Today I finished the last bits of my undergrad courses. I’ll walk the stage and get my official degree papers in about a month, then I’ll start working on my masters degree -!!

Haven’t posted in a month... I’ve been super busy between studying and wrapping up my major projects to finish out this degree.

One of my grant applications was rejected but I was waitlisted for the significantly more prestigious one. If someone doesn’t accept their offer then it might end up in my lap.

09.03.26 - monday

Today is my first day feeling somewhat capable of coherent thought after having food poisoning. I took advantage and started/finished the methodology section of my paper. Even though I hate the thought of having to present my work to a large group of people in April, I am starting to get excited to share the research I’ve been doing all year, especially after getting positive feedback and being able to answer my supervisors questions intelligently. I also volunteered for a campus event at the start of May, so that’s something nice and easy to look forward to.

07.03.26 - saturday

I’m sick in bed today with food poisoning. I was up all night in the throes of it but things have significantly calmed down now. Mostly I just have really intense body aches from being bent around the tub and toilet weird for so long and my stomach still isn’t 100%, but anything is better than how I felt last night.

Highlights from this week:

Presented my preliminary experiment findings and interpretations to my lab + a visiting postdoc (terrifying)

Supervisor took the lab out for lunch and I had a really tasty sandwich. I think the side salad gave me food poisoning though because that’s the only thing I ate out of the norm lately and the others that got the same sandwich as me with the fries instead are all fine

Watched the ashley madison and handsome devil documentaries

Finished the participant sessions for my study!

Completed the related works section for my paper
