Today is the first of April, which means that Gripenhem turns two this week. In the last year I’ve carved most of the buildings, and painted about half of them. I should have the buildings all painted sometime this summer, then move on to details, building the river and waterfalls, and all of the natural parts. I planned on about three years to build this project, so at two years I’d estimate that things are right on schedule.

Let us not forget the horrific tragedy that befell our country that day and the innocent lives that were lost.  Let us not embolden our enemy by allowing us to live in despair.  Let us prove that we are still the beacon of hope and liberty in the world that they envy and seek to destroy.  Let us not forget those that have sacrificed their lives to ensure those freedoms.  We are Americans.  We will not tremble.  We only overcome.
