I'm Probably Sleeping

It wasn't just indigenous nations that did the work of making the land lush and good, it was a collaborative effort. Beavers and bison and trumpeter swans and red winged blackbirds and wolves all played their part, keeping balances in check, spreading seeds in their dung, churning up the land for plants with their migration, creating still waters, etc. They won't get credit in necessarily the same way as humans will but land back does mean land back for our non human relatives too.
