What began as a portrait for David Goldman’s Motorcycle Portraits series evolved into Mirror Mirror, a photographic collaboration with photographer Jamie Nelson. Set within Jamie’s Los Angeles “Pink Mansion”, the series presents an unusual dynamic: a photographer photographing another photographer, raising a simple question: who ultimately shapes the story, the subject or the person behind the lens?

Maurizio Cattelan’s "Comedian", stolen from an exhibition at the Centre Pompidou-Metz.

Police are reportedly investigating several persons of interest, including Bananas in Pyjamas (B1 & B2), Donkey Kong, Bananaman, Banana Joe, and Coco Banana.

Yet the Ansel Adams Publishing Rights Trust says it was never consulted, never notified, and that Adams’s name, reputation, and most iconic image were subsequently used to promote a commercial AI colourisation venture.

Respect and commercialisation are not synonymous.

The controversy raises uncomfortable questions about authorship, consent, legacy, and who gets to profit from the reputations of artists who can no longer speak for themselves.

One photograph. Endless myths.

Greg Brennan’s image of Kate Moss smoking in a London theatre fire exit became one of his best-known photographs. Taken in 2007, the image became emblematic of the supermodel’s so-called “party era”, shaped by years of tabloid fascination during fashion’s “heroin chic” era of the 1990s. Greg says much of the public perception surrounding the photograph was simply untrue.

Trust sits at the centre of David Goldman’s practice.

Some images become part of popular culture. People remember the photograph, even if they don’t always know the photographer behind it.

David Goldman’s image for Blink-182’s "Enema of the State" became one of the most recognisable album covers of the early 2000s.

Addicted is excited to welcome the award-winning photographer and filmmaker for the upcoming launch of his series “Mirror Mirror”.

Photographed inside Jamie Nelson’s “Pink Mansion” in Los Angeles, the series explores the dynamic of one photographer stepping into the world of another. Jamie’s world of vintage glamour, sexuality, and self-expression is not simply aesthetic backdrop, but an extension of the persona she lives and breathes. Within that space, the work moves through increasingly visible conversations around authorship, image ownership, and the evolving relationship between photographer and subject in contemporary visual culture.

The images feel collaborative, but they’re not passive. They are shaped, considered, and ultimately authored through David Goldman’s photographic perspective.
