of the movie theater 

During the movies, you constantly talk to him about the movies that you’re watching because you love analyzing the movies you watch

Denji has no idea half of what you’re saying but he likes talking to you about the movies

Once the date is over, you two leave the theater and he drops you off at your apartment, mind rushing with more ideas of dates to go on

Aki

As someone who was more emotionally invested in avenging his family, he hardly had much time to consider finding a partner

He had Himeno as a great friend but since she’s out of the picture (dead as hell), he’s pretty much emotionally alone

He had been anxious to meet the new members of Division 4 mainly due to his trauma

You were probably one of the most promising of the newbies, being the one who was easiest to train

After Division 4 defeats the Katana man and Akane Sawatari, you guys go out to celebrate the victory

This is where you and him begin to hit it off as friends.

Of course, he’s a bit distant but after a few patrols with the guy he becomes a bit friendlier

You quit devil hunting to get a job that’s less dangerous but still stay in touch with Aki

After the international Devil Hunter arc you go to check up on Aki to make sure that he’s doing alright

After that point, you practically move into his apartment to give him a helping hand :) with everything like cooking and cleaning

This is when Aki starts to truly understand how he feels about you and asks you out

He asks you to go everywhere with him as you are his home away from home

When Aki tells Kishibe about quitting being a devil hunter, he thinks of Denji and Power, but most importantly, he thinks about a future with you.

Today is a relaxing day where you decide to sleep in.

This is my first x reader fanfiction, so please give me plenty of criticism. You can also request certain scenarios. I hope you enjoy :) Makima:

Makima is not a devil who cares for love. She finds the idea of love to be below her, a human concept that doesn’t concern her.

You two are coworkers at the Public Safety office in Tokyo. She’s a superior and you’re a new hire, ready to prove yourself

At first, she pays you no attention unless it’s to give you orders. Whatever kind of worker you are, lazy, hardworking, enthusiastic, etc., whatever it is, it slowly catches her attention.

At first, the idea of you becoming a lingering thought to her vexes her. She’s an important person who has to run a government organization, she has no reason to get interested in anyone, even in a platonic sense

But she can’t help it, something about you stays with her until the end of the day. This can’t persist, as she has plans for Chainsaw Man and the world. With all the devils of hell to deal with, one measly human can’t distract her

She “accidentally” let some devils loose in the Tokyo district and sent you and your team to go and fix the situation.

Despite all the odds stacked against you, you survive and this does it, Makima then can’t help but think of you CONSTANTLY.

Slowly but surely her schemes pivot from Chainsaw Man and eradicating devils to getting you to be just as infatuated with her as she is with you

Maybe she could make some use of you as well

Kobeni:

Poor ‘Beni, there’s no way in hell that she has the confidence to ask you out. It’s all on you, champ

For Kobeni, you will definitely need to be coworkers for you two to become close. She has to work constantly in order to please her abusive family.

You guys are assigned to patrol the city on day and that is how you two meet.

During that patrol, you strike up conversations with Kobeni, who, despite her nervous appearance, cheerfully reciprocates.

You don’t mind her nervousness, in fact, you find it quite endearing, leading you to slowly fall for her

After that patrol, you two exchange contact information to stay in touch outside of work.

This is where she will progressively open up to you about her family problems and the difficulties that she has to go through and, to her surprise, you listen and try to help her on an emotional level

No one really cared about her emotionally so she didn’t know what to do, she felt a bit overwhelmed

You being there for her and being a genuinely kind person to her is what makes her slowly grow attached to you and what makes you fall for her even harder.

You ask her to go out to eat or to watch a movie. You stop short of calling it a “date” just in case

You both have a great time

She doesn’t admit it out loud, but she would definitely agree to a few more dates

Asa:

You’re a student who transferred to Fourth East High School. You introduce yourself to the class.

Asa doesn’t think much of you at first, you’re just another student after all.

It isn’t until you are seated next to Asa that she finally pays you any attention
